Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. I had a bit more of a cry last night and DH was very lovely and supportive. I think everyone I know who has worked with him is just in a bit of shock. Even more upsetting though (if it is true) is that he went to the hospital earlier that day with chest pain but was sent home. Surely that's a clear case of malpractice? I don't know the details though, if there was an ECG or other done there. It's just so very sad, especially for his lovely wife and children.
But enough of that - there are BABIES about to arrive!!! LadyT, Verso & daisy I can't wait to hear about your beautiful bubs! Best wishes for safe and successful procedures, and don't forget to let us know how everything is when you're feeling up to it
Hatty - did your DH end up photocopying his bum for you? I think you should put a pic up for us! lol
Veggie - GRRR at your GP. I would be back there in a flash demanding a prescription for whatever you need to stop your heartburn. I can only assume he's refusing to give it to you because it will cost his practice money. But that is absolutely no excuse for not giving you the meds you need, and it's actually even dangerous to have such bad heartburn for an extended period of time (risk of throat cancer for starters). And if you're throwing up in the night, then you definitely don't have a 'mild' case of it. Don't listen to any of that "it's only for a bit longer" rubbish, go back and tell them it's not good enough! Sorry for the rant, but I just can't believe how badly you've been treated
waitinggirl I also think the letter is a really lovely idea. I am sure you are right about your mum, just think about her and how wonderful she was when the other relatives are driving you round the bend (and just ignore them!)
kmp with the toe. Sounds like you need to be waited on hand and foot... and lots of icecream/chocolate/massage/whatever-else-you-fancy of course too. Hope it's feeling better soon
