morning all!! another 5am toilet trip for me and I managed to stomp about the house like a bear with a sore head this morning getting kids ready for nursery and dh ready for work - was not a pleasant bunny to anyone today
am now sitting trying to get on with my own college work (I start my work experience with cancer research on Thurs) and waiting on the carpet man to come and measure up the room I'm needing re done
was a stunning day here yesterday, last night and this morning it is CHUCKING it down - only in bloody scotland!
hazie no problem, will have a think for some middle names - can I have a clue re your last name - initial and how many syllables? well done on the pram at inlaws!
sazzles we'll need a bigger car anyway for the 3 seats and whatever it is it will need to have at least the same sized boot as the mazda, when we trot off to ireland and have the dog too there is no way we can go any smaller - poor dog prefers being in the boot away from the kids anyway lol
cyteen am glad the anniversary passed as 'pleasantly?' as possible, what a lovely dh you have
ts names, ah names! we still have all the boys names we like from the first two not needing them!!!
jude
corin
caleb
roan
cassius
reuben
probably with some form of family middle names as thats what the girls have
we don't mind having a handful to choose from as in our experience we like to check baby suits name before announcing it. dd1 got hers pretty much straight away but dd2 was more deliberation
girls - now here in lies the dilema
both my girls have longer names of which we use shortened versions
dd1 - Isabella - known as Ella
dd2 - Alexandra - known as Lexie
middle names relating to family/friends for both of them, then each have to as well ffs (apparently an irish thing - VG forgive me if am wrong)
SO for this one, if it is another girl are we still in the land of long name needing shortened to keep in with the already set by first two criteria or can we move away from than
dd1 was named after a beloved great aunt of mine but we used Ella as we both loved it AND we don't have an Ella in the family although we do already have an Izzy and great aunt was Isa
dd2 is Alexandra as I desperately wanted Lexie but dh would only use it as a shortened version of Alexandra as he was worried about it becoming 'sexy lexy'
I personally think that there are worse nicknames
am thinking along the lines of
Charlotte - lottie
Beatrice - Bea
Camille - Millie
but nothing really jumping out and smacking me in the face this time
right, have just outed myself as terrible baby namer and revoke my right to give advice
