Mummygow I have started taking a multivitamin but to be honest they look like bloody horse pills. I've started on Sanatogen ProNatal mainly because it contains a lot of the vitamins that I am missing out on at the moment. Boo is very picky at what I get to eat, seems to think that it's funny not to like fruit and veg. I can't eat any red meat (sometimes manage a piece of steak as long as I don't see it before it's cooked) so I know I'm not getting any iron. They weren't too expensive - £4.45 for 30 from Tesco, but cheaper than I saw them at Boots.

I'm still going to ask the midwife what she thinks, see what she says. Next appointment with her is next Thursday. I've got 7 weeks from today for my next scan - can't wait that long!

Has anybody heard their babies heartbeat yet? Not sure if anybody listens for it now, was told when went for the scan that they don't as they can see it on the screen. But I want to hear it!!

Also waiting until I feel Boo move. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow, so am on alert!

As for clothes - been looking for a nice maternity skirt so I don't look like a mess at work (have to look smart) but can't seem to find a decent one. Must pull my finger out! I've found Asda is pretty good for T-shirts and things.

Have a good day all!

Oh, and are we setting up a new thread?

wow you girls have been busy

jovolett: yes, i do like the 2nd trimester with bump and everything! just towards the end it'll get quite uncomfortable! but we are not there yet

bonnie: so far i was able to resist the temptation!!! we've got loads from ds anyways but still (secretly) believe it's a girl this time - also i don't mind wearing 'her' blue clothes! - big things we'll need a double buggy, a cot and some furniture. but will try and get everything (but matress) 2nd hand this time! - BUT i am constantly looking at baby stuff

mishmash: can you let me know about calcium chewies? i hardly get any dairy into my systems

yep trice: that's what i am counting on this time - the perfect birth

naww moomin: i don't call that mental! it's just hormones (what a lovely excuse) and besides that guess your perspectives just change!
i can't be bothered anymore going out with stains on my clothes (created very nicely by ds!)

elf: at scans they don't listen to the heartbeat. but at every mw app you will get to hear it!!!! - had one yday and got to hear it - bubs just wouldn't lie still and kept kicking the device away grins

I must admit I've been very slack with the vitamins this time (particularly as my diet has been crap) - the last time I took one at about 7 weeks I threw it back up again and it was so horrible I've been too scared to take them since. Stupid I know. Mind you my diet is getting much better now (eating fruit!) so I'm not too worried, although I know I've missed the crucial period for taking them.

Just want to say bye.
I had my scan this morning, and I'm due on the 4th Nov, so I'll be off to that thread!
Hope all your pregnancies go brilliantly and you all have perfect beautiful babies!

Aw we'll miss you hammy!

We'll pass on any tips from the frontline....

bonniej · 19/04/2005 12:39

hamster, glad your scan went ok, sorry to lose you from this thread though! I've got my blood tests on Thursday and am really nervous. It's the 16 week one that predicts the risk of certain abnormalities that scares me the most. Does anyone know roughly how long they make you wait for results??

morningpaper · 19/04/2005 17:01

Today I bought myself a massive box of Black Magic chocolates.

I've eaten one layer already.

Had the most terrible headache in the night, and took two Nurofen, only pills I could find. Know I should only take Panadol, please someone tell me I haven't done something very stupid? thx.
