Congratulations jenwa and ekka .

Congrats Jenwa and Ekka. Jenwa don't over do it, make sure you get some rest. Good luck thinking of names Ekka - I think we will have a little baby no-name for a while, especially if it's a boy! honeymoonmummy maybe there is something in toffee crisps?? if this is it for you then I'm definitely going out to buy some tomorrow! Flum - sherbert dibdabs - you have to have nicked those from your children, right? I haven't had one in years. Might have to go and get one tomorrow.
Anyone else got a baby that still wriggles like mad?

Flum · 27/10/2008 21:46

Well done Jenwa and Ekka.

This last month I have been obsessed with sweets mainly: Refreshers, Lovehearts, Double Dips and Cola Bottles. DH thinks it is hilarious as never had any cravings with other pregnancies but am on about 4 packets of sweets a night (instead of dinner )

Honeymummy it could be labour I think it often starts slowly particularly if baby not in ideal position yet.....

My first dd started with loooooooong contractions 20 mins apart. Contractions were about 5 minutes long and doubled me up. Baby turned out to be breech though.

Honeymoonmummy · 27/10/2008 22:48

I've had more pains but I think this time its her head grinding in my pelvis rather than contractions.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 27/10/2008 22:51

congrats jenwa and ekka!

honeymummy I've had those kind of constant (more thna a few mins) period pains too, am trying not to analyse anything any more, too depressing when it comes to nothing!

wish me luck for my sweep tomorrow, if that doesn't work, am booked for reflexology thurs...ran out RLT tablets today so now have to go buy more for only a maximum of a week's usage, rubbish!

Honeymoonmummy · 27/10/2008 22:53

Good luck GWTMH!

Honeymoonmummy · 27/10/2008 22:53

I think I'm gonna go to bed. Night all!

Flum · 28/10/2008 00:34

The head in pelvis feelings are oddly pleasan though aren't they in an electric shock kind of way, I always get them in supermarket!

star6 · 28/10/2008 02:20

I remember having lots of pains where I would think to myself, is this a contraction? But when contractions actually started... there was no mistaking it. If it's your second, I cant speak to that, but if it'syour first, im pretty sure it's safe to say that it will feel like something new and you will know
people used to tell me "you will just know...! I didnt believe them. Now I do. You will just know

nuclear · 28/10/2008 07:26

star6 · 28/10/2008 07:57

Congrats nuclear! Wow that was fast!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/10/2008 08:07

Congratulations nuclear!

OP posts:
plusonemore · 28/10/2008 09:06

congrats everyone!
jenwa well done but take it easy please (and dont forget to drink plenty if you have a graze- otherwise your urine will get concentrated and it will sting more)
more babies please!

Flum · 28/10/2008 09:11

Well done Nuclear, would like something like that. Am bored now 40+3 done all the things on my TO DO lists that I am interested in, can't be bothered with the others could not sleeep until 5am last night then woke up every 20 mins - snoring I think.

Nothing feels imminent though could easily go two weeks over I think. Others were very late too. Miriam Stoppard said 80% of babies arrive after their due date due to the way it is calculated. Not sure if that is correct.

jenwa · 28/10/2008 09:33

congrats nuclear Well done on being so quick

star yes was upset she was so big but love her to bits. Think I was thinking of all hte tiny things I have that wont fit her etc . Funny how she is bigger than your little boy, I bet he is adorable.

Will try taking it easier today. Prob going to inlaws for bit, they will spoil us

plusonemore Yes, drinking lots of water as [ouch] it does sting! Also soooo thirsty BF!

Sallypuss · 28/10/2008 10:00

Congratulations nuclear (now that's what I call labour!), jenwa and ekka.

Please will someone send me some labour vibes as now 5 days overdue and feeling more than a little fed up today ...Am booked in for a sweep on Thursday but being the impatient thing that I am would love things to happen sooner...

Honeymoonmummy · 28/10/2008 10:19

Congrats Nuclear!

Umm... what does a hind leak feel like? Cos I think I may be having one? And should I phone in? I have strep B.

Congratulations nuclear how speedy is that!!
sallypuss sending > your way!
I can report that chocolate cake has resulted in a definite improvement in post birth infections...... they should prescribe it more often - then I wouldn't have to take these pesky abs

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 28/10/2008 13:20

well done nuclear - please can I have a labour like that?! waiting for midwife to arrive, now a week overdue...feels like it will never happen.

dealt with boredom this morning by taking some new bump pics - about to upload to profile

SmudgeyDoodle · 28/10/2008 13:31

Congrats Nuclear - that's very impressive (if a little scary that it was that fast because it's only your 2nd as well) My Mum is going to come up to look after DS but is an hour and a half away so I hope we're not that fast. Honeymoonmummy give the hospital a ring. Starting to feel like I'm going to be the last one to be picked for the team. You're all jumping ship and popping them out Sallypuss and GWMH I know what you mean about getting fed up of waiting. I had a sweep last week but didn't work. Next thing to look forward to is an appointment on Thursday to talk about induction. Hopefully the threat of inducation will get this LO moving like it seems to have done for so many.

sparklesandwine · 28/10/2008 14:33
