@BertieBotts can you actually remember your labour pain?? I always tell people that you forget because otherwise women would never have more than one child if they remembered it! I can't remember the pain at all, other than the ring of fire. I obviously know I was in pain but have no recollection of it !

Smurf123 · 25/07/2021 07:37

Hope everyone is well.
Quick update here Baby girl was born at 2341 last night after a long few days. We are both doing well x

That’s a wonderful update! Many congratulations Flowers

@lucyrp I absolutely remember the pain of being attached to the drip…makes my scalp feel tight thinking of it Sad

BertieBotts · 25/07/2021 07:42

I can definitely remember the ring of fire and I remember how the pain made me feel. I can remember it to an extent anyway.

BertieBotts · 25/07/2021 07:43

Oh Smurf brilliant news! Congratulations!!

livingwithbees · 25/07/2021 07:45

@RandomCatGenerator how are you feeling now?

HopefulB · 25/07/2021 07:58

Aww, Congratulations Smurf! Lovely news 💕

HopefulB · 25/07/2021 08:03

Thanks @PurplePansy05 our kitchen is now done (mostly, I’m not painting anything for a few months!) so just 2 bathrooms to go.

How many fitted sheets/sleeping bags have people got? I think I may need a couple more….

lucyrp · 25/07/2021 08:05

@HopefulB I only have 2 fitted crib sheets and no sleeping bags yet🤷🏼‍♀️🙈

Is anyone else feeling nauseous again ?

PurplePansy05 · 25/07/2021 08:22

Congratulations @Smurf123!!! Fantastic news! I bet you're over the moon! Welcome to the world, baby girl! Wishing your mummy a speedy recovery 💝💐 xx

biscuitcat · 25/07/2021 08:34

Congratulations @Smurf123! Such lovely news 🥰 you must be so thrilled!

@HopefulB I've got three fitted crib sheets I think, and 2 sleeping bags - I'm hoping that's enough!

@PurplePansy05 I don't know how I pulled it off either!! I think I'm paying the price for it now, I'm incredibly tired. But we're having a nice brunch this morning then heading back to my mum's, as she's been dog-sitting, and I'm aiming to get precisely nothing done tomorrow, which will hopefully help restore my energy levels!

@BertieBotts good luck for your ECV tomorrow - I hope it works out for you! Xx

alittlexmasmagic · 25/07/2021 08:46

@Smurf123 wonderful news! Congratulations xx

livingwithbees · 25/07/2021 08:56

@lucyrp not nauseous but my back is KILLING me and I’ve had a couple of instances of it wrapping around to the front in the last 30 mins. Plus side is I cleaned the car seat yesterday, negative is that now I have to put it all back together!

@HopefulB woefully under prepped in this area but from memory I think I have two of each stashed away somewhere. Really, really need to start getting things out and not living in denial 😂

@BertieBotts very best of luck for tomorrow, hope everything goes to plan!

Daffodil21 · 25/07/2021 09:00

Thanks @Jessicapebbles I'll have a look and give some a good!

Ah of course @BertieBotts! Sorry! I hope all goes well!

@Smurf123 congratulations!!! Absolutely lovely news Thanks

@Smurf123 Massive congratulations!! That is such lovely news. Glad you’re both doing well. Xx

Daffodil21 · 25/07/2021 10:49

I have another silly question 😳

What do you carry your baby out of the hospital in..?! We don't have a car seat that doubles as a carrier thing - do we take a pram? Do we just carry him to the car?? Totally clueless 😂

Fran919 · 25/07/2021 10:53

Congratulations @Smurf123 glad to hear you’re both well xx

Aaaaa1519 · 25/07/2021 11:50

Great news @Smurf123 congratulations x hope you’re both doing well

@lucyrp definitely remember the pains I couldn’t forget them if I tried lol
& yes to the nausea as well, it’s not constant but I will get random waves of it during the day esp first thing in the morning

Aaaaa1519 · 25/07/2021 11:52

@Daffodil21 my hospital wouldn’t let us take baby without the car seat but you could try explaining that yours is fitted in and maybe they’ll be ok with that

lucyrp · 25/07/2021 11:54

@livingwithbees I've had that too 😖

@Daffodil21 oh that's an interesting question never thought about that! Umm I think I'd just carry them ?? As long as you feel comfortable with it

@Aaaaa1519 yes first thing in the morning I get it awful! Sometimes when I wake at around 4am too

Daffodil21 · 25/07/2021 11:54

@Aaaaa1519 it's the Joie I spin 360 one so definitely isn't portable...! I think we'll just make sure we have the pram in the car! I'll take it with me to my air b&b trip.

I've read that so many times about the car seat - I understand if you're trying to take your baby home in a car without a car seat but anything else just seems ridiculous!

OP posts:
Daffodil21 · 25/07/2021 11:56

@lucyrp no idea if I'd feel comfortable with it tbh - I was thinking about that and thought I'd be worried about tripping over or something!

I think the pram seems like the most sensible option...
