Hi ladies, just popping in to say hello and wish those of you who are still waiting for your babies well. Congratulations to those who have had babies in the last week or so.

Sorry I've not been about. DH has been on paternity leave and has been dragging me out and about every day plus Amelia has kept me up for up to 5 hours each night so I'm totally exhausted. I've not had a chance to switch the PC on. Sorry

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/10/2008 20:13

Congrats knickers .

Good luck to the last few!

Good luck those still waiting!!

Honeymoonmummy · 31/10/2008 20:16

Right. I've just had a mushroom madras from my local takeaway and I'm about to get bouncing on the birth ball. This is war...

ronshar · 31/10/2008 20:26

Get bouncing lady

AND I've just had fresh pineapple. If this lot don't work...

Aubergenie · 01/11/2008 08:47

Good luck to those of you still here. I remember how horrible the waiting is but, like myjob said, how exciting thinking that soon you're going to meet your baby! Sleep while you can - what a shame you can't store it up for later.
xx

Honeymoonmummy · 01/11/2008 09:21

REALLY regretting that madras now...

Morning all! Just popping in to wish you all well (Happy November!).
Just emerging from the fog of the first 2 weeks with Jessica here.
Are you OK honeymoonmummy? flum I think you have similar DCs to mine? has your 4 yo DD started school yet? DS1 just has and DS2 is 2 & 1/2 so I suspect we're in the same boat...
I'm dreading trying to get DS1 to school on time on monday with 3 of them.. I'll have to leave at least 2 outside

Sallypuss · 01/11/2008 13:46

honeymoonmummy hope the post-madras signs are good

Another failed sweep for me this morning so induction on Tuesday it is for me...ho hum. Not at all what I'd envisaged but after balling my eyes out to DH about it this morning quite resigned to it now....

November baby it is then...

SmudgeyDoodle · 01/11/2008 15:42

Honeymoon - anything happening? I've been having short contractions for the last hour so I'm thinking this might be something [hopeful] Just trying to work out whether to get my mum to come already or not. Sallypuss sorry sweep didn't work again. Maybe having a date for induction will give your LO a kick start. Flum's not been on - you reckon anything has happened? I took a leaf out of her book and gave our bathroom a really good scrub - grouting with bleach and everything! Now left DS downstairs with DH whilst I try and work out whether this is it or not. Taken paracetamol but not sure it will really help. I'll let you know!

star6 · 01/11/2008 15:51

Fingers crossed for you smudgeydoodle I hope this is it!!!

Honeymoonmummy · 01/11/2008 16:23

I already had mild diaorrhea constantly for the past - oh - fortnight, but the madras has made it worse. What the hell was I thinking???

I've been to pregnancy yoga this morning followed by a look round the carpet shop and am feeling a bit achey and getting a few BH's so you never know... I'm off for a kip cos I'm suddenly wiped out!!

SmudgeyDoodle · 01/11/2008 16:45

ok my mum is on her way and I've just put the TENS on. Hope this is it too, thanks Star. Honeymoonmummy, at least you can be fairly sure that you'll have clean insides

pepperrabbit · 01/11/2008 17:34

ooh, smudgey hope this is it! sending lots of labour vibes!

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/11/2008 18:36

Good luck smudgey!

Thanks girlies. Contractions fairly regular at about 7 mins at moment. Just hoping that DH will get DS in bed soon and then I can just concentrate on me. He's in the bath at the moment and keeps calling for me. Mum is here but I don't want to be in the same room - I don't really do ill and think this is similar. There's nothing she can do and I know she'll want to help. Hope to be back with news of a LO over the next few days!

Jambers99 · 02/11/2008 12:02

Hello! Sorry to have not posted for ages, but every time I look at the thread there are hundreds of new messages that I need to read and I never quite catch up. Congrats to everyone who's had their babies and good luck to any ladies still waiting.

I also have baby news of my own, hurrah! Hannah Louise was born on Tuesday 28th October at 10:35am, weighing 7lb 3oz. Nice straightforward & quick labour, just gas & air for pain relief, and she is (of course) beautiful.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/11/2008 12:21

Congratulations Jambers .
