Well, I'm struggling to get to sleep, though I really need it, grrr, so I might as well make a post. I've been feeling guilty about not posting sooner anyway, you lot are just soooo talkative I can't keep up!
I can't answer everyone I'd like to, but of course I must say CONGRATULATIONS to Twinkle and Isaidno!
Sympathy to Disney and Bebe, and anyone else who's having problems of whatever kind at the moment. Grr at sweetkitty's dp, men huh, they could all be more considerate at times - and this really should be one of those times!
Been a very busy 3 days here - I thought by this stage (38 weeks) I really ought to be taking things more easily, but it hasn't been like that this week! On the plus side got some very useful stuff done, such as finally getting the moses basket mattress, so I think most of the important things are now done, phew.
Having previously shown no signs of engaging, and continuing to wriggle around a lot, I was quite surprised at my antenatal appt on Weds to find baby was now 3/5. And sure enough, after being told that, it was clear that bump had dropped signinficantly. Of course DS was engaged for ages before finally coming out, so it doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it is a move in the right direction, as it were! (Also this time I was given an estimate of size - around 8lb which would be good as smaller than DS, but then I think they said similar with DS and he was 9lb 5 so they might be wrong again of course.) I think I mentioned earlier that I was feeling a bit ambivalent about reaching the end of this pregnancy - well, after the last few days I have to say that pain and tiredness are great motivators for getting over any ambivalence! Although, having got to this point, I do now really hope baby hangs in there till Sunday at least, as we are out in London all day tomorrow (well, later today, you know what I mean) for a friend's wedding followed by church blessing and reception till goodness knows when. I have decided to put my hospital bags in the car just in case, and DH has looked up the names and locations of London hospitals in case we can't make it back home. I don't suppose anyone here has any particular recommendations of ones to make for or indeed to avoid if possible? Hopefully I am just being paranoid, but better safe than sorry, and I can't help being aware that some people whose due date was after mine have already made it to the 'graduates' list...
Anyway, I'd better try and get some sleep, or I'll be even more useless tomorrow (today, whatever!) I've had to change my mind about what to wear to this wedding; I was going to wear a pink skirt, but my loaner wheelchair has a red frame, and it would never do to clash!
