Just re read thread - is everyone having sex but me?

Ah dog, you're not. Thank Lord. Don't you dare now, I need some solidarity here.

treedelivery · 15/01/2009 16:51

Nooo another one - hkz joins the frisky ranks.

Glad you had good appointment and all good about the homebirth too. Sympathise about forgetting stretch question, I have forgotton gaviscon request every visit from 30 weeks. Hardly same but same bit of malfunctioning brain.

hkz · 15/01/2009 17:03

Tree- don't worry...can't remember the last time there was any action on that front...so am really going to have to muster some enthusiasm from somewhere...but I want this baby out and I can't face curry and the heartburn!

rrrayray · 15/01/2009 17:45

HKZ Bacon Sarnie, havent had one of those in AGES. Great idea! wow, 4/5th engaged.... i didn't think they went beyond 3/5 engaged (what i am now) without being in labour... must be you any moment then!

Dog Oh my goodness, that fall must have been a scare! Hope your Ok now & Didn't land awkwardly. Hey, it could be what you needed to go into labour !!

Tree/Dog/HKZ Sorry to hear your not getting any bedroom action sucsessfully. have to say, don't remotely feel like it, am only doing it in the HOPE that it might help with the whole labour thing! Although not TELLING him i'm not in the mood, else i doubt he would be... telling him i'm raging horny of course. But once you get into the flow of things, things seem to be OK.

I am rather excited right now.... . But just went to toilet and had what i believe to be a show Massive bit of mucus... looked like i'd been blowing my nose with the bit of toilet roll for about 3 days with a bad cold... But was only a TINY bit of blood. Anyone else think this could be a show? Am far to excited to let myself think it isnt!

Right, back to dinner, Am cooking Chicken, Tomato and fennell Ragout. Shall see how it turns out!

tinkisfourtyweeks · 15/01/2009 18:12

hi

back from midwife too.
asked about a sweep going in monday for one if nothing has happened
r they very painful?!

head 3/5ths (dd1s head never engaged more than that) midwife reckons that i have lots of water and a tiddler - what weight would a tiddler be?

rray - sounds like a show 2 me

fourlittlefeet · 15/01/2009 18:14

gtdab hope you are feeling a bit better, that sounded quite alarming!

yep Ray, that sounds like a show.. you is on your way ... some time this month . Labour vibes to you!

I'm feeling decidedly odd. sick, crampy, can't really settle. hmm.

hkz, don't know if I mentioned it, but the acu lady said she'd do me a sweep if i still needed the next appt - she is a midwife too!

go flf i bet that u will have your baby soon

treedelivery · 15/01/2009 18:17

That is a definition of a show. Yipeee!!

Have had chicken breast in a coating with shredded salad leaves and an origional dressing from France. It had potatoes fried in oil on the side.

A chicken sandwich meal I believe!! Baby wanted one! Will eat nutrient rich meal later. Honest guv

tinkisfourtyweeks · 15/01/2009 18:21

tree - what is the definition of a tiddler?
what weight would the baby be?

treedelivery · 15/01/2009 18:27

Range in UK for white babies is 2.5kg to 4.5kg. 90% of bubbs are in this range I believe. So thats 5lb 6oz to 10lb or there abouts.

BlueSapphire77 · 15/01/2009 18:28

GTDAB Hope ur ok hun..any consolation i did exactly the same thing, put notes on stairs so i could grab em quickly not go skiing down the shagging stairs on them..DP shouted at me for leaving them on the stairs.. "Shout at me again and you'll be retrieving them from up your jacksy mate"

Thanks for the lovely welcome

News on my front, after sweep only had a mega bad back, but today had a real show so maybe..fingers x'd!
Yup, whoever asked, everyone is having sex but you

Well if you can call it sex, in my house atm its like, rape by randy hippo sized woman on small defenceless man

Well he got me into this

Yaay @ tree idea to have wifi on the wards.. but then, i'm soooo tempted to get MW's to tell DP me and baby can't leave 'just yet' for some reason so he gets to find out how hard my job is but then i guess him and DS would be living on crisps till i got back home lol.
Very crampy at the mo but even though ouch ouch ones they are about half an hour apart n not regular, so i think i'm stuck till sunday

fourlittlefeet · 15/01/2009 18:29

DD was 2700g and very small! Had problems trying to find clothes that didn't swamp her! Soon grew though as she's been 75 centile for weight and height since, the little bruiser!

missjackson · 15/01/2009 18:30

Rray that is exactly what my show looked like - good description!

Feeling really down after trying to cheer OH up about the state of our house - we only moved in a month ago, and despite xmas etc, have managed to get it mostly sorted out, but it does still feel a bit disorganised and temporary in places. Progress isn't helped by having to 'gently persuade' him into buying each item of new furniture/ curtains etc!

flf sounds like good signs!

Oh I am just so bored of waiting. I wish I had stayed at work now, and lied about my due date! Everyone is there having fun....

Sorry for self-indulgent whinging!

treedelivery · 15/01/2009 18:31

Meant to say GTDAB - sorry about the stair ski. Hope no aches and pains as a result.

treedelivery · 15/01/2009 19:05

Tightening again. Boring!!!!!!!!
very 5 to 15 mins so not regular but fairly ouch. Mostly my cervix that feels it, a real corkscrew pushing pain. Really sleepy and weepy weak too all of a sudden.

What a barrel of laughs it must be being my dh, dd and mum!

stripeywoollenhat · 15/01/2009 19:07

missjackson, i know what you mean about the boredom, i am actually nearly hysterical here. no sign of small one obliging with a nice distracting labour though....

rray, glad to hear about show. jealous of everybody's backaches, shows, period like cramps... pregnancy does actually make you crazy, clearly.

tree, do you know if raised blood pressure means labour is imminent? mine has gone up to 130/80, which is clearly not worrying but is higher than it has ever been, and i think i read somewhere, and i'm clutching at straws....

stripeywoollenhat · 15/01/2009 19:10

now of your corkscrew pushing pain, tree. hope it means something is happening.

fourlittlefeet · 15/01/2009 19:10

the nct woman last time described the show like that bit of glue you get in women's magazines to stick the face cream samples in with. Haven't felt the same about those magazines since

OP posts:
treedelivery · 15/01/2009 19:12

It can be but I think it tends to be because of a pain response, to the contractions or tightnings and adrenaline surge - rather than a 'symptom' all on it's own. iyswim?

stripeywoollenhat · 15/01/2009 19:17

i was so hoping that you were going to say that it's a dead cert that small one is about to arrive.... oh well, will have to find some other straw to clutch at - but thanks for the info

fourlittlefeet · 15/01/2009 19:17

Now tree... shall we have them tonight, or just another long relaxing sleep with a lie in. whaddaya think?

OP posts:
treedelivery · 15/01/2009 19:21

Can't so tonight sorry, Dior have just come round to fit a gown and I'm at a premiere at 8, just doing a George Cloony a fav as he had no date...

Stripey I predict you will be delivered by 2am and home for noon......only in my professional opinion you understand.
