thanks tree; its got £25 off at the mo and I thought if I get it in time for the birth, DD's presents bought by relatives could be food and then she can keep busy making me cups of tea and sandwiches whilst I breastfeed! Cunning plan, though may not work . The alternative was to get her a doll, but can't face her mimicking breastfeeding in public just yet!

Had another sniff of the clary sage today, but nada. Quite pleased actually as need some proper sleep before I have to do the deed. Still a bit miffed that bub is desperate to meet me!

Just check it out on urchin and gltc I think they have it too. Loads of discount codes around so you might get it cheaper or more importantly be able to justify some small thing of lovliness you have been after for ages as your getting a delivery anyway [am a sucker for collecting random party wear myself].

we got dd1 the elc wooden breakfast in bed set and it's fabbo [got it free with junior subsciption]. OOOh and GLTC had some wooden milk bottles and sandwiches in the sale too!

Am sad internet scouring spendthrift. I know.

treedelivery · 09/01/2009 22:24

Hey gtdahb. Can imagine how your feeling, we bought a house in March and I spent months totally obssessing over houses and loving them and loosing them and getting them and changing mind and so on. I'd say nothing about hb if I'm honest.

thanks tree, off to scout gltc and then off to bed.

flf- that kitchen is fab- I know my DD would play with it all day long, however her present from her brother will be a baby doll and changing set, which she will adore I know.

Sorry everyone is so fed-up- this part is the worst isn't it?
People hassling you- haven't you had that baby yet? Gah!

Lenni- great birth! Hope you're enjoying DS now

I actually managed a nap this afternoon was lovely.... and it gave me the energy to make pancakes for dinner- delish!

LenniEd Fab birth story, I am v jealous!!

I am due tomorrow, but I think mine is going to be late.
Tree, work is actually ok, thanks for asking. It takes my mind off the fact that I haven't had a baby yet, although it is taking me longer to get stuff done for some reason. I work Monday to Friday, so off tomorrow and Sunday, YEAH!! Was my 30th the other day, so am going shopping tomorrow to treat myself to a really nice handbag. I'm a little peed off actually, nobody has bothered at all and I have made an effort for everyone else for their 30th. Our babies will all be screwed in the same way, January birthdays get ignored!!
Must be hormonal, normally these things don't bother me. Mental note to make big deal of baby's birthday every year

fymandwhenisthisbabycoming · 10/01/2009 07:11

aagh - ds has started getting up at 6am again - just when I need my sleep.

dog - I just bought this - seems cheaper than hiring, plus a 28 day money back guarantee if unused, plus can sell on ebay for 70 odd quid if used!

I bought the 'i want it all' for £150 it arrived next day...

tinkhaslessthanaweek · 10/01/2009 08:54

morning

let hope that the full moon gives us babies
my dd has elc pastel kitchen it is really great i luv it and so does dd.
ours took 2 hrs 2 put together 2
she got it not this xmas the one before when 2.5 years old.
for the sounds we have elc plastic microwave, she cant quite reach wooden one @ the top. she has all the wooden accessories to go with it - wooden tea set, pots and pans and some food.
i think that wooden ones are much better. this one has lots of cupboard storage to keep bits in and lots of surface space for her kettle and toaster etc.

x-posts fym looks gd

hkz · 10/01/2009 09:47

awww..no new babies this morning.

Just had the worst nights sleep ever. My piles are complete agony. Got them after the births of DD1, but they have never been this bad. I can't sit or stand comfortably and it is impossible to find a position in bed that doesn't put pressure on them without squashing my tummy. And its the bloody weekend, so no chance of seeing GP til monday... am almost tempted to go to a and e and ask for some hardcore piles cream... anusol does not even come close. Might try midwife first

Dog- hope the house turns out well, good luck!

FLF- those retro kitchens are funky, there is one at playgroup and DD loves it.
I just got her a doll to get her into the
spirit of all things baby, but her maternal instincts are yet to kick in... she just seems to enjoy dragging it up the stairs by its feet so it bangs its head on every step...don't think I'll be leaving her alone witht he baby for a while

Shnster- Happy birthday! have fun shopping! My 30th is coming up and am prsuming it will be a very un-rock n roll affair with a newborn.

rrrayray · 10/01/2009 10:18

morning ladies.

Tree are you around? ....Need your midwifely adivice, or anyone elses actually. I went in for monitoring on tues as bubba wasnt moving, she then did a party for them, since that she has been quiet, but moving slightly from time to time. Well we're back to the no movement thing again she hasn't moved since early evening yesterday. They told me to call them again if it happened, but i'm wondering if i'm just being OTT??? Do you think i should call them? or give it a little bit longer?

Opinions appreciated!

hkz · 10/01/2009 10:23

rrrayray- Call them, it will put your mind at ease and its not at all OTT, that's what they're there for

rrrayray · 10/01/2009 10:26

i know they will just put me on a monitor, but your right, if i don't call i'll just spend the day worrying ~ and prodding her trying to make her move!!

Thankies!

tinkhaslessthanaweek · 10/01/2009 10:33

hkz - poor you ringing the midwife is a good idea or going to a&e it is better to get something to ease the pain
rray - ye definetly ring that is what they are there for good luck

rrrayray · 10/01/2009 11:21

Am off in for monintoring at 12.15. Got the feeling the midwife was only doing it to put my mind at rest, and that she had no concerns at all at the reduced movement, as she kept saying its only being 12 hours, we usually don't worry until after 24. But the last midwife i saw on Tuesday said if it happened again, that it was important to get straight back in, as its happened already once in the week.

Oh well, sod it if she thinks i'm a drama queen, just want to know bubba OK.

MissHairspray · 10/01/2009 12:03

Morning ladies
Hope everything OK rrayray am sure it is but you would just worry if you didn't go in.
I was pretty sure I was on to something last night but then went to sleep and hardly felt anything during the night. As soon as i've gotten up though i've started feeling achey and sick again but still nothing that feels like a proper contraction, so may be start of something but probably no baby coming just yet.
Have a good Sat everyone with lots of chocolate, some more babies and no more colds!

fourlittlefeet · 10/01/2009 12:21

Ray, mother knows best, so if you feel unsure, you are doing the right thing. The midwife is not carrying your baby .
