He must of been pretty frightened poor bloke because he suggested maybe leaving me alone until we got to 37 weeks.

I was agog I tell you!

sorkycake · 27/10/2008 17:17

On the plus side maybe all that toning of muscles will enable me to hiccup and poof! the baby will be there

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/10/2008 17:20

Well to be fair, all of the contractions last time ended in a nice 2 hour labour, with 4 minutes of pushing, I could handle that again!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/10/2008 17:22

Blardy hell, look at the time, spose I'd better get DS2 some dinner going! LOL

Just realised it's pitch black outside Winter is here, christmas is nearly here, baby is nearly here whoooo hooooooooooo

Might be back after dinner's sorted not sure. If not, no orgasms for you tonight, and see how it goes. G'night xxx

SesHasapinkline · 27/10/2008 17:25

Sorky - must have been quite worrying but if it helps can you send me some of your sex drive?? At the moment I feel like I'm never going to be in the mood ever again!!

I've spent this afternoon making soup and watching crap tv (Deal or No Deal). Soup is nearly ready and looks yummy. Predominantly butternut squash but with leftover onions, carrots, cabbage and broccoli too. Sounds and looks disgusting but tastes lovely!

lardybump · 27/10/2008 20:02

Just popping on to say hi.

DD has been ill so not getting much sleep at the moment so I am off now to have a late snack and early night. Will try to get on tomorrow.....

What is sex anyway sorky????

wilsonmummy · 28/10/2008 07:20

Morning all!

Woke up at silly o clock again this morning due to needing to wee bladder was fit for bursting! Then couln't get bk to sleep.

Boobs are starting to get tender and def started to swell!! owwww Oh the joys if pregnancy.

Back to work today after a week off, still undecided whether to tell them yet, but know won't be able to keep stum till 12 weeks as i start showing v early, with my first pregnancy one woman actually asked me if i was as she suspected because of the size of my boobs!! and i was only 8 weeks!

Hope everyone else is well, and sex would be a nice thing if i wasn't sleeping on the same room as dd's!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/10/2008 07:47

Morning

God have crappy day ahead of me, DS1's friends are coming at 3 o'clock, he has already asked me about 5 times how much longer it is till 3 o'clock - we've only been up and about for 15 minutes! He woke me up saying "how many minutes and seconds is it till 3 o'clock" reply "if you don't get out of my room you won't live to see 3 o'clock" him , me No such bloody luck!

Sorky how are you doing?

LB hope DD is better today? She's had a real run of bugs and illnesses hasn't she? Poor little thing. I don't know if you do it already, but when DS1 get's run down after being poorly (so picks everything else up) I get him on the good old Barrats soft and chewy A-Z's, not sure they do very much but makes me at least feel like I am doing something, and it can't do any harm (and he thinks they are special sweets!)

Diege · 28/10/2008 08:19

Morning . Not feeling too great at the moment, so apologies for my sporadic posts at the moment. Wanted to wish SES the best of luck for your scan today - I'm sure everything will be great .
Hope you're Ok SORKY!!!! Hi NAT! Hope 3 o'clock comes around soon for you
Hi WILSON . Big(ger) boobs here too, though a generous B cup now which suits me fine.
Am going to make an appointment for acupuncture today - not holding out much hope but am willing to try anything to take the edge off this sickness.

SesHasapinkline · 28/10/2008 08:43

Morning!

Thanks for all good wishes. Appointment is 11am. Am feeling scared and excited all at the same time. Last time round with first pregnancy I spent most of the morning before the scan in tears but had no idea anything was wrong. Not feeling tearful today. Do you think that could be a good sign and maybe my body knew what was happening even if my head didn't?
Also mixed emotions as first pregnancy would have been due this week.
Will post and update you all as soon as I can but may pop round to mum's after.

Diege - Sorry your feeling rotten. I think accupuncture is a really good thing to try. Take it easy and if you have to tell work to ease things for you, then do.

Wilson - I was up weeing at 1.30am so sympathize...

NJ - was talking to BF last night who did birthday party for her 3yr old dd on Saturday. She was worn out by the end of the day! Hope your ds finds 3pm comes round quickly and that they cause you minimal trouble!

LB - hope dd is feeling better today.

GYo - 20 weeks!!!! And one week to scan!!!! Are you leaning to finding out sex or not? I think I might say if they're at least 85% certain, tell us. Otherwise don't!

GYo · 28/10/2008 08:52

Morning Ses

Sounds like a lot to think of today with the scan and the due date. Hope they see you quickly and dont leave you waiting about. Weird how you were so emotional last time even though you didnt know something was wrong. Maybe it was the hormones dropping or something. Got everything crossed for you and looking fwd to hearing your update later.

Think we are leaning towards finding out but we wont tell anyone in RL about it. Of course I will tell you lot! But like you, I'd only want the sonographer to tell us if he/she is really quite sure. I.e. saw the relevant bits clearly - but not sure they'd do that.

GYo · 28/10/2008 08:53

Finding out the sex that is!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/10/2008 08:58

6 hours and 10 minutes to go.....

Shouldn't be too bad, have told him to entertain himself this morning, then once DS2 is in bed for his nap we'll bake some cakes, should take up a nice chunk of time.

Ses, of course, how could I forget (hadn't even thought what day it is yet!) but's it's Tuesday, scan day, very exciting, very nerve racking, but just think how happy you are going to be this afternoon! If it is any help at all, the week I'd have been due with the MC pregnancy wasn't anywhere near as tough as I thought it was going to be, in fact for sure the run up to it was worse than the actual day. Just had a slightly lost feeling, wasn't sure what to do with myself sort of thing. Odd, but managable.

GYo 20 weeks?!!! The time will fly by now, before you know it you'll be 25, then 30, then 35, then the time drags by!

Diege, sorry your feeling so bad Fingers crossed the accupuncture helps. And agree with Ses, if you need to tell work to ease your load a bit, then do it. You don't have to be brave, and have the superwoman front on, no one would expect you to.

Tink, hope the swimming and party goes well - sounds like good fun

Heebeejeebee · 28/10/2008 09:23

Morning all!

Diege - sorry you're not feeling so great. I started to load the dishwasher this morning, but started to heave. This is the nearest I've got to sickness so far.. Hopfully the acupuncture will help. Definitely tell work though - do you have an occupational health person? They will 'tell' work what you can and can't do, which sometimes helps to have it taken out of your hands iyswim.

Ses - best of luck. I think not being fearful is definitely a good sign. When I had my m/c I was exactly the same - I didn't want the scan at all. I'm scared for next week, but not negatively (if that makes sense?). My due date was at the end of last month and NJ described my feelings perfectly, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (ironically, though, it was pretty much when I ov'd to get pregnant this month)..

Wilson - i was up too in the early hours weeing, so my sympathies there!

NJ - hope the party goes well and GYO 20 weeks?!!! Where did the time go?

sorkycake · 28/10/2008 09:58

Washing out on line, new load in.
Dishes done, kids breakfasted.
Clothes sorted.
Kitchen cleaned, just the floor to do.
Bin out, recycling done.
Sorted and dealt with the post.
Straightened bathrooms.
Had a 15 minute convo with mother.
Checked emails and now having a cuppa and on here.

I NEED SEX OTHERWISE MY HOUSE WILL BE TOO CLEAN!!!

my kids are eyeing me suspiciously too......

Everything stopped NJ thankfully. My last labour was shockingly quick at a smidge over 2 hours from 1st pain to birth. I asked the m/w if this one was likely to get faster and she just smiled one of them 'knowing' smiles and said "the faster the better though eh?"
So I'm reckoning about an hour for each of us.
Hahaha good luck for this afternoon

Find out the sex Ses!

I'm waking early in the morning too but I'm not sure why tbh, prolly getting ready for when baby comes and then it's not such a shock to the system.

Well, been sat long enough, off to tidy up some more.

kayzisexpecting · 28/10/2008 10:16

Hello. Only a quick post from my phone. Unpacking is going well. Pregnancy not so good. I nearly passed out at work on sunday so i've been signed off now. My phil and teds come yesterday and i love it. I used it this morning to take ds for a walk. I hope everyone is ok.

Diege · 28/10/2008 10:51

Hi girls. Wonder if I could run a few things past you? In the last few hours nausea has progressed to severe vomiting, and I've had to cancel the talk I'm giving tomorrow as I know the signs from previous HG and couldn't risk the 4 hour commute .
I don't have the sort of job that can be modified unfortuantely (university lecturer) plus the travelling would be impossible I fear. I've run past the possibility with a work colleague (not boss) who knows the situation of delivering my modules on-line for the next 6 weeks or so, rather than being signed off as such. Does that sound sensible? I am such a perfectionist at work and am always eager to please etc and be seen to be doing my best (sad I know). I really didn't want to tell boss just yet, but really have no choice. And what if the scan next weeks shows bad news??
Just wondering what people think

sorkycake · 28/10/2008 10:56

If you cannot go to work then you cannot go. Please don't make yourself miserable about it. Work will find a way to cope, if that means modules online then go for that but your own health and that of your child's is of paramount importance.
Take the time off to rest, which makes it a bit easier to cope with ime.
The scan will be fine Diege, I'm sure of that!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/10/2008 11:09

Diege, completely agree with everything Sorky has said. Can't even add to it, but wanted to show you that what she has said is right and proper and is the right thing to do. Trying to do that commute while being sick is enough of a reason on it's own not to push yourself, and I think you'd be hard pushed to find someone who disagreed.

Now is not the time for misplaced pride, take the break that you deserve.

I am now going to go and fling my bosy hat into the river (might even chuck DS1 in after it if he carries on!)

GYo · 28/10/2008 11:27

Agree with Nat and Sorky- this is truely a time to put yourself before work.
If it was me, I'd tell work- I assume your boss knows your history from the summer so if you explain how how difficult this is I am sure they will be sympathetic.

Please dont add to strain by doing a 4hr commute.

Bossy hat also taken off now

Diege · 28/10/2008 12:01

Thanks everyone . Think I just needed to hear it said by other people to get it clear in my head. I think I'll have to tell boss over the phone by the end of the week, which will be nervewracking, but necessary. He doesn't know about mc etc, but may mention it so that if people ask he doesn't tell them why I'm off if that makes sense. Wouldn't want to have to 'untell' a whole department.
Have made the appointment for acupuncture session on Sat - who knows I might have a miraculous recovery .
Thanks again - it really helps to get it all out - plus the bossy hats helped too!
