i bought halloween biscuits for our halloween party with dds friends on tuesday and dd a halloween outfit is a bodice and pretty glittery skirt with paw prints on and has a headband with cat ears.
couldnt resist buying some wispas god they are dangerous!!
really hoping to get a leapfrog learn and groove activity station bought one for dd dh put in garage in no wrapping went mouldy so ended up @ tip really cross as it was gr8
dhs sister and nephew are back over @ 10am is raining here not sure what we are doing yet

wilsonmummy · 26/10/2008 08:16

Morning Tink!!

Clocks are a pain in the rump, i also been up since 6 with dd1 waking me up!!
Hopefully will appriciate it a bit more tomorrow morning

I've got one of the learn and groove actvity stations and i very nearly sold mine which i'm glad that i didn't now!!

Feelin a bit out of sorts this mornig queasy tummy! And with pregnancy i have this awful problem with burping, doesn't matter what i eat or drink it always repeats on me!! Really not attractive!!

Diege · 26/10/2008 10:57

Morning! DDs not too bad with clocks thankfully - slept to the 'old' 7.45 which is a miracle, and had a lie-in too until 10ish so not so bad.
Dh has taken dds to see MIL, so I have the whole day to do some writing. Feel like just heading back to bed but as it's halfterm tomorrow need to cram in the work while I can.
NCT sale sounds great TINKS, as do your weekend plans.
Morning WILSON - hope your sickness stays away as long as is possible! Belch-city here too
Enjoyed big band night too SES. Was surprised Daniel stayed in, but would have to agree with judges on his last performance being the better one of the two.
Right, best get to work!

Cosmogirl · 26/10/2008 13:04

Diege - I had the excess saliva thing - God it was grim. Still have a touch of it now but no where near as extreme as it was. I would lie in bed and DH would ask me a Q and I wouldn't reply because my mouth was full of spit and I couldn't be bothered to get up and go to the bathroom to get rid of it! Oh the joys of pregnancy....They just keep coming!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Have been up north in Preston - just got back and am shattered zzzz

Diege · 26/10/2008 13:28

Hi COSMO . Wow, I have found my spit-buddy . I've had it in all 3 pregnancies (not with mc pregnancy ) and have read it's linked to bad sickness. I can totally sympathise, though hopefully yours should be gone now (mine went at around 15-20 weeks if I remember).
Just be nosey, but wondered how you coped with work/travel etc when sick? I have a heavy few weeks coming up, and while part of me (30%) just wants to give up and get signed off again like last time)I'm wondering if work is possible?

Cosmogirl · 26/10/2008 16:25

Hi spit buddy , well I was officially signed off for two weeks by the doctor but then ended up managing to work from home for another 3 weeks or so. Work were very good about it but if they had been funny I would have had to get more sick notes because I was so out of it I couldn't have sat at a desk for 8 hours a day.

Had my first full week back in the office last week and I'm now 17 weeks, so pretty bad really. Hope you don't get it as bad this time. I am hoping it will be completely gone by 20 weeks, but I guess there is no way of predicting that.

You've gone through it enough times not to need my advice, but all I would say is try to listen to your body - mine was completely ruined partic during weeks 9-13 and I just had to put normal life on hold.

Good luck x

tinkisinthe3rdtrimester · 26/10/2008 16:31

i am knackered will sleep well tonite

GYo · 26/10/2008 17:09

Hello Everyone

Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Been making a list this afternoon. Even worked out what furniture will fit in small room we will use as nursery.

Just want to go and buy it now.

GruffaloSoldier · 26/10/2008 18:19

Hello all!

Thats great Gyo! How exciting! I have spent the day clearing our spare room as it has sooo much stuff in it! Still got a while to go and it currently has double bed, large table, 3 chests of drawers, two enormous bookshelves, a tandem, a bike, a huge 36 inch wheel unicycle and a smaller unicycle However we have started clearing out drawers and papers (its a study too) and have even started to see the floor!

We have been planning what we are going to do with everything and equally what furniture we will be getting in its place! Its been on our to do list for a while and just getting started has taken a huge weight of my shoulders.

Plus we have bought a COT! Not the one I was talking about but got a mamas and papas one of ebay for £25 with a wooden cot top changer too! Its such a bargain!

wilsonmummy · 27/10/2008 07:39

Morning all,

Been up since silly o clock this morning, will be shattered tonight!!

Gruff...sounds like you've been really busy, can't wait to start on my nursery, a while to wait though with the house move not going to well!
Great deal on the cot, i still got my mothercare one from previous dd's just gonna buy a new mattress!

Cosmo...sorry for excessive saliva thing, doesn't sound to great to have! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that i have similar pregnancy to dd's as i didn't have any major symptoms at all, a little back ache towards the end and constant belching was about it!

Tink... Hope you got a good night sleep!

Diege · 27/10/2008 08:28

Morning . Hi Wilson! Sounds like you have lovely easy pregnancies , though I suppose it depends on what you're used to. I'm trying to get some work done this morning so I can take dds to HSM 3 - what joy! (though a bit of eye candy there too...)
Hope everyone is OK. Catch up later x

tinkisinthe3rdtrimester · 27/10/2008 08:56

morning smile

wilsonm - hope that you are feeling better this morning sorry that house move isnt going well

diege - bet you got lots of work done yest hope it went ok
excess saliva was one of my 1st symptoms with this pregnancy dont think i got it when pregnant with dd

hi cosmo waves

gruff - what a bargain with cot i am so chuffed with all of my nct sale bargains.

we had a great day yesterday had a lovely lunch in john russell i had a chicken cheese burger and chips and a chocolate fudge cake for pud

have put all soft toys into toy container for baby now they are finally dry after spending a week in the airing cupboard i am going to was all newborn clothes this afternoon and bedding for cot to get organised my nesting is constant

SesHasapinkline · 27/10/2008 09:05

Morning all!

Lots of smiles for my week off and still being in PJs!!

Diege - Hope the work's going ok and you're not feeling too nauseous today. I bet your dds are looking forward to HSM 3. I've not seen any of them but I know my nieces in Ireland are mad about it!

Wilson - this waking early thing is definitely a sign of early pregnancy. I've been used to going to sleep within 10 minutes of my head hitting the pillow and not waking at all til morning. In this pregnancy I now seem to get disturbed v easily and waking up needing the toilet and waking up feeling wide awake at about 4.30am most mornings!

Gruff - sounds like you had a good clearing out day. I guess an advantage of moving house is that we've just not done much or put anything in the bedroom we will use for the baby.

Cosmo - glad you're feeling better - hope it continues.

tink - NCT sale sounds good

Morning to anyone else lurking too
26 hrs til my scan....

Heebeejeebee · 27/10/2008 09:43

Morning all!

Not much to report at this end, but I agree with you Ses/Wilson re the waking early thing! I feel like I've been up for hours today, plus went to the loo at 1am!

Tink - well done on NCT sale - I've heard those places can be mayhem!

Diege/Cosmo - if you both have sickness, the excessive spit thing is definitely linked. TMI alert - don't read if you're eating! Before you're sick your body produces excess saliva to protect your teeth from the stomach acid that you bring up. Charming thought for this time in the morning!

Ses - hope the time flies by to the scan..

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 27/10/2008 10:26

morning all!!

I had a busy weekend... friday spent the day painting my sisters flat with her, saturday went to my mums house with the kids to see my other sister and spent the day there before coming home and going out for an indian meal with DH and some of our friends, was a very good night.

Yesterday picked up the kids (sister had them overnight at mums) then we all went to the pictures for the kids showing which was wall-e, then helped youngest sister move the rest of her stuff into her new flat, did our weeks shopping at asda, then came home.

Feeling a bit bored already today as gone from being really busy to doing nothing today. had my abel & cole order delivered, pumpkin was out of stock but rest came and was brill!!

Oh got a new hoover yesterday too, a vax, had a dyson... it was loosing suction after having it nearly 6 years, so decided to buy a new one, it only cost £85.09 from comet as they are doing them VAT free at the moment. Got it home and hoovered straight away, can already see the difference in the carpets, the suction is amazing- i'm really happy!! My sister is going to have the dyson for her new flat till she can afford to buy herself a new one.

sickness has been pretty good the last week or so (touch wood) and i haven't taken a single cyclazine tablet all week.... I'm still being sick once or twice in a morning but after that i'm fine and can normally last all day without being sick again!!

Hope the rest of you are all well... i'm 15+3 today and haven't actually felt any proper movements yet... felt what i think has been fluttering a couple of times in the last 3 weeks or so but no movements as such. I was feeling movements at 13 wks with DD... am i not supposed to be feeling them now? also my bump hasn't grown at all since i got out of hospital over 2 weeks ago... if anything its shrunk, is that just weight loss?? not had any bleeding or aches or pains... am i just worrying for nothing?

sorkycake · 27/10/2008 11:26

Quick update....

booked my pool, got a complete bargain and saved £100!!

Back much improved after weekend of total rest so I'm sorting everyone's clothes from Summer to Winter and washing the baby stuff today

Libido through the roof , Dh is a veerrrrrrry happy chicken.

Have moved Ds2 to a junior bed and he stayed there last night, woohoo. This frees up the cot in the same room. Have decided to keep the babies together, much less hassle.

Also decided over the weekend that we will def move within the next 2 years so we're making lists of jobs to do and searching for area's & 5 bed houses, eek!

Catch up later. Good luck for scans and hugs to those still feeling icky

SesHasapinkline · 27/10/2008 13:14

Hello again!!

Glaskham - sounds like you ahd a very busy wkend! Glad the sickness is better. I'm not expecting to feel any movements until 20 weeksish but I know this is my first. I thought I'd read somewhere that after your first you usually start to feel movements around 17 weeks so I'm sure everythI'm sure you'll have lost weight with the sickness and - let's face it - you do have pretty decent size bump already!!
It's awful isn't it as we either feel crap or we don't and we worry!!

sorky - sounds like a bargain with the pool! I'm waiting for my libido to return. I think DH is feeling v neglected...

sorkycake · 27/10/2008 13:21

Ooh Glaskham your bump is rather a lot bigger than mine.

I'm getting a bit worried actually. I'm 25 weeks and most people don't guess that I'm pg at all!

tinkisinthe3rdtrimester · 27/10/2008 15:33

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/10/2008 15:51

Hello

First day of halfterm...... roll on next Tuesday!! Spent the morning in town, I've started buying 3-6 month clothes but I have ran out of things to buy now so thought I might as well start doing some practical buying instead of buying crap for the sake of it!

DS1 has gone to a friends house so feel like I have an afternoon off, but, and it's a big but, we have two of his mates for the afternoon and tea tomorrow. Heeeellllllpppppppppppppp!!

Glask, I felt DS1 at 12 weeks, and DS2 at 9 weeks (I know it is "impossible" and so no one believes me, but I did!) but didn't feel this one till 19 weeks, I had no fluttering build up, just a bloody big kick one day! And when I was worrying about not having felt him, peoples stories of how they'd felt them didn't really put my mind at rest but thought I'd share anyway!

Sorky, I am no where near as big this time as I was with DS2, but I was carrying huge amounts of water with DS2, this one I can tell there isn't as much water just because the movements are much more defined. I am 30+ weeks and have only just started to get a rounder bump, rather than a "is she pregnant or just fat?" type bump!

Sorry for everyone feeling sick and lots of saliva, I also have the increased saliva, not bucket loads by any means, but enough to notice I have more of it, nausea is nearly gone now as well so mine isn't linked to sickness.

Am trying to think if there is anything I have forgotten to catch up on....

Oh, I had my hospital appointment for the Anti-D, she said they only started offering the Anti-D in March this year, which is why I didn't have it with DS2, and she side swiped the possibility of it causing an MC by bringing up the results of my PET bloods they did when I couldn't wee, far from them being 'normal' (which I was told the next day that they were) firstly I am bordering on being severe anemic (though feel 1000 times better than I did when I couldn't wee, she agrees with me that I had an infection that I fought off myself, the not being able to wee being the turning point) and she also said I wasn't taking in enough fluid, which is bollox because I couldn't drink anymore if I tried, she says it isn't going through to my kidneys, which is why I am swelling up.... she did some more blood tests (not sure exactly what for but she mentioned something about my liver) and I have to ring for the results later this week.

Have I gone on enough? Probably, just!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/10/2008 15:53

Sorry, I know I missed everyones bargains and probably a load of other things I will try and do better (though with half his school here tomorrow I may not!!)

sorkycake · 27/10/2008 16:49

Hmm, NJ a word in your lughole if you please.
25 weeks. Had GOF ++ last night and set off HUGE contraction followed by BH.
Today from 4ish lots of pain deep left side, like dragging feeling. Think it could be related? not had it before, didn't recognise the sensation, warm bath hasn't subsided it.
Wonder if it's ligament pain?
Might be about to get a bump any day if it is.
What do you think?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/10/2008 16:59

Ermmmmm, t'is a difficult one, if it was anything starting you'd have known about it by now, maybe you got a bit, ahem, over excited, ahem...? I'd try and give it a couple of days with no GOF's (there are other things you can do, though maybe even you having an orgasm isn't a good idea? It sets my contractions off big style) It could be ligament pain, is it more in your back than your front? Coul dbe kidneys, are you drinking plenty of water? might be worth getting some cranberry juice?

sorkycake · 27/10/2008 17:03

Everything occurred, erm, externally and it set off huge contraction (as in dilating for labour, had to breathe through it)
Dh was freaked I can tell you!

It's kind of ovary area, though I doubt much is happening in there.
Possibly ligament pain I agree. I'll see if it calms down by tomorrow and if not I'll ring the m/w.
I agree if it was pre-term labour I'd know about it.

I remember GOF'ing setting you off which is why I asked. God my sex drive is through the roof, I'll never make it through the rest of the night never mind rest for a couple of days!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/10/2008 17:13

Yep, sounds like the same type of contractions I get, if it is any consolation, it actually doesn't do anything in the way of dilation or anything like that. It just hurts. At 25 weeks that sounds like a blessing, by 40+ weeks it is a big cold hard punch in the face!

Obviously through all of my years of midwifery, , if you are worried, or if anything else happens that you're not happy about, get it checked, but TBH, the fact you'd just orgasmed I am 99.999999% sure would have caused it. An orgasm works the same group of muscles as a contraction, so if you give it a kick start, it's gonna roll with it.

T'is why DH is on hand jobs only till after the birth, and why I am feeling like a 15 year old lad trying to find someone to shag LOL
