On Braxton hicks I think I've started getting them, whilst having my hair done today baby was so active and my tummy went so tight and had back pain which wrapped around to my lower abdomen and it goes on for a bit 😬

Re maternity pads, I liked the Mothercare ones best. Such a shame they are not around anymore. Boots also do nice comfy ones, i've stocked up on them.

@Aaaaa1519 I found last time just any supermarket maternity pads were fine. This time I’ve got boots and Sainsbury’s. I don’t think I used that many tbh and went onto normal odd quite quickly.

@PurplePansy05 I honestly don’t know, it all depends I suppose. If they say he hasn’t grown I think they might bring it forward, but then on the other hand will they just want to wait a week? To be fair though this was the first bump measurement that’s been taken as I was having constant growth scans anyway, so there was nothing to go by!

I have had a rough couple of days. I did a private Group B Strep test and it came back positive. Concerned this might impact my ability to give birth in the birthing centre. Also, I am allergic to most antibiotics so really worried how this will effect me in the birth. But of course I'll take them.

I've also got something weird going on (and apologies for TMI, if you are squeamish, don't read!) - I've felt an extraordinary amount of pelvic pressure the last week, literally can feel the baby head butting my pelvis. Yesterday I noticed that I have several blood blisters/swollen capillaries on my vulva. I know that piles on the back end are normal, but has anyone had this before? UGH.

Aw good news girls, I just had a lovely call from my diabetes midwife saying I'm doing marvellous and can now reduce my testing from 6 times daily to 3 times daily 😊 I know it's just a few days left before the section, but it's such a relief anyway, I'm so pleased 😊 xx

@PurplePansy05 That is fab news!! Perfect timing before Monday for you! @WolfMother326 So sorry to hear about your strep B, it just shows why they should offer it to us as standard!! Sorry I can’t help much on the other issue but maybe worth giving the advice line a call to ask about it? Xx

@WolfMother326 i've mother i've never had this myself, but I have heard it can be common towards the end. Its caused by the pressure from the baby. Of course if you're concerned check it out:)

I'm due on 8th August with a little girl 💕 but consultant wants to induce me on Monday @PurplePansy05 (thanks for adding me to the list whenever you can).

I might ask for induction to be delayed. I had my 4th sweep yesterday and there still isn't much progress....Baby is obv not ready and I'm slowly getting more anxious about having to be induced.

Ladies - officially on my annual leave for a week from this minute and then Mat leave from 9th august. So am done for a year!!! Feels surreal 🙏🏽❤️
