ButterflyM and CilC I would like to hope that people would never be that rude, however I know now differently from my commute. As someone has already said we can only hope it comes back and bites them on the butt one day.

Mccheesers, I am occasionally taking piriton for hayfever and it does make me drowsy BUT it's probably one of the best anti-histamines out there and what they use in hospitals for reactions so might be better than benedryl.

LL/MiniPink et al with babies already, please keep updating us I love hearing about it.

Poly - good luck in hospital.

Think the keepsake box is a lovely idea!

Sorry for all those sleep deprived, apart from one night last week I think I am very lucky I need to get up 3 times to go loo but fall asleep quickly and have no LOs to get me out of bed at 7am!

Rumpel - I had a word with my mum and asked if she knew anyone scottish in Kuwait and she came back with the name June?

Clary Sage question - I thought it was dangerous to use this before you were in actual labour?

TMI ALERT - last night I went for a pee and and at the end I thought my waters had broken as you know you can feel when you stop peeing, well I kept on gushing even tho it didn't feel like it was coming out my pee tube! Anyway, no other signs AT ALL so just went back to bed. I have been unusually damp down there for the past couple of days - I think I just need to increase my pelvic floor exercises!

I have packed my hospital bag now, hurrah, including arnica much to my DH utter disgust. I have a little labour wash bag with my bach flower remedy, clary sage, arnica and lavender oil and ipod with relaxation scripts. Plus I have laminated my birth prompt card as if I do have a water birth I don't want it to be dropped. I am a sad, sad individual. (DH asked me if I could also get his Private Eye laminated so he had something to read if he got bored).

Hope everyone has a good day. One more baby for June anyone?

SK - a facebook group would be a fab idea! Who wants to set it up?

CilC and Butterfly - to hear about people being rubbish. I've found it amazing - I was expecting people to be at least mildly courteous but haven't had it much at all. Waitrose is pretty awful, especially the old people who have pushed me out of the way numerous times. An old couple spent ages staring and muttering at me in a café the other day as well. I was with DH, so I'm not sure what they were judging me about Could have been my age I guess, but I'm not that young.

My SIL was telling me yesterday that my Mum is convinced I'm going to go early - Mum hasn't told me that although she does have a tendency to 'predict' things so I'm feeling quite excited now.

The keepsake boxes sound lovely! I found the hospital bracelet from when I was born the other day - it's so tiny!

Minkus · 30/06/2008 10:26

Oooh Libra1975 that's just how my waters broke last time with ds! On the loo, I thought "hang on a minute, I'm not weeing any more but it's still coming out of me"

Maybe give your mw a call to see what she recommends? They normally say stick a pad in your knickers and if it's wet in a couple of hours you'll know that your waters have gone. How exciting!

Will def be keeping on with this thread until everyone's bitter end! And love the facebook idea, will be great to see pics of all our lovely babies.

Trying v hard to tidy the house after a lovely weekend, it's an utter tip every Monday morning and as the weather wasn't great last week I've got a mountain of washing to get through. Nesting? Nope as I really don't want to do it

Have a good day all xxx

There are a few 'due in July' groups on Facebook already but I don't think any of them are MN-related - anyone on one already or shall we set up our own?
I'm happy to do it!

sweetkitty · 30/06/2008 11:20

min - I'm not too up to speed on facebook groups and things maybe call it "July 2008 Mumsnet babies" because we won't always be due in July (although it seems that way right now)

clary sage - I don't think it works IME, I had double the dose in the bath, in a carrier oil massaged into my bump for half an hour at least (timed by watching a soap) massaged into my reflexology points on my feet for ages too, did this for a week (and I was overdue at this point) and still nothing and it smells awful.

EEC · 30/06/2008 11:23

Sk ? lol at all of us now trying to press our belly buttons to see what happens! No wee here but quite tender. Also looks sort of bruised all round it.

Butterfly ? can?t believe how rude some people are! Nice supermarket story here ? lady behind me in the queue insisted on lifting my basket onto conveyor belt for me and was most persistent about offering to carry bags to car ? allthis in sign language as she didn?t speak English! Not all people are horrid.

Sleep really bad here too and exhausted but not tired fits the bill exactly. Wierd.. Sleepycat ? described the endless night exactly right. They are soo boring aren?t they, yet I look forward to bed time all day!

Minkus - Pathetic I know, but have not dared to tell DH about piles! Not too bad here, but am worrying they will get worse after labour.

Disney ? I too am paranoid about every little thing at the moment. Obsessive. I think most people are at this stage aren?t they? Post natal gp definitely good idea. MN is a lifeline for me too as have recently moved and have no friends here at all. I know I should be a bit more proactive, but am too fed and tired to be at all sociable at the moment. Hoping it will change when LO comes. Do you get any help at all with your DCs ? is there any funding for such things or am I being naive?

Sooo uncomfy today. DH away again til tomorrow and when I tried to take DCs to school the driver?s seat was stuck all the way back miles away from peddles! Too uncomfy and immobile to get down and see if I could see what was wrong so had a quick panic, got very stressed (poor DCs) and eventually drove them to school late sitting with DDs booster seat behind my back! Went passed garage on way home and nice man removed a 50p which was stuck in mechanism so all fine now! Been to Tescos and can hardly stand now! I HATE being pregnant. Absolutely nothing is fun or enjoyable at the moment as there is not a single position I am comfy in..... Moan, moan, moan.....

Peanut73 · 30/06/2008 11:25

Libra1975 - that's how my waters broke too! It was the 'hind waters' so not so much a gush as a trickle... I was convinced I was leaking pee too until I got to the hospital and they told me I was 4cm dilated. Good luck! xx

JODIEhavingababy · 30/06/2008 11:29

Oh Libra1975, looks like things might be happening then!!! Any news since this morning?

peanut - nice to see/hear you again, How's Charlie doing?

EEC - What bellybutton, mine disappeared weeks ago!!!

Min - feel free to set it up! I'm rubbish with those kind of things!

Heffa - Everyone keeps telling me I;m going to go early (even MW!) but I'm trying not to get my hopes up (Although that's getting increasingly more and more difficult!)

beepbeep · 30/06/2008 11:33

morning all, just got back from hospital. DS born 0345 yesterday, 3hr labour finishing in water birth. all good, he weighed in at 10lb 01oz so bit of a shock, he's not long or anything just fat!! no tearing either, think that was due to waterbirth. hope everyone else is well, haven't had chance to read and catch up yet.

min912 · 30/06/2008 11:36

Wow fab news beepbeep! Very exciting! Congrats!

JODIEhavingababy · 30/06/2008 11:43

Congrats Beepbeep, was it you who thought your waters had broken in the bath?
Can't wait to see pictures and hear your story! Any names?????

So there was one last June Baby then!

Libra1975 · 30/06/2008 11:44

Wow congratulations Beepbeep - 10lb is indeed a good size!! Photos please

SK - I am not sure there is really any evidence that clary sage, pineapple, curries, etc really work the LOs will make an appearance when they are good and ready! However anything that only costs £4 and might make labour easier is worth doing in my book

Minkus - have stuck pad into DH boxers shorts (which I am wearing obv not him!) and will see what happens. Honestly apart from the pee incident and wetness down there I have NO other labour signs and as much as I would LOVE this LO to be early it's going to be late just so I am cross with it before it's even born!

min912 · 30/06/2008 11:47

Facebook group is up and running - July 2008 Mumsnet babies. Now you will know who I am!

EEC · 30/06/2008 11:50

Hooray for beebpbeep! Any name yet?

JODIEhavingababy · 30/06/2008 11:51

beepbeep - congratulations!! Yippeee! Can't wait to hear all about it.

Jodie - yes, I've been lurking - a bit frantic here. Charlie is doing really well and must be pushing on 8lbs now - he was weighed last Wednesday and was 7lb 5oz - a weight gain of 1lb 1oz in a week!

Heffagooday · 30/06/2008 12:04

Congratulations beepbeep!

sweetkitty · 30/06/2008 12:08

oh another baby congratulations beepbeep, sounds like a good labour and what a size wow! Can't wait for a name and some pics.

Off to find you all on facebook now

libra - I'm sure you are right they do come when they are good and ready and nothing we can do to hurry them along. MW said the only proven thing is sex oh why can't it be eat 5 chocolate bars or something?

JODIEhavingababy · 30/06/2008 12:12

Wow Peanut, he's growing fast!!!!!

SK, gosh NONE of us would have made it to July if Chocolate was the answer!

Heffagooday · 30/06/2008 12:12

I've joined the facebook group as well now!

Re induction things - I'm not sure whether any of them work but I'm quite happy to try! It makes me feel a little bit more in control and I figure it can't hurt. If it does work, then that'd be fab.

DH is panicking now as my brother asked him if he'd sorted his route to the hospital out. He confessed he's got so used to me being pregnant that he can't get used to the fact that LO might arrive sometime soon.

Heffagooday · 30/06/2008 12:24

Oh, chocolate would be nice. I ate a whole pineapple yesterday but then my mouth felt really weird. I didn't realise the sex thing was proven.

JODIEhavingababy · 30/06/2008 12:31

Another 'bring it on' thing I'm doing is a pressure poit my reflexologist told me about... It on your thumbs (Or big toe if you can reach) and it's massaging the smallest circle of your fingerprint. Apparantly it releases some chemical (the same one you get injected when they deliver the placenta I think - Hang on I;ll google it!)

sweetkitty · 30/06/2008 12:33

It's the natural prostaglandins heffa, apparently the gel stuff they use to induce you contains pig prostaglandins have to say it didn't work for me either.

I am resigned to the fact that come 24th July I will have a baby one way or the other, it actually helps to think of the 24th as the end date and not focus too much on the due date which is really just a guess. A baby coming anytime before the 24th is a bonus.

JODIEhavingababy · 30/06/2008 12:34

Oxytocin. Googles a wonderful thing!
