Aww feel really sorry for her now. It was sounding like they had gto to the point of being really uncomfortable last night.

Hopefully like you say moving around might get things going.

I dont quite know whether I should be hoping for things to get moving or whether I should be hoping for her body to keep little George in there for a while longer yet!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/03/2009 10:05

Springy - well yes they're scaremongering me about me only being 34 weeks. and my cervix is apparently completely as it should be and not effaced at all. dont even know how thats possible .

If she was 37 weeks I would be saying she should go home, have marathon sex and spring clean the flat incredibly energetically.

But she is only 34 weeks so this is a bit of a problem.

Schulte · 01/03/2009 10:06

LOL no more sex for Springy then I guess! Sounds to me like it's all dying down, probably better that way, surely the longer baby stays in the better? Thanks for the excitement though Springy All the best and hopefully the pain goes away soon and you can enjoy a few more weeks of peace and quiet. xxx

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 10:07

IMO active labour means the cervix is doing something, otherwise I would be classified as being in active labour most days.

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 10:08

It's a bit of an anticlimax. I really though he would be born by now!!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 10:09

Nutty can you ask Springy what her instincts are telling her to do?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/03/2009 10:10

aww i really feel for her

So are they just really really bad BHs? Doesn't really make much sense to me - bless springy she must be knackered! I think 2 more weeks might be nice for Little george but the stress of contractions (if they happen this regulalry) can't be good on him either...

Bicnod · 01/03/2009 10:10

Oh noooooooooo... just logged on. Poor springy that sounds so upsetting and frustrating - all that pain and cervix still the same, i didn't even know that could happen... i assumed that once proper contractions started that was it.

so she'll come home and just have to deal with ongoing contractions for the next 6 weeks?! surely not...

Bicnod · 01/03/2009 10:10

oh, morning everyone by the way

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 10:12

regularly even!!

What a nightmare night for her it must be so frustrating (will he/wont he etc!) her hospital do sound a bit rubbish tho!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 10:13

Hold my hand people, I have peeped at the nasty thread again and they are willfully misinterpreting what I said.

I WILL NOT POST I WILL NOT POST I WILL NOT POST!!

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 10:14

On the plus side, Little George has had his steroid boost so when he is ready to come out (even if a little early) he will be a strong old chap!!

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 10:15

Boffin, stop reading it! just ignore them and remember you do not ned to respond to their ignorance!!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 10:16

I am sure he's strong anyway. He kicks in time to the bonking, remember? I think she has a drummer in there.

At least if she comes home we can all talk to her on MN.

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 10:16

I AM STRONG!! I WILL NOT EVEN LOOK!!

Claireykitten · 01/03/2009 10:17

It is a good word!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 10:24

I DO NOT CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ACADEMICS!! I DO NOT CARE I DO NOT CARE I DO NOT CARE.

Using the hypnobirthing positive affirmation approach:

My cervix will open easily regardless of opinions of my industry.

During my surges I will feel myself opening even if people are busy slagging me off on MN.

I wait to greet my baby into the world, who will be cuter and more cuddly than any of their babies.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/03/2009 10:24

Morning Bicnod
