ooh i'd love that album snowy - have dropped lots of hints to dh so hopefully will get it next week.

sorry to hear about more arguments, but great that the appointment is today and things can maybe start moving in a different direction.

oddeyes - great about your scan - sorry our posts crossed earlier so didnt see your news.

and babycrimbolat - yes very impressed with the house cleaning - keep thinking i will get it done tomorrow - now i think as long as its all tidy next week, its fine - and I'm off from 5pm next Monday so Tuesday will be a cleaning day.

SnowySunshine · 15/12/2008 12:21

My mum was quite strange about it, actually. She said that she thinks that it's normal & so long as I'm not scared of him that it'll be okay. She was really not concerned at all. Makes me wonder if I didn't explain it properly, or if it's not that bad. When I phoned my dad to say that we were just setting off (after the huge row) on Friday, I started crying as soon as he asked if I was okay, so they know how upset I was... I don't know. I still feel much better having seen them, no matter how odd the advice.

I'm really wishing time away as well. I keep saying 'where's my baby?', which seems to confuse people a bit as they nervously point at my tummy. But I don't like being pregnant very much - I want to cuddle him! It makes me sad that DP can kiss my tummy & I can't. As soon as I get to 37 weeks I'm starting on every possible labour trigger that I can.

hollytree · 15/12/2008 12:23

ooh yes forgot to ask snowy - did you get a chance to chat to your mum?

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 12:25

kiss your hand and transfer the kiss to your tummy that what i do

glad you feel better after seeing your parents hunny

pineapple juice, curry and nookie all the way lol

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 12:29

oooohhhh new telly arrived dh's crimbo prezzie as ours is literally on the blink (keeps flickering after an hour)

how the heck do i hide the box that the nice man kindly heffed into the lounge from my MIL (she is sure to give me the 3rd degree)

BabyCRIMBOlat · 15/12/2008 12:30

Oh from the 1st of March I am going to jump on those little trampolines, eat spicy food and get rasberry tea down my neck so fast the little blighter won't know what has hit it!!!

Snowy I really don't like being pregnant - some people love it but it is just not for me! I dont like the shape changes, the symptoms etc - the only part I like are the kicks and movements!

DP might get to kiss your bump but at the end of the day you get every single kick / hiccup / movement, you have much more lovely contact with him although the baby loves DH- as soon as it hears his voice, it starts kicking and follows his hand across my tummy with his kicks (doesn't do it for me so definitely having a daddy's girl / boy!) ho hum!

hollytree · 15/12/2008 12:31

sorry i am rubbish just now - posts keep crossing, so I behind the times.

Does seem a bit odd but at least you've now mentioned it, and so if you need to chat again, it wont be totally out of the blue - maybe you held back a bit to protect dp subconsciously?

i always found rubbing my tummy made me feel closer to ds cause later on, he would respond and kick away - whereas when dh touched the bump, it took till later on before he responded.

BabyCRIMBOlat · 15/12/2008 12:32

Wrap it up as a gift and say it is from your parents as a joint present - don't know what it is - maybe baby things....

Not that it is any of her business!!!

hollytree · 15/12/2008 12:35

see there i go again - contradicting babycrimbolat with my bump rubbing advice.

sorry - think i will go and sit on my own in the corner for a bit till i can keep up.

i loved being pg last time, but this time its more uncomfortable and feel fat rather than curvy. but still love the kicks.

i did the raspberry tea etc etc last time and who knows if it worked - was 6 days over but could have been longer i suppose if i hadnt. Think its the usual story thought that it will come when its ready, and i'm going to assume this time that i will be late cause otherwise you go crazy waiting.

SnowySunshine · 15/12/2008 12:38

He stops kicking as soon as DP touches the bump, or talks to him. DP's trying to convince himself that it's because he's concentrating on listening to his daddy, not that he hates him

& yes, hollytree - I have opened the doors of conversation, which will make anything easier in future.

Nutty, just chuck a sheet over it & say it's your secret teddy bear fort & refuse to answer any other questions because it's secret

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 12:42

my parents aren't here anymore so i cant use them excuse unfortunately .......although maybe i could say my mum sent it down from heaven :-)

i know but she is a complete nosebag and if she brings dd back from school direct to here rather than dropping her back with dh am buggered cos she pushes past me into the house, on the other hand if she gets dd&dh and brings them both back at the same time then he wont let her in (fingers crossed) and it has huge telly pics all over the box (bloody marketing)

will text dh and ask if he can spesifically ask her to pick him up as well as dd today.......

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 12:45

ooooohhhhhh looooooving the secret teddy bear fort!!!! am buggered if she accidentally (on purpous) takes the sheet off though

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 12:48

bb - poor you having no dh around to witness wonderful wifely skills!!! make a video diary of said wifelyness and present it to him when he's around and say "look i have been so busy slaving away while you have been away i thinkg i deserve a rather large crimbo prezzie"

SnowySunshine · 15/12/2008 12:50

Nutty, your MIL sounds like such a cow. What does your DH think of her? Does he know how awful she is?

BabyCRIMBOlat · 15/12/2008 12:57

Oh holly - you are probably more right than me re bump and it is also impossible to keep up with the thread - can I tempt you out of the corner with a quality street toffee penny (unfortunately these are all I have left after the Christmas mouse ate them all!)

SNS - sorry if I put my big foot in it!! can you ask a neighbour to help you lug it somewhere more discreet?

BabyCRIMBOlat · 15/12/2008 12:59

SNS - DH is around, my point is that I have only been a good 'wife' once in six months and he is unlikely to see that again for another six as I am too lazy and feeling far to fat to lug the hoover up and down stairs - my bump seems to have exploded over the past few days!

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 13:06

yup he tries to keep her away from me/us as much as poss due to the fact that she purpously sets out to be hurtful, bless him

he had to march her out of the house on friday cos she said and i quote "are you sure the doc/ hospital didnt get your notes mixed up with dh's? (dh had 2 ops on his back approx 3 years ago) your initials are the same after all. and you cant possibly have done your back in you dont look in that bad or in much pain"

all this was said as i was crawling (dragging) myself accross the floor just to get to the toilet

she is beyond belief, unfortunately she is the only one we can ask to collect dd (tis a 5 minuite jorney for mil which i pay dearly for)

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 13:11

bb - so'k you wern't to know xx
ah i am exactly the same lol havent done anything remotely domestic for quite some time (dh keeps telling me off and ordering me back to the sofa though so i have an excuse lol)

holly - come out from that corner :-) i always x post ..... have a choc biccy

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 13:12

i always overpost too lol

BabyCRIMBOlat · 15/12/2008 13:20

She sounds awful - why are some MIL's like that - like they want to make you feel bad all the time (luckily mine is 1. lovely and 2. speaks in a different language most of the time (as well as living in a different country) so I am fine!!!

It's times like that you wish you could come back with a quippy comment like, are you sure your personality didn't get swapped with the devil or something much more appropriate! bless you, you can have 2 toffee pennies just for having to deal with that!!!

Also you have a reason not to be domesticated. I on the other hand do not. hmmm unless I can find one...

oooh my last Xmas present just came in the post (bought my sister a beautiful marc by marc jacobs necklace from US, ordered it on Friday and it just arrived - that is amazing!!!) so can wrap that and put it under the tree and that is me all done...

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 13:29

go with.......pregnancy doesnt lend well to domesticity.....until the nesting stage....then i will/can make up for the lack of it during previous months

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 13:31

goodness that was quick delivery from the us i usually have to wait 2 weeks, well done you for having crimbo done

starts to get worried that deliverys wont arrive on time

BabyCRIMBOlat · 15/12/2008 13:31

That could work...

We should really start thinking of a new thread title soon as we are only 70+ away and that could be very soon knowing us...

BabyCRIMBOlat · 15/12/2008 13:33

I know - I was thinking there would be a little IOU envelop on Xmas morning but now I look like a good little sister!! Sure they will come and then you can do the wrapping part (which is almost as exciting as the unwrapping!!)

I am so excited now - only 10 more sleeps (I wonder if I will be this excited in 15 weeks!!)

SantasNuttySTaff · 15/12/2008 13:36
