LOL, Kvg I was going to pass comment!

Not sure about the frazzle thing (poss being veggie) the smell puts me off...but beefy flavour crisps (even being veggie) I can easily scoff a bag or two of these...goes really nicely dipped in a pint or bitter!

LipstickMum · 07/03/2005 13:18

Oh no. Why would you dip crisps in beer??

katzguk · 07/03/2005 13:19

i love all kettle chips yummy!!

OP posts:
teabelly · 07/03/2005 13:21

...improves the taste of the beer, ha ha ha only joking I love beer! Don't know why just did and it tastes nice - but it has to be beef flavour??!!

LipstickMum · 07/03/2005 13:23

Hmmm I only ever dip ginger nuts into tea, that's not that unusual though.

katzguk · 07/03/2005 13:24

crisps in beer can't see the attraction myself!

choc digestives in tea though

I've always liked odd things - normal to me just others find them odd...dh can't get over my marmite and banana toast sarnies for brekkie although I must admit to dipping my ginger nuts into hot choc at the mo...but I suspect that's a pg thing!

LipstickMum · 07/03/2005 13:33

Ginger nuts were made for dipping

I prefer my marmite completely unadulterated.

Just finished 4 slices of toast, cheese spread and salami. Now I need a big plate of fruit to get rid of my germs

uwila · 07/03/2005 13:35

Welshie, not wanting to return to big buggy is exactly how the Maclaren Techno Classic came into the picture. It's cheaper than big buggies, and I might still want to push it 3 months after baby is born. No more big huge prams for me. The only draw back is that I can not clip a car seat into it. But, since I won't be running by the child minder on my way to/from work twice a day, the car seat is only an issue on weekends, and then I'll just live with taking baby out of car seat to put him into pram. This Techno pram is also small enough for tube travel.

katzguk · 07/03/2005 13:48

i like cheese, marmite/veggiemite and tomato ketchup sandwiches!

welshmum · 07/03/2005 13:48

Uwila can you remember the age they are when lying down flat is less important? Am hoping to use the sling as much as poss.
I'm quite keen on crisps but only at work, at home I'm going in for dairy based desserts - ate a whole carton of Waitrose clotted cream rice pudding last night for dinner. T'was fab - that and creme caramels - oh my goodness but they're nice. Fruit too - mountains of fruit salad. Quite healthy I guess (won't mention the chocolate - he he he)

katzguk · 07/03/2005 13:52

i think 3 months is the change over then front 6 months upright pushchairs are okay.

Frazzles are food of the devil - even without pregnancy burping they repeat on me. Yuck.

Have to confess, I'm not a great crisp fan, although my DH is - he feels the need to crunch every night (annoying when I'm watching telly!). DS pulled a chair over to the kitchen work surface, climbed up on to it and helped himself to a big bag of Sensations lamb and mint crisps from the cupboard this morning whilst I was in the shower (I thought he was watching Big Cook Little Cook ).

Have just scoffed a smoked salmon, lemon mayo and salad sandwich...heavenly. Still hungry though.

Katz I do the cheese and marmite or veggimite or ketchup thing too - lovely!

KVG - now I have odd tastes but the fries thing sounds a little odd even to me, he he he, although I also love banana and salt & vinegar crisp sandwiches so I'm a fine one to talk

katzguk · 07/03/2005 14:11

Hi!

Been at dp's parents for a couple of days so I've got a bit of face ache. Normally their "advice" just washes over me but they irritated the bejeezus out me this time telling me how I should immediately put baby into his own room/not use washable nappies/have my hair cut etc... while stuffing refined sugary cakes/orange squash down dp's (hyper) nephew's throat. Think I must be getting a bit touchy too, although I feel fab generally, touch wood... Hope you all had a loverley weekend!

TEA!! Exactly how did you lose your top you saucy minx?? Eurggh - you're weirder than me with your marmite and banana thing

Uwila it's so you to be posting on here saying you've just been yelled at for being on here! Re that other thread - I'll ask about the dp/dh thing when I'm next there for my 28th check. They seem to be really lovely there, fingers crossed. That thread made me really scared - those poor women

Katz - good for you making that young man give up his seat - I 've done that sort of thing before - I I just don't understand the ignorance of some people. Mmm pickled onion Monster Munch - I think that's a bit of a pregnancy thing, I went through such a phase of them a few weeks ago. Could do a couple of bags now actually..

KVG - efo NOT with you on the fries/milkshake thang, but with you on the cottage cheese and marmite toast. Might go make one now actually....

Trib - I know what you mean about not knowing what else we should be asking our midwives! I was thinking about hiring a doula too then since I saw Pink's post about how much they are, I've been thinking about training as one!! Actually it sounds like a super rewarding job, I seriously might look into it. I cannot believe you haven't yet bought even one pair of maternity trousers!! Are you really tall? However, don't see the need myself for maternity bras, although will be looking out for nursing ones nearer the time. Could you maybe buy some offcuts of carpet to lay on the floor? that might help stop your lovely neighbours' fag smoke a bit?

Pink - have you got anyone in mind as a birthing partner in mind at all? Pupuce left a message here for you by the way on Sunday

Katz - your pram sounds like a bargain!

Uki - glad you're feeling better about that unstable woman!

Welshie - Sparklebear and Indiana!! Brilliant! Not so sure bout Shrek though...Your spaceless weekend typing's so funny!

Hello Tessie! long time... If I weigh myself in the morning, I've put on about 17lbs, if I weigh myself after dinner on a night, it's more like about 20lbs!! I look like I have a beachball in my belly too. Have you been eating more than normal? I have

Hi Tea - sorry to hear about your heartburn

charleypops · 07/03/2005 14:17

Whoops, bit of disjointed message there! It's so tricky catching up after a couple of days off isn't it??

PinkArjuna · 07/03/2005 14:17

Oh I was going to catch up a bit more but I have to leave for college - though I am going to Born first this natural baby shop first. I want to see what cloth nappies they have. I am obsessed with them and shop for them on Ebay too - there is no hope...

Uki aren't you in Autralia? Surely a bit of flesh is normal over there. That's if you are in Oz - though I might have imagined it. You weren't exactly exposing it anyway were you. Or was she one of those women who believes in orginal sin? Well lets hope she suffers from a slow painful death I am glad the therapy was useful

I am considering Steiner school now and have sent information for the open days.... not that Bubba is born yet but if you are gonna be a scab and get assited fees you need to get in early and smell out the terratory - has anyone else thought of steiner school? A bit happy clappy I know but better that than fights in the yard...
