Boff - dont feel hurt, they are nothing to you and they know nothing about you and the extent of your expertise or how hard you have worked to gain it xx

Boff - you are right. Not sure about the diplomatically bit though

Smutty - gig rocked, I left really early though was knackered! It was fancy dress and I went as a hippy, DH came at the end and said 'Wow, you look like Mama Cass'. The rudeness!!

BoffinMum · 28/02/2009 20:28

That is really quite funny, MathsMummy!

BoffinMum · 28/02/2009 20:29

I have to say I like all your supportive posts - it's a bit like "Come on Boff, they're not worth it" outside a pub or something while we're all bristling up!

You are great girls, you lot. You make me smile.

Schulte · 28/02/2009 20:42

Boff, she was diagnosed with croup just before Christmas but then went on to have 2 febrile convulsions, tonsillitis and a very bad ear infection that same evening. So I really didn't know what to make of that diagnosis, maybe it was just the sore throat that made her cough in a funny way? In theory I know all the things you're supposed to do so have put wet laundry in her room and opened the windows etc. but I guess I am just as scared of her developing a fever again as of her having an attack of croup.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 28/02/2009 20:42

gonna grab a bath, see you in a bit

I can see why you are worried. Does she have a temperature at all?

Schulte · 28/02/2009 20:46

Not at the moment... also she only coughed once during the day...

BoffinMum · 28/02/2009 20:50

It's sounding a bit more positive than your last experience then.

But these things always have to happen at the weekend, don't they???

Wonder how Springy is getting on.

Schulte · 28/02/2009 20:50

Am going upstairs with a book now so am near DD. Do you think I am paranoid?

Night night everyone.

BoffinMum · 28/02/2009 20:50

I think if it puts your mind at rest that is a good thing.

She has a lovely mummy.

Schulte · 28/02/2009 20:51

At least at the weekend DH is around as well. Yes Springy... not much fun being monitored in hospital and having those steroid injections, I've been there too.

Schulte · 28/02/2009 20:52

Thanks Boff you're going to make me cry Good night!

mathsmummy27 · 28/02/2009 21:05

Where has everyone gone??

I am wearing a stretchy nightie oooooh so comfy.

BoffinMum · 28/02/2009 21:09

I am flopped over the foot stool to my glidey chair with my chin on my triangular bf cushion about to watch an episode of Heroes on DVD

PuzzleRocks · 28/02/2009 21:10

Goodnight Schulte, I hope DD is ok.

BoffinMum · 28/02/2009 21:14

Puzzle if you had to pick a superpower for yourself, what would it be?

BabyBolat · 28/02/2009 21:14

sorry we were discussing names - God I hope this baby is a girl!!!

Schulte good luck with DD hope all is ok!!

NUTTY - why are you leaving????

PuzzleRocks · 28/02/2009 21:22

I'm greedy, could I be like Sylar and steal everyone else's powers?
I guess postnatally it would be nice to heal myself like Claire.
And with two young children soon it would be pretty handy to be able to stop time like Hero so I could get on with things while the children were frozen.
Invisbility would be great so I could go for lovely long night time walks by myself and not feel nervous.
See, i'm too greedy to choose.

Bicnod · 28/02/2009 21:23

Just popping in as back from epic trip to sainsbury's and need to go and make dinner (the cafe was shut so that romantic meal out was scuppered)...

...omigod!!! how exciting about springy...

will check in later to get another update

boffinmum - so glad you're sticking around i know i don't post very often but i do catch up on everyone's news as much as i can and i think you're all lovely

PuzzleRocks · 28/02/2009 21:24

Honestly, that Nutty. Does she not have a wireless laptop she can take in the bath. What if something happens. Tsk.

mathsmummy27 · 28/02/2009 21:25

What's happening with Springy?? I need to go to bed zzzzzzzz
Will check back in a bit. Sending her good thoughts

PuzzleRocks · 28/02/2009 21:26

Oh Bicnod, shame. Perhaps he will take you there post baby to celebrate.

BoffinMum · 28/02/2009 21:27

For me it's a toss up between the time and space one, to move forward to after the birth, or the self-healing thing. I think my preference is for the latter in view of the SPD.

PuzzleRocks · 28/02/2009 21:28

DH back from his dirty fag in the garden so i'm going to watch the last Masterchef now. I haven't been able to turn on the news or read my paper today in case I found out.
