Here we go again....

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Swaliswan · 29/01/2009 22:26

The girls at work don't think that I'll last until the end of feb before I give birth I try telling them that I'm not even 32 weeks until the last day in feb and I think that I'll manage to get further than that, but they think that they are going to end up delivering Bean on the unit.

BabyBolat · 29/01/2009 22:27

Good, so I can tell my bosses that Nutty says I can sleep through feb as it is officially wiped out - I think they will be fine with that!

Anyway, sorry to rant and run but I should really go and rescue the duvet from DH's bum.

Night all

I'll do my best for the cause tomorrow. Don't have much in the way of work.

I dont like it........ I dont like it.........I really really dont like it!!! (sits rocking like a looney)

Its taken me ages to find us and it doesnt look nice and you cant see the full titles of threads it cuts them off!

I DONT LIKE IT I DONT LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now to resume normal service.

How are we all today are we all vaguely well?

I have taken to wearing my nursing bras to bed lately as I find it more comfortable and yesterday I ended up wearing during the day as well as dh discovered when he came home as the underneath layer on these ones tends to slip out and can be noticable. I hadnt realised how hilarious he found them until we were both laid in bed last night and he just kept pointing at my boobs trying not to laugh too loudly so as not to wake ds saying "emergency boobs emergency boobs" apparently that is what nursing bras are for so that you can get your emergency boobs out! I might not mind so much but I used nursing bras last time and he denies all knowledge of ever having seen one before. Fair enough it was only for 7 weeks but you would think he would have noticed!

Ohh and after all that he turned round and said well that'll be something for you tell all your mumsnet lot about tomorrow wont it!

I think hes discovered my addiction!!!

AuldAlliance · 30/01/2009 08:40

Yuk, yuk, yuk, I hate this new format
Am going back to RL to do some translating, this is too scary for me!

BoffinMum · 30/01/2009 08:46

Leeza2 is the cuplrit who said I was up myself. Go fanjo bash her, girls.

I have flounced (3 times!) from the other thread and I am not posting on any more threads now, just this one, as I feel used. I have depersonalised my profile as well, in case they help themselves to that. There seem to be a lot of MN sycophants prepared to suck up to MN Towers and let them do what they like in the name of profit. I am not surprised feminism has stalled if apparently worthwhile female communities self-implode like this.

Feeling very grumpy today because DS3 keeps doing karate in my belly, plus he woke me up at 4.30am doing this and I couldn't get back to sleep, plus I feel very sick and dizzy. If by some miraculous quasi Biblical process of reabsorption this baby disappeared effortlessly overnight and I got my old self back, I would be delighted. I would have a glass of wine and a pate sandwich and have very energetic and acrobatic sex and go skiing. Not all at once, naturally.

Barbarella, by all means stick one in a jiffy bag. I am sure there will be moments where this will appeal greatly. Bf is OK after the first few weeks, if you can get to the six week mark you have usually sorted it out for the duration. It's a one day at a time thing. But I reckon buy or borrow the best hospital grade pump known to mankind if you are really committed to the process.

Swaliswan · 30/01/2009 08:46

Does that help? I don't like the new style boards either. They make me want to vomit. I wish that I was joking, but sadly I think that I may need to tell Tech that his new style of board is setting off my morning sickness because it's such an insult on my senses.

Peace has been restored in the Swaliswan household this morning. I got to lie in bed until half seven and then had croissant, fresh orange and cornflakes for breakfast (thankfully before I came onto MN). DH took DD to nursery nearly half an hour ago so I can have a morning nesting in peace. Bliss. And I might even get some jobs done judging by the state of MN. I could never sit here and look at MN all morning now, not even with my eyes screwed up to limit the insult.

Claireykitten · 30/01/2009 08:52

Thank you Swaliswan. I like croissants and orange juice is good as long as I dont have too much.

Also I never thought of that maybe it is the new format making me feel sick and not the fact that I havent had any proper breackfast yet!

I blame mumsnet!!

babypringle · 30/01/2009 08:55

Morning! not liking the new format either, making my eyes spin. Might actually have to do some work this morning instead!!!

BoffinMum · 30/01/2009 08:55

Auld, it wasn't that you killed the thread, I just didn't engage with the education discussion because it tends to get me cross. I have just reviewed a big research proposal for the ESRC about something similar, and it was yet another feeble, incestuous load of nonsense that requires a lot of public subsidy but will just maintain the class-riddled, hidebound status quo. It's hardly surprising education is in such a mess considering the educational research academic community set such a crappy example.

Rant over.

BoffinMum · 30/01/2009 08:56

BTW am I the only person who likes the new MN format??
It loads a lot quicker and I find the text clearer.

Swaliswan · 30/01/2009 09:03

Nutty forgot to say that a joint MN birthday party would be fab!

Claireykitten · 30/01/2009 09:05

I quite like it once in a thread it more the finding the threads you want and the lists ie if you click on active convos it doesnt look good its really squished and tiny and it doesnt change colour when youve read it. Im sure I will get used to it but still......

PuzzleRocks · 30/01/2009 09:09

Yes, I think acrobatic sex whilst skiing is beyond even the multi-gifted BoffinMum. If you are tempted may I suggest you stick to the nursery slopes. At night of course, so not to frighten the little ones.

PuzzleRocks · 30/01/2009 09:19

You all need to click on customize and select mumsnet new and then save changes and you will find active convos isn't squashed anymore.

I'm liking.

BoffinMum · 30/01/2009 09:23

Puzzle, you haven't seen how shit my skiing is. I don't think I could even manage that.

Did anyone see the photo in The Week of the man hanging upside down off a ski lift with a bare bottom? His claim was it was because his trousers got entangled in the mechanism ...

BoffinMum · 30/01/2009 09:24

Hope he didn't get frostbite!

Claireykitten · 30/01/2009 09:24

I have just discovereded that and yes I am quite liking the look now. It still cuts the thread titles tho!

PuzzleRocks · 30/01/2009 09:26

Hmm Grin
