Right now that's enough frivolity - I have to go and do some actual work...and I can't concentrate if I think you're having fun on here!!!

Gosh - you go to take your boots to be repaired an talk to the doc about constipation then WHAM! a brand new thread with millions of messages already!

Aprilmeadow - thank you for posting. i'm so glad you both had a nice time. I still think of Sweetheart too and hope she's feeling better.

Tea! you are so mean eating your friend's mini eggs "waiting for her to come round from the anaesthetic" indeed! i bet you scoffed em on the way there! you cettainly don't deserve those massive Toblerones! I think you should send them to me.

Trip I HATE MBNA too. they charged me £80 to open a (0% interest for 9 months) credit card with them without making this clear, a result of which I missed one months payment and now get charged 16% I've got to sort it out. BORING.

KVG - I had a truly disgusting dream about Gareth Gates a couple of weeks ago . Poor boy

JonahB · 23/02/2005 15:18

Hi Guys, sorry I?ve been off for a couple of days ? I?ve been really busy with work etc.

Can I say (sorry to drag this up AGAIN) and this is to EVERYONE who reads this thread I am shocked by some of the personal attacks that have been occurring here and on other threads. I realise you have all let this lie as you?ve all been posting for the past 3 days, but whatever happened to mutual support and respect for people?s opinions? This has really upset me and is so unnecessary. I can?t believe I?ve been reading some of the nasty, personal, vitriolic comments coming from people directed at people they don?t know. Everyone builds up their own network of support and friendship and to attack anyone?s belief?s and thoughts, especially out of context is just unforgivable and shows a blatant lack of consideration.

Personally I?ve got SO much support from this entire site over the weeks as I?m sure everyone on each and every thread has, whatever their needs and requirements. We do encourage freedom of speech, and nothing (and I must stress this) NOTHING anyone on this thread has ever said to me has ever caused me any offence and causes me less respect for them, even if their views are different to mine.

I do hope that no-one on this thread is feeling too affected by these recent events. I am not being cliquey. I just happen to know you better than anyone else on MN. Obviously, others are more than welcome to join this thread and are welcomed, but please can everyone have a little respect for their virtual peers.

I?m not usually one for my soapbox, but this has really upset me.

Sorry. Rant over. (noise of me quietly shuffling off)

yeah charley, if you are going to have dirty dreams, at least make them worthwhile....

MrsWednesday · 23/02/2005 15:28

Very eloquently put JonahB. Well said.

(types the coward who was too scared to post her thoughts earlier)

Gareth Gates eh? Is he even legal?

teabelly · 23/02/2005 15:45

Nope it's no good I had to put work aside and take a peek...

I do so hope it's Gareth in his runner up to Pop Idol guise you dreamt about and not in his current 'phase' ...'is it legal' ha ha ha!

No no Charley rest assured I ate the mini eggs sitting at my friends bedside! ...and now I'm going to be really cruel and tell you that we've already scoffed half of one of the giant toblerone's...no mean feat as they've been in the fridge!!!!!

charleypops · 23/02/2005 15:51

I tell you - GG is a wolf in sheep's clothing! I blush everytime I see him now on tv (obviously not that much anymore.....)

Not sure if my dream WAS legal actually MrsW - he's not even 21 yet!

Right, I've just had one of my mammoth double chocolate chip muffins, which I had to buy yesterday thanks to you lot (already scoffed ALL the donuts I bought yesterday so I am off to repent in the shower cubicle. By tiling it

JonahB · 23/02/2005 15:54

Now that scottish lad, Darius, now THAT I could understand......

teabelly · 23/02/2005 15:57

What - you just sat and ate donuts, and didn't do the tiling - gosh some people are sooo lazy

...last time I did the tiling I managed to pull down most of the wall...plaster was crumbling and I didn't notice ...so I guess decorator is one vocation I can cross off my prospective new job list when my boss fires me for spending more time on MN than actually working

Oh my!! Jonah? You have a thing for Darius???

Just got back from docs, all fine. I too was sorting out constipation issues Charley. Have got a script for some lactulose, but the people in tht know have lost my form for the exemption certificate, so I shall have to wait, or cough up 6 quid.

We haven't really talked about men much Not a Jude Law fan either, but KVG I have been having rude dreams it's great!!!

If he wasn't so tall, i'd definitely go there. Even after seeing the rather unflattering size of his * on THAT photo.

I've been having rude dreams too, but unfortunately, always about people i dont remotely fancy. V. disappointing.

Right, I really must go and do some work now....

LipstickMum · 23/02/2005 16:06

Errr what photo is that then?

JonahB · 23/02/2005 16:10

Oh, the one where he's on stage and wearing a kilt and is squatting down on his haunches to chat to a small girl. However, he has chosen to dress, shall we say, in the "traditional" style of kilt wearing, so although the child is spared the horror as she is standing up, the camera angle doesn't.

JonahB · 23/02/2005 16:11

Am I the only sad muppet who used to be glued my copy of Heat? I'm so ashamed.

I really really must go now....

MrsWednesday · 23/02/2005 16:11

I saw one in Heat once of him crouching whilst wearing a kilt and no pants, but they had modestly put a star over his bits so I didn't get to see the size.
