Due 1st April, according to those dodgy due date calculators.

Oh my goodness - haven't been online for a few days. Last time I checked this thread had only 18 pages.

Never going to catch up!

Have been feeling horribly sick all day long pretty much every day. But the good news is I had a scan last week and saw a very distinct heartbeat. Phew.

So far haven't told anyone I'm pg but as I have barely seen anyone that hasn't been too tricky.

Thanx for the support, I am most likely just being hormonal.

Fraggle- which part og cornwall is your dh from? We live in Redruth which is the most deprived area in cornwall. I wouldsn't live anywhere else coz this is our home and I love the promity of beaches andwoods etc. But it is a dying town i'm afraid.

Lulu- good news on your scan, sorry your feeling ill tho. Me too. I am so desperate for my scan but my midwife hasn't even contacted me for my booking in appointment yet. Am getting frustrated sitting by the phone.

Tristal- Do you sell your bits and pieces or is it hobbie only. I am all for funky jeans me.

I'm a SAHM and have been since my ds was born. I kept extended my maternity leave until I got 'lucky' and got a redundancy package! I used to work for a very large IT services company (3 letters!) and did various roles starting with computer programming after leaving Uni, then Marketing for awhile (which I hated) before finally finding my niche (and my dh!) in Project Management. I would say to all the first time mums-to-be: enjoy your maternity leave (even though you'll be big by then!) because it'll be your last chance of total freedom for many years to come!

Am feeling rather portly already. Was at a playgroup last week and a little boy prodded me in the tum and said "Have you got a.... fat tummy?".

I soooo thought he was going to ask if I had a baby in my tummy and was perversely relieved as didn't want to have to lie to him.

Wondering how wrong it would be to feed DD fruit cake for lunch as can't face preparing anything else....

Yup - very grumpy. Roll on the second trimester. Can't wait to get the first out of the way.

Have been enduring first trimester symptoms FOREVER. Conceived about 2 weeks after MC so this whole thing is really dragging.

Can't even enjoy a pleasant walk along the river with DD as the river smells foul to me.

Spoke to EPAS this morning who were very reassuring and said that brown discharge (euugh) is so common that they don't scan you for that alone. Have to keep an eye and only if it becomes red and heavy with cramps do I need to go in. So far nothing today...

Fraggle- Constantine is one of the really nice areas in cornwall. Growing up we lived in the Lizard which was also a very nice area. We grew up being able to wander wherever we wanted to as it was such a nice safe place. Unfortunatly I cant give my children the same luxury in Redruth. But that's just life.

the lizard holiday was all sunshine - i think it was the only part of the country to avoid the rain that week. dp even went swimming in the sea in cadgwith.

I've never been to Cornwall! I've heard many good things about it but I think it's a pretty long drive given that the motorway links stop in Devon? I'm from the North East originally (but have lived in the south for over 15yrs) and it's a similar story up there too. I hope to visit Cornwall one day!!

where abouts in the country are you all? we are due same time!

Evening all! Not been on for a few days and it's just taken ages to catch up. It's so nice to hear how everyone is doing though.

I am nearly 41 and live in Brighton and have DD1 who's 9 and DD2 who's 11 months. I am currently trying to set up a small business from home (which is very tricky with a DD who is crawling and into everything now!)

I sympathise with everyone whose house is a tip. I just don't have the energy to keep up with the cleaning. Unfortunately our house is on the market at the moment so every couple of weeks I have to do a frantic clean up and stick everything into cupboards. Just pray that no-one opens a cupboard when they look round as it would all fall on their heads!

I'm new on the site and new to London, have just started to settle down here as my parter had to move here recently for his job from Sydney.
I thought I would be due on the 24th of April, but had my first appointment and scan with Dr. Keith Duncan today and the scan says I'm due on the 3rd of April. It's my first, it wasn't planned, I'm excited, but not counting my chickens yet. I have no idea of what I'm in for as we never really planned to have children. I'm 32 and live for now in West London. Hi everyone, still alive, tho been feeling pretty rough as had sick kids for a week!

Anyone else gone off veggies? I just can't stomach anything - esp not carrots or peas. Afraid if I went by my tastes, I'd eat nothing but junk foods like hamburgers, chips and pizza! but no, not actually doing that! Last night though I was really wanting some cabbage, so I ate heaps of it - but was awful for my stomach, as I'm sure you can imagine! LOL

I vomitted my dinner up for the first time tonight, and nearly feel like vomitting again, tho not eaten anything else since! So far the only times I'd actually been sick were in the mornings when I was cleaning my teeth, before any food was in my tummy, but seems that privelege is gone - boo hoo! Do hope I'll not be being sick alll the time - it's quite a strain and there was a bit of blood too - anyone had that?

OK, must get some sleep! Hope everyone has a good night.

My appetite is so far relatively unchanged - but I do enjoy apples now, particularly at bedtime!

And RachelinScotland - yes I pretty much just want junk too. It's a real effort to try and eat healthily when all I want is bland stodge (chips / cake / biscuits). Can't believe you ate cabbage!!! I usually love it, but there are two whole cabbages lurking menacingly in the fridge right now and for the life of me I don't know what to do with them. Persuaded DH to cook some up for himself the other night but the pong was making me retch. And then he came to bed with a glint in his eye reeking of sausage AND cabbage.

Bleeeeeurgh! Poor bloke.
