zj according to this description of the ISOFIX base you can use seatbelts to fix it too isofix We swithered about the ISOFIX base in case we needed to transfer to granparent's car and they may not have the isofix thingys but the man in the shop put us right and said it can be fixed with the seatbelt too.

Welcome back kutilputil, hope you are feeling better now.

Beans LOL at dream ! Try eating something sweet too - that usually gets my bump moving.

Olipop hurray for mat leave - I only have 12 days after today - weyhey !

hello just dropped DS at nursery and supposed to be doing some homework for courses (why did i enrol in 2 courses now???) Rosemerta how is your course going? I am actually finding them both very interesting but should have really thought through doing them both at the sametime. Luckily they aren't that hard just have to get on with it.

WG appparently throwing up is good for givig birth as it kind of well, how do i put this, opens you up down there. Imagine when you vomit you bear down a bit don't you (i actually do a little wee) so is supposed to be a good thing. I vomited during DS's birth. I will say though try to still take occasional sips of and energy drink or apple juice whatever you can tolerate so you ca attempt to keep hydrated. and make sure in the weeks leading up to your EDD that you are well hydrated.

To anyone having indigestion, i am still having it bi time too homeopath has given me another remedy which is helping but no idea what it is she made it up for me, but the other thing i am finding good to help with it overnight is drinking a hot milk with slippery elm powder in it. you can get it from holland & barret and it is quite nice it is thick and a bit malty. and i have managed to amke it through several nights without waking with heartburn.

wow this thread moves fast.

Rosemerta that pet shop thing is such a good idea. When DS was younger & DH was travelling for work a lot (as is now) we used to go with him, and for something to do during the day cos i only had a limited amount of his toys and I didn't want to have to pay everyday for soft play etc i found the local ELC store and took him in there for a play.

rosmerta we do that all the time - I don't think my DS knows it's possible to take the rabbits out of pets world.

hello kutil sorry to hear about your hypermesis - I've been suffering with it too this time. Completely grim. Hope you're feeling a bit better now. This baby has had to survive on a diet of coco pops for most of the pregnancy (last time I took every supplement going and ate vegetables for Britain). Ho hum. Will definitely be avoiding goji berries though. Hope you're feeling better ladyt

All the north yorks talk making me feel homesick (am originally from Ripon)...although don't envy anyone journey on Whitby road whilst in labour.

hattyyellow · 22/10/2008 14:08

Darn it, rhubarb crumble all gone now! Next time I make it, I will demand the biggest portion!

kayzisexpecting · 22/10/2008 14:14

Ow! I just fell over in the shop. My bum really hurts now. In the new house at the minute using my mobile for mumsnet as dh has told me to sit down.

Veggiemummy · 22/10/2008 14:16

hatty do you think DH made up the rhubarb thing?

oh dear kayz are you ok?

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 22/10/2008 14:29

Yeah i think i'll be fine. Baby is moving normally so i'm not too worried.

hattyyellow · 22/10/2008 14:56

Glad you're okay and still mnetting Kay. Veggie do you think it was a cunning ploy to get extra crumble on DH's part?

I am so uncomfy sitting down at my desk, my ribs feel like they're being poked like mad by the baby's toes!

SummerLightning · 22/10/2008 15:23

Who know's hatty, how devious is DH and how much does he like rhubarb crumble ?

SummerLightning · 22/10/2008 15:24

Grrr, please excuse my pointless apostrophe above, I meant who knows? I HATE wrong bonus apostrophes!!!

rosmerta · 22/10/2008 15:40

summer are you a regular in the pedantics corner then? . Fwiw, I hate it when people get their, there & they're wrong!

lal07 glad I'm not the only one! I wonder when ds will realise they're actually for sale & will want to bring one home?!

kayz glad you're ok

beans any further movement?

Just got back from mw appt, everything seems to be ok. Have had to have a 2nd blood test for my iron levels though. I hate needles!

Beans33 · 22/10/2008 15:59

Hi rosmerta - thankfully yes have got movement. Of the baby! I just think maybe it's sleeping a bit more now.

Oh glad everything on your mw appointment looked ok. blood tests are horrible, but liveable with...

Beans33 · 22/10/2008 16:08

Oh and here's Our Graham with a quick reminder... for meet up on 19th November

I miss Blind Date. And Gladiators - wish it had been on digital as we don't have Sky One!

Beans33 · 22/10/2008 16:10

And one other thing...

HURRAY! Thanks all for your support - I really do appreciate it (as I've said!) but the nipper seems to be back to top form - I think maybe it sleeps during the mornings, because this afternoon, he/she is writhing around - so much so I actually swore outloud at my desk as my ribs got a massive boot and it really really hurt!!!

SummerLightning · 22/10/2008 16:13

rosmerta, no I'm not that bad!! Glad mw appt was ok!

beans lol at "of the baby"...snigger. Glad it's moving now!

hattyyellow · 22/10/2008 16:14

Beans glad you're feeling better and the baby is wriggling again.

I miss Blind Date too, don't understand why they axed it.

Summer I'm sure pregnancy brain excuses you from grammatical errors!

kayzisexpecting · 22/10/2008 16:15

I am fine, my bum no longer hurts so thats good too.

Glad Babybean is moving around now Beans Rosmerta and Summer I hate not using capital letters where you should. That's the reason I hate using my phone for MN as I've got a stupid phone that. It's really hard to get it to do capitals.

Beans33 · 22/10/2008 16:27

SL - for some reason your use of the word "snigger" has made me giggle too. It's such a brilliant word - just makes me think of someone doing a sort of snirt of laughter and even spitting their drink out or snorting - which I do a lot.

Off now - got cousin coming for dinner. He used to be a vegetarian, and I did check with him if he had any special requirements these days and he said no. I just hope not as I've made lasagne!!!! AAAGH! And meeting his girlfriend for hte first time tonight - very exciting!

Have a fun night everyone and can't wait to chat tomorrow. Feeling so much perkier today than I have for a while!

LadyThompson · 22/10/2008 16:32

Afternoon ladies...glad you are ok, Kay, and good that TinyBeans is moving again.

Not the usual epic post from me as I am in a bad mood and otherwise it will turn into a whingeathon. Feeling better after Goji berry debacle, but eyes still sore from the burst blood vessels (and they look blinkin' awful), and so that and my aching back made driving difficult this morn. I am starting to hate it. I am too tired, fat and grumpy to be learning anything new. Furthermore, I have nights out planned for tonight, tomorrow night and Friday night (all TOTALLY my own fault I know, and none of which I can really cancel now) and I have overcommitted myself YET again. Have final scan on Friday, at nearly 35 weeks, and DP doesn't think he can come now, and I am really disappointed. I know it's not the end of the world but I just wanted him to share it. Ho hum. Normal service will be resumed tomorrow! Off to carry on with my Christmas shopping as it will never all get done and wrapped before LadyBaby. Good vibes to all.

SummerLightning · 22/10/2008 16:34

beans - you're right, snigger is a great word. Am sniggering as I type now.

kayz Oh no, now I am going to be paranoid when I can't be bothered to use capitals. I don't mind that but I do hate text speak on forums eg "what time do u want 2 meet 2night?...grrr"

I am feeling good today as well, yesterday and monday I had a wave of exhaustion hit me at about 3:30, most annoying, seems to be better today! Last night I got upset as I wanted to do food shopping and tidy the house, but I was just too tired...was worried that I am crap and will never be able to have a second child as would be incapable of looking after the first one while being pregnant. Especially if I was working too, I don't know how you second timers do it!!

LadyThompson · 22/10/2008 16:36

I DID do a bit of a long, self-indulgent moan, didn't I, after saying I wouldn't. Sorry! I don't think I am very good at being pregnant. I can turn it on like no one's business when I see my friends but in reality I feel like a fat, useless, cross, exhausted lump. This is officially my worst trimester!

SummerLightning · 22/10/2008 16:37

oh dear LadyT (sorry crossed posts)

Sounds like you do need to slow down after this week of socializing. I can't do socializing too much any more either and I am only 32 weeks!

The driving will all be worth it when you pass, and you will...oh yes!

SummerLightning · 22/10/2008 16:38

Oh you reminded me, that's another thing I was upset about last night! I am fat! My arms are fat, my legs are fat, my face is fat. It's not fair!! Moan moan moan...
