Good luck Carey, you can do it!

Ellie, I don't know what I actually weigh but have turned massive in the last week too. I'm also more achey and finding it more and more difficult to do anything, I'm starting to be glad I've only got 2 weeks left (plus a day or 2 prob) til the docs start the baby coming, I think I'm ready now! Sort of...

Also, does anyone else get awful trapped wind in the evening then spend the night trumpeting it out? Or just me? It's very painful and I'm more fed up about that than all the other aches and pains!

EllieG · 11/03/2008 09:23

I have terrible hurty trapped wind by evening knitter, am most unpleasant to live with at the moment! Poor DP, am either moaning or farting. PG truely is a beautiful time....

KnitterInTheNW · 11/03/2008 09:26

Glad it's not just me! DH announced yesterday that he thought we were having another earthquake when he woke up in the night... and I was in the spare room!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 11/03/2008 09:43

Ha ha ha - you ladies!

Ellie - I have a friend who put on 70 pounds with her 1st LO, 50 pounds with her 2nd LO and 25 pounds with her last one! She lost weight remarkably quickly after each birth - so don't worry - I am sure you will be fine! I still have the extra bit of weight I was carrying before I got pregnant to get rid of!

Denny185 · 11/03/2008 09:51

Pregnancy is such a fab time all, how many people actually 'glow', most just have the worst bits. Ellie if it's any help Im up to nearly 4 stone weight gain now (quite good for me) with the last 2 pregnancies I lost 3 stone in 10 days so a lot had to be fluidy coz ob not all that baby and placenta. You might do the same thing.

Trumped for England when i was carrying DS and they wernt just noisy either, everyone used to evacuate the room

Last night didnt go to bed till 11, up at 6.30 and still had to go to the loo 3 times during the night, wouldnt it be nice to drop fluid intake.

Denny185 · 11/03/2008 09:55

Oh and toast, dont wish too hard for a 'nesting instinct', dont know how DH is putting up with me at the moment coz Im doing my own head in with all the moving/sorting/cleaning.

KnitterInTheNW · 11/03/2008 09:56

I went to bed last night at 11ish, and had my 4th trip to the loo at 3:30. Hs anyone got a catheter I could use?!

sagitta · 11/03/2008 09:56

Morning all

Congratulations Gemprincess! I hope you have managed to hold him now - if not, I'm sure it'll be soon. That's a great weight
Sorry about your nan, Scorpio, I hope everything is OK with you otherwise and you haven't been blown about too much.
Glad the northern meet-up went well!
I ate masses of mozzarella in Italy last week - in fact the waiter double checked with me that I really wanted it, which did make me wonder if we are allowed it, but it looked so yummy...
I seem to be back where I started with this PG - I can't stand chocolate any more probably a good thing as I am like a whale. I saw my dad at the weekend, and he said "wow, you are as wide as you are fat at the front" . Of course, being level-headed and totally in control of myself I immediately burst into tears...

ThePFJ · 11/03/2008 10:03

Hi everyone.

Toastaddict: my sleep patterns are so screwed up at the moment, I have no idea where I am.

EllieG: put down the potato pealer of self harm and look at me. See that giant EXTRA CHIN? You can't miss it. Enough said.

Sigh.

Now I have to clean the kitchen. -looks despondant-
I will I WILL I WILL clean the kitchen.

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 11/03/2008 10:03

I must be the only one who doesn't suffer from needing the loo the whole time! I drink plenty (2 - 3l a day) but yet I don't seem to need to go as much as I thought I would! Even at night - I get up max once!

KnitterInTheNW · 11/03/2008 10:04

Well, what a kind and thoughtful man your dad is Sagitta! That's just the sort of thing my dad would say too.

Talking about sensitive-to-our-pg men, DH was looking at my tights clad, water logged leg when he got home from work. After 5 mins he announced that 'now I really fancy sausages for tea'. Thanks petal! And he meant it, he couldn't sit still til he'd been out & bought some, cooked them & ate them. Good job I love him!

Denny185 · 11/03/2008 10:06

enough said

sagitta · 11/03/2008 10:09

Nice, Knitter!
I'm with you on the windy thing, too. Except its more burps, equally disgusting...

KnitterInTheNW · 11/03/2008 10:12

I've painted a delightful picture of my DH this morning haven't I, actually he'd never say anything he didn't think I'd see the funny side of, and he mostly gets it right!

ThePFJ · 11/03/2008 10:12

Oh and re farting in the night:
The other night after watching me pull my little straining face, and rolling around pathecially for 5 mins only to hear me produce the tiniest little fart my DP said (In a Diddums type voice)
Awwwwww... your so full of baby oo can't even trump!!!

I of course tried to look cute, nodded and put my arms out for a cuddle.
I am turning into some kind of fluffy bunnykins emotional diaster zone. o.O
Help.

EllieG · 11/03/2008 10:25

Oh god am laughing so hard at all your posts I can't even slightly pretend am doing work. Tried to tell other people in office that am jsut writing a really funny assessment, but it hasn't washed....must go do some work.

pfj - have a cup of tea. Then clean kitchen. Then sit down watch tv with another cuppa.

bunnyrabbit · 11/03/2008 10:26

PMSL PFL

Soph73 · 11/03/2008 10:49

Morning all. Don´t worry about the weight gain Ellie I´ve put on LOADS in the last month. I keep thinking I should be cleaning/nesting but just can´t be arsed I´m with all you trapped wind/farty people too. Fortunately am only getting up once in the night for a wee.

Soph73 · 11/03/2008 10:52

Am off to the Health Centre later for a check-up after having taken my blood pressure every day for a month. It´s been quite good but this place makes my pressure sky-rocket for some reason. Have also got to request a scan for 3 wks time as the gynae said Sam´s a bit small for his age so I should have a check up.

KnitterInTheNW · 11/03/2008 11:07

hee hee, I just texted DH to reassure him he's not the only DH/DP suffering with windy-wifeitis. He said it's not trapped wind, it's more like a trapped hurricane

I'm going to go away now until I can think of something ladylike to say. I may be some time.

Soph73 · 11/03/2008 11:15

Knitter - I can´t remember when I last said something lady-like I´m quite well known for my no-nonsense attitude but I really do have to bite my tongue these days & that´s not an easy thing when you're surrounded by Sixth Formers & teachers every day

ThePFJ · 11/03/2008 11:18

LOL Knitter. This could be a while.

KnitterInTheNW · 11/03/2008 11:23

Actually I normally just it like it is too, and I am no lady so no point trying to be! I'm girly but not a lady

I'm got my final growth scan tomorrow, I'm expecting Junior (AKA probably George) to have grown masses since 2 weeks ago because I certainly have, but still got my fingers crossed that he's a) normal size and b) not breech any more. I think I'll be disapointed on both counts though. We'll see!

I was going to suggest that if Sam is still measuring small, I'd happily send some of our big-ness your way, then realised that in 3 weeks time my little monkey will definately be here. Help!

KnitterInTheNW · 11/03/2008 11:24

normally just tell it like it is.

Soph73 · 11/03/2008 11:32

Knitter - thanks & wow on your little/big one being here in 3 wks Where did the time go????? With Sam´s measurements I do have 4 due dates & the gynae is going on the 1st one so maybe he isn´t small if it's in relation to a later due date (did that make sense?) I´ll ask the Dr later.
