LOL Moomsin! That said I coud have done with my bra under my swimsuit this morning. Bloody pregnant nipples now kind of show through my aqua blue bathing suit

VictorianSqualor · 10/03/2008 14:21

LOL MM!!!

scorpio1 · 10/03/2008 14:23

pmsl!!

Have had to ask DH to come home for school run - i cannot walk in the weather outside, seriously and literally. We have docs at 4.20 otherwise i may try it. He can use the car to get Reilly.

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 14:25

ROFL at bra in swimming pool and pregnant nipple!!

Soph73 · 10/03/2008 14:33

Wow, have only just caught up with all your threads. Congrats GemPrincess, fingers crossed for Ashton being home soon Sorry to hear about your Nan Scorpio I can´t be arsed to tidy either although desperately want to. Hey ho! Feel very periody most of the time now. Easter hols from Friday - yippee

Mollyfloss · 10/03/2008 15:03

I'm having a girly dinner chez moi tomorrow and I'm going to make my Mum's world renowned lasagne for the main course. Anybody got a good idea for a starter? As lasagne is fairly heavy usually I would do something light like smoked salmon for starters but it's off the menu as two of us are preggers. Any suggestions?

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 15:07

Steamed asparagus is quick easy and yummy, or ciabatta with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

Or a fish pate (you can eat this when preggers) and melba toast.

eva07 · 10/03/2008 15:08

what about spinach salat with roasted bacon cubes?

moominsmummy · 10/03/2008 15:08

ooo molly - lasagna -yum - can you send me some over??

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 15:09

Oooh yummy.. tomomato, avacado and Mozarella? (you can have soft cheese if it's pasteurised)

eva07 · 10/03/2008 15:10

or yummie ciabatta from BR and additionally put some olives on the table

I'm hungry now!

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 15:13

So am I. Putting my chocolate crepe in the microwave now!!

Soph73 · 10/03/2008 15:14

Sounds scrummy Molly - save some for me

Mollyfloss · 10/03/2008 15:21

Some really good suggestions there. Would do the spinach salad with bacon only that I am serving a side of salad with the lasagne. Ciabatta is good too but having garlic bread already on the side. Will keep thos two ideas in mind for another time though. I didn't know I could have fish paté so might have a look for that. Avocado, mozz & tomato would be great too particularly if I added a light pesto dressing!

I just hope I get the lasagne right. My Mum makes the best lasagne ever. Everybody goes nuts for it!

Soph73 · 10/03/2008 15:33

Thank goodness I´m off home in a min as I now desperately need to raid the fridge after all this talk of Lasagna See you all tomorrow.

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 15:35

mmm lasagne.....

northeastmummy · 10/03/2008 15:39

Molly, I was thinking about getting a doll with all the bits for DD for when baby comes along. She already has some bits and pieces but not a cot or change mat etc. Could be fun .

You could just have a yummy dip for a starter and put some different types of breads and snacks out. I once blended up a jar of artichokes for a dip and it was yum scrum and so easy!!

KnitterInTheNW · 10/03/2008 15:54

Honestly, we go out for a couple of hours and there are several pages to catch up on!

Thanks to Sheds & Denny for a lovely lunch, it was really lovely to meet you both in RL and looking forward to doing it again with 3 extra little people in tow. (And no, we didn't fall out!)

I vote for mozzarella, avocado & tomato with basil for a starter. In fact I could just eat that now.

EllieG · 10/03/2008 16:00

Thank God! I've been so worried that our family will be torn apart and I'd be a tug-of-love mumsnetter....

Am hungry. Avocado, mozarella and tomato salad sounds gooooood

VictorianSqualor · 10/03/2008 16:03

Home made potato wedges as a side with the lasagne.
So easy and delish!

EllieG · 10/03/2008 16:06

I am making a salmon quiche tonight with peas yum.

EllieG · 10/03/2008 16:21

Oh no have killed the thread - you are obviously stunned into silence with my fabulous tea wot I am making

bunnyrabbit · 10/03/2008 16:21

Oooh so glad we don't have to choose sides.

Off home soon so catch you all tomorrow.

BR

Scampmum · 10/03/2008 16:31

Hey all.

First and foremost - CONGRATS GP!! Hope Ashton is home safe really soon. Love the name.

I worked all last week but by Friday was getting the worst loud and horribly painful clicking in my pelvis (imagine typing on an old and rusty typweriter into a loudspeaker!) which has lasted all weekend, added to really crap sleep and I just didn't feel up to it today. Plus am having to drive to work in London and I didn't really fancy driving in this weather as I'm not exactly the world's best driver anyway - I can hold your hands, Scorpio and VS, as I passed two years ago (nearly exactly, on 14th March, 8 months pregnant - the power of the sympathy vote ) and am still rubbish/scared/way too inattentive.

Still p1ssing it down here. Had to take DD in this morning as DH had an early meeting miles away in North London and she doesn't have a raincoat (have to park quite far from nursery, well, 200m or so but that takes me about 10 mins at the mo!) so walked with umbrella which luckily lasted until about 10m from the entrance when a big gust of wind blew it into my forehead and snapped about half of the arm bits right off! DD was very sweet and patted my head really attentively 'Mummy's head sore - umbrella hit it'.

Trying not to get too down re the SPD but god it's painful and I just can't do ANYTHING! Felt almost good being at work as at least I was doing something - got dressed, put makeup on etc. Have also put on 6lb in two weeks in spite of not eating much - think some of it is maybe water as don't think I look that much fatter.

Molly - I think the tricolore salad (get me ) sounds great - either with fresh basil leaves tucked in or a basil dressing. Are we not allowed to eat smoked salmon ?

KnitterInTheNW · 10/03/2008 16:32

That's exactly what it was Ellie, silenced by the fact that you're making something for tea and I can't be bothered!

See you tomorrow BR.

It's just taken me half an hour to summon the energy to put some laundry in the machine. Now I need to sit down cos I did it.
