Hi ladies, can I join you? I'm 39 and just got my first ever BFP on Monday after my 6th round of IVF! In complete shock & trying not to be too anxious/think too far ahead but it's so hard!
How's everyone feeling? So far I've only had some cramping (mainly at night) and peeing lots. Think due date would be around 29th Oct.
Lemonbell · 25/02/2022 15:57
Hi!
I’ve also not really had classic symptoms…just the missed period and BFPs. I’ve had cramps, which I thought were pms cramps, obvs know better now. Some other cramps too but mild. A few times I’ve had waves of nausea but I don’t know if that’s in my head or my stomach turning when I think “I’m pregnant!” 😄 I am drinking water at an alarming rate.
Not convinced it’s not more psychological though and I suspect I’ll be struck by the classics in the next week or so, all being well (so to speak!) and am kind of hoping for it so that it makes it more ‘real’

@lemonbell ive also had the crazy thirst! Like no matter how much I drink I still feel parched!
@dontbeaneejit have you told him yet? 😃How did you do it?
@Margo34 did you have nausea right from the beginning last time then? I keep wondering when that's meant to start. Dreading it but also kind of wanting it for some reassurance!
Dontbeaneejit · 26/02/2022 17:18
Yeah I told him last night. He had bought me a late gift for valentine's so then I told him I had a gift too and showed him my test. Took a digital one this morning too which estimates 1-2 weeks so I must have ovulated really late in my cycle. My only symptom so far has been an weird amount of saliva. I know it sounds odd but honestly feel like I'm dribbling all the time 🤣

@zoeyT I thought I had nausea from the start last time, but I kept a week-by-week diary and turns out I didn't jot down nausea until wk7 & wk8. Up until then all the symptoms were bloating, hot at night, vivid dreams, lots of saliva, peeing a lot, and exhausted.
Glad I kept a diary! Funny how easy it is to forget the little things.

@Dontbeaneejit
You have more restraint than I do! I could barely keep it to myself for 10mins 🤣

Hi, can I join even though my due date is 4th November? Second child, I have a 3 year old. This one is planned so I'll be on maternity leave when she's in reception. Perfect. I've craved tofu and I'm not a vegetarian. However, I crave foods without being vegitarian. I've also had this heat rash from conception, itchy skin. I hope it won't be like this all pregnancy. I'm 30.

Nice to see lots have joined since I last looked
I had my appointment through for my scan today. It’s not til 30th of March ad I’ll be nearly 14 weeks so I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to tell the sex! I’ve had a lot of practice I’m going to try and not look because I’d love a surprise this time.
Does anyone else know if they’re going to find out yet? Those with kids what have you got already? I have 5 boys and 3 girls x
Foxglovesandlilacs86 · 28/02/2022 22:46
@Bramblecrumble21 yes I suppose so! I'm pretty lucky when it comes to pregnancy, they've all been straightforward and haven't had much sickness except with my 6th where I was sick pretty much all day every day the whole time! The births were all lovely too, I had water births with the first six but the last two times they wouldnt let me because of the risk of post partum haemorrhage.
I found out the sex with all my others but I've always wanted a suprise, I just don't ever make it that far im too nosy! I'd love to not find out this time as it's my last (I said that the last two times ) x

Foxgloveandlilacs I hated being pregnant last time. I didn't have much morning sicknesses but My mental health was awful, I didn't know having children was right for me and the birth was not straitforward. Neither was it the most traumatic. I remember I had a canula in each wrist and I'd bend them during contractions and only felt that pain after I finished. They wouldn't immeadeatly remove them either so holding and feeding my baby was weird. It felt like a very long 8 months so I knew I wanted at least.a gap or to leave it at one. However, I'm so happy being a mum, and I loved the newborn baby stage even, which I was fearing. So this time I'm more positive. I know what to expect. I may pick your brains about a water birth later. I tried to use water in early pregnancy but it was so uncomfortable and when I was admitted I couldn't have one due to infection risk. My waters broke as the first labour sign and it was 36 weeks.

Hi mlb1984 -Hello. I thought November was popular, I know loads of adults with November babies and it's 9 months after valentine's and lambs frolocking in fields. When's your due date. Mines the 4th and if last pregnancy is to go by it will actually be in October.
Bramblecrumble21 · 01/03/2022 06:15
Lilyjay14 I've got itchy skin rashsince conception. It comes and goes, so I haven't been to pharmacy/drs. I've switched to non perfumed dove soap and it seems to help. I couldn't find it last week and used my DD child's farm sensitive skin, but that made it worse. Also from last night my smell hot got more sensitive and I'm getting some muscle pains near my uteres, when I was laying on my back, I curled up and them left.

@foxglovesandlilacs86 oh I'd love to have a big family, I couldn't convince my husband to start early enough so I'll probably have to settle for 2 with age a factor. I have a 17m little one already and I'll be 38 when this one arrives.
I loved being pregnant last time but sadly had no-one to share the journey with except my husband because it was lockdown, and then because of 2md lockdown family only met baby once before they turned 6m old so no-one saw me become a.mum either. So I'm looking forward to being able to share this pregnancy journey in person ☺️
