Sounds like he has 'little man syndrome' the arse!! Definately complain if it continues.

Lol trying to boob squeeze - might have a go myself, the women next me at work is very liberal she wouldn't batter an eyelid

Veggiemummy · 06/08/2008 16:08

no wait until you get a sexist, anti pregnancy comment from him then complain and get compensation!!!

ZJ i was very flat chested pre DS pregnancy, i'm talking fried eggs. I had no growth until my milk came in 3 days after DS was born and the WOW they were massive, DH and took photos i went up to DD, i loved them they gave me stretch marks because the literally grew overnight, but who cares.

zoejeanne · 06/08/2008 16:21

Me and my OH joked that our announcement in the local paper would read "we are proud to announce that ZJ now has large boobs, with love from husband and families (PS baby's ok too)" I'll just keep on laughing at the rest of you boob squeezers!

beans nasty people should be made to sit on their own and not say anything to anyone, you poor thing, I hope you've cheered up now?

rosmerta · 06/08/2008 16:27

lol @ boob squeezing, think I'll leave mine alone!

Veggiemummy · 06/08/2008 16:30

and put his hands on his head.

Beans33 · 06/08/2008 16:33

I think I will. Thanks Lady T. Idiot.

kmp1 · 06/08/2008 16:34

Just tried the squeezing thing - nothing - but it bloody hurt!

Beans33 · 06/08/2008 16:41

haha! I will get him with a squirt. he'll be suitably repulsed!

Thanks guys, you've really made me laugh a lot!

Beans33 · 06/08/2008 16:51

PS I haven't tried squeezing as boobs might pop!

I'm having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions - is anyone else?

Beans33 · 06/08/2008 16:53

(And I have been for a few weeks now - just didn't realise what they were until about a week ago!)

LadyThompson · 06/08/2008 16:55

Dunno, don't think so. What do they feel like?

OP posts:
SummerLightning · 06/08/2008 16:57

He sounds like an idiot beans - I bet he has a sad and lonely life.

How come at every work place, there is always one complete and utter tosser?

And no, haven't had any Braxton Hicks, that is very exciting!! what do they feel like?

Beans33 · 06/08/2008 16:59

Your tummy goes hard and feels really tight.

Quite a weird feeling. And actually quite nice.

Beans33 · 06/08/2008 17:13

Off now - have a good evening all.

Veggiemummy · 06/08/2008 20:20

damn it i'm sure i ordered more chocolate than came with my order. oh well will just have to survive on a block of green & blacks and a Gú Tiramagu desert for 2.

Veggiemummy · 06/08/2008 20:20

oops dessert

abbymeg · 06/08/2008 20:35

Mibbes and Hatty I'm okay today. It was Sainsbury's tex mex dips that did it! And they were well in date. GP said it's not uncommon to get food poisoning at this time of year especially from mayonnaise-type products because of incorrect refrigeration. I did pick them off the top of a big pile, so chances are they weren't kept probably chilled. Fajitas are banned in my house now until the baby is here. As DD put it - food poisoning will be fine then!!!! The baby is walloping me, so I'm assuming he's okay and it was just me suffering.

Veggiemummy · 06/08/2008 20:39

so are you feeling better Abby are things settling down? Dodgy Tex Mex dips.

daisydora · 06/08/2008 20:46

Hello, all not posted for a while & haven't had a proper chance to catch up. Hope that everyone is well.

Had to see mw today, she thinks I have SPD (something dodgy with my pubic/pelvis area). Bloody kills when I walk about and was in tears at work the other day. Anyway she is refering my to a physio, so should hopefully hear something next week. The pain is awful at times

Was fine with first pg, but I'm so fed up with this one already. Can't wait for my baby to be here but I just seem to have so many more aches & pains this time!!!!

Veggiemummy · 06/08/2008 20:57

oh Daisy just quickly looked it up on the internet sounds really painful, hopefully the physio will help. you poor thing, will think nice painfree thoughts for you. Please make sure you come on here if it all gets too much and you want to talk about it.

Verso · 06/08/2008 21:00

You have my sympathy, daisydora. I had SPD with DD and it was no fun. Have you got a support belt? I have a (very sexy) three-strap one in reserve in case it comes on this time again. So far I've been very lucky - but I've been obsessive about how I move to try not to trigger it. Really feel for you .

You lot are hilarious with the boob squeezing! Don't overdo it though as I think it can stimulate contractions >stern teachery face at this point<

Not much to add except that I made my maternity leave request today!!!! It's my 'big' holiday from Friday (two weeks) so I was pleased to discover I still have another eight days to take - which means I can start my mat leave when I wanted to, but tag an extra week on at the beginning and have half term off with DH! (this is if they say yes... but I expect they will). Anyone else booked yet? I seem to remember some have, but this thread moves so fast I was probably hallucinating .

mibbes · 06/08/2008 21:33

Beans yes I had Braxton Hicks a few weeks ago for a few days - I think it was triggered by dehydration - have been drinking 3 litres of water s day since then and they have not returned.
abbymeg glad you are feeling better - have been avoiding mayonnaisey foods anyway but will be even more vigilant now.
hatty glad you have cheered up - did you find the yoga dvd ?
I'm just too tired to do mine so will have to accept that this week is a lazy week - had in-laws round for dinner and am now too stuffed. Tomorrow am babysitting for my friend so hopefully squeeze in a wee Erin or Tara session at the weekend.
LOL at you boob squeezers

missmama · 06/08/2008 21:52

Lol at you lot boob squeezing
I had a little go in the bath just nothing happened but boy are they rock hard!

Got a question for tomorrow.
When I do my wee sample for the midwife do I do it as soon as I get up or after I have had a cup of tea and some toast. I am worried about sugar showing up in it, cos I am sure they will push for a GTT if it does.

theyoungvisiter · 06/08/2008 21:57

LOL at you lot all squeezing at your desks!

Reban sorry to hear you are still waiting - but I've been told that head measurements are really easy to get wrong, especially if their head happens to be down in the pelvis.

I had a similar thing in my last pg, I was having growth scans and after being on the 50th centile all the way through suddenly at 36 weeks the head went down to the 3rd centile.

After 2 weeks of worrying I went back for a repeat scan with my consultant and hey presto - the head was back on the 50th centile . Consultant said casually "oh it's really hard to get it right when they are head down - he probably measured the wrong plane." GAAAAH!

theyoungvisiter · 06/08/2008 22:00

missmama I've always done mine at the surgery - and I make sure I drink loads of water beforehand in order to be able to go!

I'm not an expert but I think tea and toast is unlikely to cause sugar in your urine unless there is a real problem - maybe if you were necking dairy milk, but a couple of slices of wholemeal toast isn't going to make a huge difference, I would have thought.

Also I reckon there's not much point in trying to "fool" the tests, if you are peeing sugar I'd say it's better to know about it and get tested in case there really is a problem - if that makes sense?
