Here's our shiney, new and slightly ameneded thread to reflect our main topic of conversation recently! Really didn't want to mention the cheese and rice in the same sentence, but as it is a favourite with so many of you, I had to add it in, sorry to Hanaflower!

Bubbaz Brilliant news.

Do you still have all your symptoms?

bubbaz · 15/04/2008 17:07

No pinkali I have been feeling really great for the last week or so. No ms anymore I'm just really hungry. I never really had sore boobs but they are loads bigger this time, I'm still a bit tired but I usually am anyway with running after DS LOL.
Are you still symptom free? how far are you now?

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 17:11

Yes worryingly symptom free other than tiredness and the occasional food adversion and not wanting to cook. Also ahevn't had any twinges for ages up until a few moments ago but that's now gone. Feel like i'm in limbo not feeling pregnant. Very strange!

Sounds like you will be running around after this BEAN too from all it's activity during the scan!

Creena · 15/04/2008 17:13

Great news on the scan Bubbaz! How lovely that you got to see your bean so active!

Good luck with your scan tomorrow, pinky! Don't forget to let us know how you get on.

Oblomov · 15/04/2008 17:17

Good news Bubbaz.
By the way, I was just er wondering, when, can , we , you know, ...
Make love to our husbands again. Do we have to wait till after 12 weeks ?

Oblomov · 15/04/2008 17:18

Not wanting to cook? Pinkali, Are you mad this is the foodie thread, you know.
Today I have made lasagne, macaroni cheese and risotto.
Anyone hungry, come on over for dinner, to my house.

bubbaz · 15/04/2008 17:19

I know i'm dreading it, he is a really good boy but so active.
Have you had a scan yet pinkali? My symptoms started easing off from around 9 weeks. I had some bad twinges again until about a week ago and have nothing since, your body might just be getting used to it and getting itself ready for the nicest 3 months .
Its weird isn't it we complain when we feel awful but also when we don't - You just can't win its such a worrying time.

bubbaz · 15/04/2008 17:20

Oblomov can I move in with you? my DH doesn't like cheese (freak)

lackaDAISYcal · 15/04/2008 17:23

sounds good oblomov . I'm very much at the stage where if I cook it myself I can't eat it. But, DH away till Friday, so no option but to cook or me and the DCs go hungry!!

My DH and I have resumed relations already...in fact have done so more in the last three weeks than in the whole 10mo previous (but I'm sure no-one really needed to know that

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 17:24

Actual cooking makes me feel strange but certain food I crave. We keep on having spag bol as I am loving that at the mo. Love cheese and tomato sandwiches with salt and vinegar crisps in.

Oh that makes me feel better Bubbaz. My boobs losing their tenderness did worry me but i've read that lots of people lose this. Just want my next scan to be ok and then i will try and enjoy the middle tri. I've had 2 early scans. At 6 +5 and 8+ 4 But in last week boobs have changed. You're right pregnancy makes us all nutters

lackaDAISYcal · 15/04/2008 17:25

bubbaz, my DH isn't a fan either....he can only eat things like brie or soapy cheddar; crumbly cheese, strong cheese, blues etc make him gag

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 17:26

Ooh i'm being really cruel to DH i am refusing to have wink wink until after 12 weeks. I read that if you'd had a previous mc you shouldn't really have it in first 12 weeks. I feel a bit bad BUT.. pea is happy!

SoExcited · 15/04/2008 17:27

We've never stopped making love - although feeling sick and tired has meant it's been less frequent tha normal! Unless your doctor has told you not to, then it's fine - just go gently!!

I'm also feeling tonnes better (9+3) and have done for about a weak. Sore boobs still, although getting new bras has helped - gone from a C to a D already?!

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 17:29

Oh no i feel cruel now. I will wait for next scan and then pounce! Well maybe not pounce but perhaps .... well you know

mummyhill · 15/04/2008 17:30

BUM FLUFF Is excellent for advice on cloth nappies and is run by a fellow mumsneter. Flame is great and delivers very proptly, I shall be going to her for any nappies |I need this time round as I love cloth nappies. NO nappy rash at all for DS when he wore cloth!

Oblomov · 15/04/2008 17:31

bubbaz, come on over.
I don't do cheese and RICE though. Hanaflower( I think it is her) and I , makes us feel ill [grin}

LackaDAISy, you hoar
Seriously, like Pinkali, I thought they said, no , if you had had a mc ?

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 17:33

Me too b/c and have gone up to d. I've found that the maternity bras give me a fantastic cleavage! ha ha. Not that i'm showing it off as I have the national grid of blue veins on my chest.. MMMMmmmm lovely.

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 17:34

I literally don't think I could. I would be so afraid. I know that PEA is happy in his/her cacoon but my mind would be on it all the time.

Oblomov · 15/04/2008 17:35

Hana, my twin, now triplet. I LOVE YOU.
waves. Cheesy fiend ( no rice, ) it is then, for the 18th ers.

oh that's another thing. Can't stand the thought of cooking chicken at the moment.

My bras are from Mothercare. Have one really nice one which is a Elle Mcpherson nursing bra. The rest are a bit plainer but the cleavage is fab and they feel so comfy. They fit slightly different to underwired bras which the wire is supposed to fit round the boob, non underwired just hold you in especially the maternity ones but are nice to wear. I have also bought some sleeping bras. My sister advised me as it can avoid sagging after pregnancy and breast feeding... So they say!
