@Sunshine8888 thank you 🙂

@MrsTwentyNine yes, glad to be in contact with others going through the same thing!
My biggest problem is that I’m living abroad and still working from home so there’s waaay too much time to think. Suddenly had a super busy day today, would really appreciate more of these 😁 I’ve also never watched so much football, good distraction 😅

WinsAndNeedles · 17/06/2021 21:00

I finally told DH today. I couldn't wait for Sunday in the end. I've been so worried about telling him because we had both come to terms with the fact I was perimenopausal and we weren't going to have any more babies. I've been really ill over the past couple of years too, so it just made sense that we weren't having more (we have two happy, healthy kids already so we are blessed). So we'd started talking about the future a lot more and making plans.

Anyway, I was brickin' it! So he went for his job interview, came home really excited and I had to tell him..... He's really happy! I've cried...a lot!! Such a relief! Grin

@Foxy1303

Hello all, sorry I've been a bit quiet, welcome newcomers! (Quick reintro I'm 34, currently 7+2, first pregnancy, nausea hit at 6 weeks on the dot, actually been sick the last 3 mornings) I'm currently coming off one anxiety tablet and going onto another one. Struggling a bit this week with it all but hoping I'll feel back to normal again soon. Been signed off work for 2 weeks. Got my first Midwife appointment this afternoon, so looking forward to that and will tell her all my thoughts and feelings. Anyone else on antidepressants? L x
@Foxy1303 How was your appointment? Hope you feel back to yourself soon. Not on anything but I am already feeling very anxious ...I'm only 14DPO!

Just to introduce myself
I'm 29 (duh) , been TTC 8 months (would have been a year but had Covid and then the vaccine so cycles messed up for 4 ish months) DTD only once this cycle and wrote it off but as they all say ...when least expected! I work in healthcare so have to tell work fairly soon (depending on this being all ok! 🤞🏽) because I don't want to expose myself to new variants of Covid during this time 😟

What's everyone's EDD on here ?

Also dumb question, the booking in visit is different to the dating scan right ? Dating scan around 12 weeks but when should booking in scan be ? How soon?

momo20 · 18/06/2021 06:41

@MrsTwentyNine my booking appointment has been scheduled for 10 weeks.. and then my first scan should be 11-13 weeks according to the paperwork I received.

Foxy1303 · 18/06/2021 09:28

@MrsTwentyNine thanks, I'm getting there! I spoke to our lovely pharmacist yesterday regarding pregnancy/antidepressants/anxiety and he was so great. Really put me at ease after a few questionable appointments with the GP!

My appointment was at 7+3 and was the prebooking appointment, so bloods, weight, height, BP, etc. All went well and the lady was lovely. I then have my actual booking appointment on 6th July when I'll be 10+2.

Lollipop25 · 18/06/2021 17:57

@MrsTwentyNine EDD until told otherwise😂 02/02/2022. Have ultrasound Tuesday so will see if they change it

bubblegumunicorn · 19/06/2021 18:21

Hey can I join
I'm 30
Got BFP today
Have a 22 mo DD
Day of last period was 18/05/21 so around 4 + 2 is my guess

Bit of mixed emotions here as this was an accidental pregnancy caused by our solicitor cocking up our house move and our contraception ending up in storage 🙈 so here we are! DH is not 100% on board yet so I haven't really processed how I feel at all from trying to gage his reaction! I definitely feel ready for another but I'm still breastfeeding DD so I've not had my body to my self for almost 3 years now I was hoping for a bit of a break when she turns 2 in august! Anyway I came on here as I found Due date groups kept me sane in the early weeks last time!

Foxy1303 · 19/06/2021 19:22

Hi @bubblegumunicorn congratulations on your BFP. I'm 8 weeks tomorrow, first pregnancy! Welcome to the group ☺️

mummyh2016 · 19/06/2021 19:46

Those that are near the front of the bus have you heard anything from a midwife yet? I didn't ask for a referral until I was 6 weeks but I've still not heard anything and I'll be 8 weeks on Monday. With DD I asked for the referral as soon as I got my bfp and I'm pretty sure I'd had my booking in appointment by this point last time.

I heard from the community midwife quite early on and arranged with her an over the phone booking in appointment on Tuesday, when I will be 7w 5d
bubblegumunicorn · 20/06/2021 08:13

@mummyh2016 you should have heard I didn't find out with my first until 7 weeks and they still had me in for 8 weeks I would call to make sure they haven't missed you off the list! They had done for me with my 12 week scan so it can happen!!

NorthernMammy · 20/06/2021 17:20

@mummyh2016 I had my booking in on the phone on Friday at 8+4. Going in for bloods, height, weight etc on Thursday. Dreading it as I'm not great with blood tests, trying to be fine cause I know it's important for my baby! Still trying to hold off private scan as hopefully my nhs scan won't be long now but I feel so pants I think it'll be easier to cope with once I've had a scan and it feels a bit more real. Sickness has definitely ramped up this week!

Foxy1303 · 20/06/2021 21:27

@mummyh2016 I had my prebooking appointment at 7+3 (Wednesday just gone) then have my booking in appointment on 6th July when I'll be 10+2. No scan date yet!

Bells3032 · 21/06/2021 12:19

Hello all.

Just a little update from me after our slightly shocking natural pregnancy in the middle of IVF.

We had our scan today and saw a lovely strong heartbeat....and then we saw a second lovely strong heartbeat!!! It's twins! they think its non-identical! and they are about 7w and 4days! So i was about 3 weeks when we started the IVF treatment! haha

Absolutely bonkers! We are in total shock

WinsAndNeedles · 21/06/2021 12:22

Well I survived the rock climbing etc. Nearly gave DH a heart attack when he came round the corner to see me hurtling down a zip wire! But then yesterday (probably activity related) the exhaustion and nausea set in.

Need to contact my GP to give him the good news and sort out my booking appointment and folic acid prescription (I need high dose stuff). Do you think I might be able to persuade them to get me in for an early scan as I'm not at all sure about my dates?

WinsAndNeedles · 21/06/2021 12:24

@Bells3032 that is amazing! Congratulations!! How are you feeling?

Bells3032 · 21/06/2021 12:34

@WinsAndNeedles er a little shocked. my DH has been laughing manically all morning. he can't quite believe it. I just cannot believe it. We didn't think we'd ever be able to get pregnant naturally let alone with two

WinsAndNeedles · 21/06/2021 13:11

I can imagine your DH laughing. I think mine would be the same. I have no idea what we'd do if we found out we're having twins. We've barely got room for one more as it is!
What a blessing though!

CycloGoose · 21/06/2021 14:51

@Bells3032 oh my goodness that's amazing news! I was trying to work out whether the stims had helped you to ovulate with 2 eggs but seems like you must have already been pregnant when you started taking stims which sounds insane! You would have thought they would have noticed that you'd recently ovulated at least!! So excited for you and your hubby. Such amazing news ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Glad you survived the activity weekend @WinsAndNeedles I'm also feeling awful today. They might sneak you in for a scan but probably not unless there's a medical need for it. I've booked one with window to the womb for tonight.

I'm terrified it's just going to be empty amniotic fluid - think I've just had so many friends experience loss recently and my own early MC that I can't quite bring myself to believe it.

Sending love to everyone xxx

WinsAndNeedles · 21/06/2021 21:13

@CycloGoose how was your scan? I really hope you found something in there!

Lollipop25 · 21/06/2021 21:13

Ah congrats @Bells3032 twins 👏👏🤗 so exciting

CycloGoose · 21/06/2021 21:19

@WinsAndNeedles a tiny perfect beating bean :-) 6w3d so not much to see but thankfully not anembryonic which I was most nervous about.

BristolEm · 21/06/2021 21:23

Haven't posted for a while but have been keenly following all the updates. Hello to the other first time mums who have joined 👋 and congratulations @Bells3032. Two of my friends had twins last year and are all doing well.

I'm 10 weeks today and the exhaustion is unreal! I was helping my mum clear out a house at the weekend which definitely didn't help but had to ring in sick today and have slept for most the day. I'm awaiting my latest thyroid results and have first midwife appointment on Thursday so looking forward to getting a thorough check of everything. My weirdest symptom this weekend was having hazy vision at times. Thought it was due to having a burst blood vessel in my eye but apparently pregnancy makes the cornea get thicker! Pregnancy symptoms are equally odd and fascinating.

Hope you're all doing okay and surviving all the other fun first trimester symptoms.

WinsAndNeedles · 21/06/2021 22:14

Awww! Congratulations @CycloGoose ! It's amazing to see your little bean!

Bells3032 · 22/06/2021 09:14

@CycloGoose congrats. it's so amazing to see for the first time. it's so weird there's actually a living person inside of you :'-)

thanks to everyone for their congrats on our surprises this last week. finally calmed down a bit this am.
