Thank you for your opinion princeonthemove. I have been on the internet for many many years. I know the words will stick around.

And I stand behind them.

What happened to Anna is a huge tragedy. And I have emailed her directly with my sympathy.

But life goes on. And there are many other women on this thread with babies due in about 3 months who were starting to feel badly about feeling badly over their own pregnancy concerns.

We have all been speaking for about 25 weeks. We all know each other. I don't think anyone who actually knows Anna is at all upset with what I said.

Well said Tee x

hello all- i used to be on this thread but fell off as we relocated to the middle east my dh will be working night and day so i think i will become a prolific poster

i am huge and met a lady due in 2 weeks today who had a smaller bump than me.. i was massive last time as well but i have a toddler to charge round after this time- he is 2 next week so am not quite so big.

having trouble sleeping due to baby kicking night and day plus worries about having the baby here.

dreamydowler · 09/03/2009 19:49

Im sure that Anna and her family will know how utterly devestated we all are at her loss and I think the last thing she would want for any of us is to worry ourselves sick literally for the rest of our pregnancies. Having had two miscarriages I know only too well that it does not help to be told its rare but equally I did not want my sisters or my daughter or any of my friends worrying themselves stupid that it might happen to them. All we can do is to count our kicks take good care of ourselves and pray for those babies that are lost along the way. We and others on this site will always be there for Anna and wouldnt ever be so callous as to forget her pain and suffering.

Anyway it is 10 individual kicks we should be feeling so if baby goes kick kick kick all at once that is counted as 3 kicks not 1 set of kicks Most babies will kick a hell of a lot more than this which is why at least 10 kicks should be felt.

Hi to all the New mums and returners by the way Im on my 8th for those that didnt know so will gladly help and offer advice where I can

We went for another ford galaxy in the end our second. They are very roomy inside and reasonably good on fuel and parts. In all fairness we probably could do with another minibus as we have 16 year old 10 year old 5 year old 2 year old 1 year old granddaughter and new baby aswell as my 17 year old and 19 year old daughter who need transporting about but we will have to manage for now.

I wouldnt worry about the size and shape of your bump too much as long as baby is growing inside you thats all that matters some people just have better stomache muscles than others and hold everything up better lol

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 09/03/2009 20:21

Daisy- sorry for my assumptions, should really read ( and remember, I have a 3yr old dd too so that should have at least clicked!) more carefully I hope i didn't offend with my big size 5's. Stand your ground and if you can't offload on mn then where!?!

Hi to muminmiddleeast- my bump has just ballooned my mum saw yeterday after not seeing me for just 5 days said OMG it definitely enters the room before you (and cheers ma!)

I have my GTT on wednesday and am relly beginning to worry as the only way i face mornings at the moment is after my one can of "fat boy" coke( yes I know not great but I have no other caffiene/tea / coffee ) it gets me going enough to deal with the dd's, how on earth m I going to cope til lunchtime for my caffiene fix!!!! All i can have is water

Tee2072 · 09/03/2009 21:07

I think my baby is reading along...he/she has been kicking me like crazy today!

chocciedooby · 09/03/2009 21:22

Hi ladies.

Had my sister over from England since Thursday so it has taken me a while to catch up.

I too am shocked and saddened by Anna's loss. There are no words....I just pray for her, her family and god bless poor little Chloe. May they all find the strength to get through this terrible time.

lauraloo09 · 09/03/2009 21:31

hiya choccie I hope you had a nice weekend with your sister x

chocciedooby · 09/03/2009 21:32

Well said Tee. I am always amazed when unknown "posters" come onto threads that have been running for months and have to try and start an argument. It really is not the time or the place. No-one on this thread is insensitive, in fact I have found everyone extremely friendly and supportive. Sometimes people come on, read a comment, get upset without really understanding the background etc and I am sure Anna understands where everyone on this thread is coming from.

I have had a lovely time with big sis It has however also been quite a stressful time with dh. I know exactly how you feel Daisy about not getting the right kind of support from dh etc. My dh is under a lot of pressure at work at the moment but tbh he has not been very supportive throughout my entire pgy

When someone asked the other day how many weeks I had left, he was amazed when I said 15. He didn't realise how far along I was!He just doesn't have a clue what I have been feeling, the pains I have suffered etc and whenever I do tell him I am getting "short stabbing pains in my groin" or "back pains" or "cannot stand for more than 20 mins or so without feeling like my vagina is falling out" he just ignores me!!!!

I have been feeling VERY depressed about all of this lately. He just doesn't want to know as he is focused on work and work only. I have felt very alone in this whole thing and things will only get more difficult once baby arrives. I know we need to talk about my feelings etc but he is always at work....

Is anyone else finding it difficult to stand for long periods of time??? I am seeing a physio on Thursday morning about my pelvis but this feels like something else. I am also seeing my ob on Friday ao hope to get answers then.

Is anyone getting the odd sharp stabbing nerve type pain up and down their pelvis/groin area? Anyone getting Braxton Hicks?

chocciedooby · 09/03/2009 21:33

Thanks Lauraloo.
Sorry I haven't replied to everyone elses comments but I am finding it really hard to keep up !

llynnnn · 09/03/2009 21:56

i havent been on the thread for a few days and am so so so shocked and sad by Anna/Juicy's sad news. I cant imagine what they are going through and send all my love and best wishes for them and their gorgeous little baby Cleo xxx

I'm sorry I havent really read the rest of the posts as am so shocked at the mo but I hope everyone else is well. Its not very 'mumsnetty' but big hugs to everyone and their bumps xx

Naat · 09/03/2009 22:01

Muminthemiddle Welcome back! I'm one of the new ones, just joined about a week and a half ago. 26+3wks, 12th June due date. Hope your worries about birth there can be eased. Have you gathered information from the doctors/MW about how it'll be?

Dreamy, great news about your car Enjoy it!

Laura I bet the baby loves it when you sing, and that's why it moves so much Well done! How exciting it's only 4 days till the 4d scan!!!

Daisy, hope things are better. X

Choccie, glad you had the chance to spend some time with your sis. I'm so to hear about your feelings of lack of support... Could you maybe talk to DH about it and try and make him understand how you feel? They're all full of work but they have to see we're veeery pg, have pains and aches because of it and that, most important of all, a lovely baby is coming soon! Loads of hugs and support from here, don't feel down, hon.

And yes, I do feel that standing for long has a very negative effect on me. My legs starts hurting, my back as well... You're not alone there...HOpe the physio gives you some tips on how to feel better. No BH that I know of for the time being. I've been told not everyone gets them and that there's nothing to worry if you don't.

MrsMcJnr, how has your day been? Feeling better?

Doris, happy thoughts going your way on Friday so that you survive your caffeine-free morning

As for me, loads of work today from home, I'll tell you about our hypnobirthing session tomorrow, if not this post will be endless

dreamydowler · 09/03/2009 22:11

ooohh Dorris good luck with your gtt I have mine on the 25th along with my scan other 28 week blood tests and antenatal clinic Still havent got my head around how Im going to do all that in one day. I have to starve then make sure I drink enough water for the scan along with the disgusting gloop they give you for the test. Find time to eat after the test and possibly not until after the scan avoid heartburn and being sick and still have my bloods and follow up clinic. Im a bit bothered by the fact that my dad has just last week been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes aswell so really need to try to be extra good in the lead up to the test.

I too had a few braxton hicks over the weekend but seems to have settled again now thankfuly. Heartburn seems to be getting loads worse though

chocciedooby · 09/03/2009 22:39

Thanks for your kind words Naat.

I really feel that the hormones are surging at the moment. I am on an emotional rollercoaster.

So excited to meet baby though

Tee2072 · 10/03/2009 07:52

Good morning all.

Still feeling very icky, so taking another day off. I'm sure my boss is less than pleased, but he'll get over it!

I just can't seem to sleep more than a few hours at a time, so by the time morning comes, I feel like I haven't slept at all. Not a good feeling.

choccie I too cannot stand or even walk for very long periods without my back really aching. No BH for me though. Some groin pain.

Oh, this is so.much.fun!!

OP posts:
June2009 · 10/03/2009 09:13

choccie Are you and dh going to go to some antenatal clssses together? It's kinda opened my dh's eyes a bit (not that he was bad to start with).

I had Braxton Hicks for a whole night about a month ago or so and they worried me senseless until someone on here explained what they were (I thought labour had started! ) I've had them a couple of times since.

I think I have had that sharp pain you mentionned before I went to the physio for spd. I've seen her twice now and she showed me a few exercises to do and gave me advice on posture, how to sit, stand etc which have really helped subside the pain.

Doris and dreamy I have my gtt next week on 18th, not looking forward to fasting and hoping that it'll all go well as otherwise I won't be accepted at the midwife centre for delivery. I was told not to eat anything specific or avoid anything specific, just to be as normal as possible.

Tee Hope you get better soon, I've been having erratic nights sleep as well and it makes everything harder, doesn't it.
(and wtf @ barging mystery poster? Left me feeling the same as if they'd been eavesdropping on our convo, farted and then left!

Heartburns: argh, I have heartburns after everything I eat, no matter how small.
Got some Gaviscon prescribed by the doctor.

Seeing the midwife on Thursday for bloods, and I'm going to ask for the health in pregnancy grant form then.

at your 4D scan Laura, I can't wait to see your pics :D
I've been trying to book one with babybond and they haven't got back to my last two emails about the costs. I'll call them today and if they still don't get back to me I'll look elsewhere.

I know it's a busy week for me but I can't quite remember half the stuff I have planned .

lauraloo09 · 10/03/2009 09:25

june the prices of babybond's scans are on their website thats who I am getting my scan from.

Give this a try and you'd be best phoning they are pretty hopeless at replying to emails

MrsMcJnr · 10/03/2009 09:45

Hi ladies, really selfish quick post but I m looking for some advice, or re-assurance really. I have just had a call from the state hospital where I plan to have my baby and they want me to go for a scan on Thursday. Clearly that male midwife isn't excepting the findings of my provate scans either!! anyway, another scan is all fine and well but on Thursday I already have the GTT at 8.30 and then a full and through scan with my own dr in the evening. It is going to be hell of a day but I can't change any of the appointments. Do you think I should be worried about two scans in one day for the sake of the baby? I've read that the scan can emit really high pitched noises and they often squirm to get away from the noise and I am worried that twice in one day may be too much for her

MrsMcJnr · 10/03/2009 09:45

accepting even

Tee2072 · 10/03/2009 10:00

The scans are perfectly harmless, mrsmcj. The baby might move away from them, but it won't harm her at all. Have the two scans and enjoy them!

OP posts:
June2009 · 10/03/2009 10:01

Thanks laura, I've been to that page but we're looking at combining a couple of scans which she said we could do but never got back to me on the final price :S
I will call them I think it'll be quicker!
I have been there once and they were very nice, there's parking too and they're open on Sundays and location is quite convenient for us which is why although I have looked elsewhere I haven't really considered other places. Price wise they are the best for what we want anyway.

Are you having yours with them too?

chocciedooby · 10/03/2009 10:05

Good Morning everyone.

Mrsmc I had 2 scans in about the space of an hour at 20 weeks. I don't know much about the effects of them tbh. When we discussed the possibility of having a 3d scan the sonographer said it was up to us but she didn't think a lot of scans were a good idea. Then off I went to have another scan with my ob?! I don't think there will be any harm getting yours done. My ob scans me every time I visit (once a month).

Sorry to hear Tee that you are experiencing similar problems to me with walking and standing. I took DS1 to cosser on Saturday. its only for an hour but after 30 minutes I felt this aching pressure type pain in my lower regions and I really needed to sit.

I also have yet another head cold Why do I keep getting these??? Bug after bug....When I fell pg this time around I had never felt healthier so my little bud must be sucking all the goodness out of me

chocciedooby · 10/03/2009 10:06

soccer. (oops)
