@NorthernMammy welcome! This is my second baby (3rd pregnancy). How are you feeling so far?

stripytiger09 · 07/06/2021 21:04

@NorthernMammy just actually read what you wrote previously 🤦🏼‍♀️ sorry!

Sunshine8888 · 07/06/2021 21:48

Welcome @NorthernMammy and congrats!

Ahhhh I am just feeling exhausted already and like I’m walking around in a think fog ! I really don’t remember feeling this bad with my first this early on! Also just spent 2.5 hours battling my toddler to go to bed which is exhausting in itself. I’m starting to wonder how I’m going to cope with pregnancy and a toddler 😱

Sunshine8888 · 07/06/2021 22:03

Has anyone notified Gp / midwife they’re pregnant yet? I can’t remember how early I did this last time but know my booking appointment wasn’t until 8 weeks plus

littlelionroars · 07/06/2021 22:18

@minthumbugs If everything goes smoothly with my pregnancy, I will reschedule for the second trimester. If I miscarry, I will go for the vaccine ASAP. I have actually already had Covid, so I presume (hope) I have some immunity to it already. It really winds me up that I was refused and other ladies have managed to have it without any issue. Especially since it was before I even knew I was pregnant. I have to just put it it of my mind for now. It's a bit awkward though as friends/colleagues keep asking me if I've had my vaccination and I have to keep skirting around it Blush

I have also stopped testing, the test lines were darker than the control on the last eat. So thought I'd leave it at that. I'm also not experiencing loads of symptoms. Just feeling tired, sore boobs and a bit bloated!

Good luck with your scan. I'm going to book myself one for week 8. Last time I miscarried around that time, so don't want to scan before then and be disappointed again.

stripytiger09 · 08/06/2021 11:21

@Sunshine8888 I finally booked mine this morning. My trust is self referral so I filled in the online form and then they'll send an email with a date and time 😊

Adelyra · 08/06/2021 14:36

Bleurgh - the feeling iffy and the exhaustion started yesterday.

I work in MH, right now all I want is to crawl into bed, not talk about improving symptoms of depression and suicidal ideation.

Who's on the sick boat with me?

Bundaberg84 · 08/06/2021 14:57

@Adelyra I'm more in the "all food looks stupid" mood. The only thing I can eat right now is cheese. I wanted to order take out yesterday but nothing looked "right". That's so not me, normally I can't decide what to order because everything looks delicious.
But as soon as I have a plate of food in front of me, I'm eating it. If I don't, I won't eat anything because I'm not hungry at all. It drives me nuts.

Adelyra · 08/06/2021 15:54

@Bundaberg84 when I had my first I had intense cravings when looking at ads and I ate beige until about week 13. 🙈

CycloGoose · 08/06/2021 15:57

@Sunshine8888 I notified GP immediately as she has been a rock throughout. She sent me link to self-refer. I might get mine nearer 6 weeks but only because my LMP date and ovulation date don't match. So I'm 6 weeks today according to NHS but know I'm actually 4+3.

@adelyra had a little wave of nausea this morning but probably too early to be real. I'm really suffering with hayfever though and constipation! 🤦🏼‍♀️

@bundaberg84 did you hear back about your blood tests?XXX 🤞🤞🤞

Adelyra · 08/06/2021 16:04

I am finding it a bit hard to keep track.

Ladies do you mind giving me your stats again?

Me:

37 yo
1 son aged 5
first day of last period 26.04
EDD 31.01
Early scan booked 25.06
Harmony Test booked 05.07
12 week scan (in France because I am awkwards): 21.07
Symptoms: feeling bleurgh, tired and cramps.

Bundaberg84 · 08/06/2021 16:05

@CycloGoose this minute! Hcg levels are "excellent" he said, which is of course great. I have my first "real" appointment next Monday, but after asking again regarding the bleeding he told to just come in tomorrow morning again and do a short check-up just to rule out anything like an ectopic. Which probably won't be the case because I have no pain at all - but better safe than sorry right? I also will get a description for something, forgot if it's estrogen or progesterone, but something that maybe could help.

minthumbugs · 08/06/2021 16:26

@Sunshine8888 not yet! Able to refer at 6 weeks in my area and I'm over 7 now but just thought no point until after scan 🤞🏻

That's a good idea @littlelionroars. It is so awkward having to avoid the questions 😬 my partner and my vaccines were booked on the same day so if anyone asks I'm just going to say I have the exact same reaction as him! Hopefully he's ok with it. Hopefully you have a bit of immunity anyway now with having had it. Totally know what you mean about miscarrying after scans, it gets to a point it's not reassuring anymore but I'll take what I can get. X

@Bundaberg84 amazing news! I'm really happy for you, good luck for the next check up. Will that be a scan?

@adelyra every other pregnancy I've ate beige, this time not at all 😵‍💫

That's a good idea! I am:
25
2yo LO
4th pregnancy 😳
LMP 20/04/21 and EDD just now 4th Feb but that's definitely a bit out!
Basically no symptoms and early scan at EPAS later this week 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 really nervous.

littlelionroars · 08/06/2021 16:38

Here are my stats:
36 yo
Based in Bucks
1 son aged 3.5
1 miscarriage in Feb & 1 chemical pregnancy in March
First day of last period 27.04
EDD 04.02
No appointments booked yet as I can only self refer after 6 weeks (so this coming Friday)
Planning on booking a early scan for the w/c 28 June
Symptoms: Tiredness, sore boobs and bloating, but mostly still feeling quite normal.

Bundaberg84 · 08/06/2021 16:44

@minthumbugs yes, a scan tomorrow, and another one on Monday :)

Adelyra · 08/06/2021 16:59

@littlelionroars sorry you've had a rough year. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for a healthy and sticky bean.

Trinacham · 08/06/2021 17:34

30 yo
1st pregnancy
first day of last period 30.04
EDD 04.02
Early scan not yet booked but hoping 23.06
Symptoms: nothing really yet! Did have tender boobs, they are perhaps a bit more swollen than usual

NorthernMammy · 08/06/2021 17:40

Hi @Sunshine8888 and @stripytiger09!

Hi @Adelyra

I'm 29, first pregnancy, 7 weeks today. Feeling reasonably ok, a bit sick when I eat and a bit achy.

Had to tell my boss today as I work with challenging children so she needs to risk assess it. Felt very weird saying it out loud!

Lollipop25 · 08/06/2021 18:10

Hey @minthumbugs took my last CB Digital finally 3+ so I'm done testing. Good luck with your scan☺️

So my stats @Adelyra

I'm 38
Have DD10 and DS8
Pregnancy no 5
Currently 6 weeks 4 days🤞🤞
Last mc feb gone
LMP 23 rd April (33 day cycle )
EDD 2nd Feb 2020
Think I ovulated late so not sure bout that EDD
No scan booked
Just tired, little nauseous at times and tender boobs.

Adelyra · 08/06/2021 18:15

I love seeing the larger age gaps, it normalises my experience! 😂

I didn't feel ready until September 2020.

My son was a delight day time but had colic crying and was a shocking sleeper for the longest time. I frankly have a form of PTSD from both. Even thinking about those long nights makes my throat feels tight.

minthumbugs · 08/06/2021 18:50

@Bundaberg84 fab! That will be really nice, good luck.

@Lollipop25 amazing, yipeeee for 3+ weeks. I think the one I do before the scan I will just look at it quickly to check it actually flashes up saying pregnant and then put it away and not look at it! The scan is more accurate so will just wait and see. X

Awww @Adelyra, no 2 kids are the same so hopefully the next one is a perfect little sleeper and happy as larry. My LO (don't hate me!) was a brilliant sleeper and so chilled out as a newborn, don't know what the chances are of having another laidback bub!

littlelionroars · 08/06/2021 19:26

Thanks @Adelyra. Smile

I hear you about the larger age gaps, my son was not (and still isn't) a great sleeper. I also have very little support as our family all live overseas. I still have some serious moments of doubts about how we're going to cope with a second and a fear of the sleep deprivation to come.

Not to mention the traumatic birth experience. Hoping for an elective caesarean this time around. Confused

Adelyra · 08/06/2021 19:39

@littlelionroars

You don't need to hope for an ELCS, you just need to be firm and undeterred! They will try and put you off!

I had an ELCS because my monkey was breech at due date. It's quite a calm composed way to give birth really. They will tell you the risks etc, but they don't give you the comparative risks. Vaginal childbirth isn't without its foibles.

I'll be going VBAC if things present well and I can have a low intervention birth or ELCS if I have another acrobat.

This pregnancy I will refuse to: give out my weight/be weighed/have my BMI calculated (unless they actually need to know to administer medication/anaesthetics), decline to have a ECV and decline to be induced.

Sunshine8888 · 08/06/2021 19:58

I'm 33
Have DD 14 months
Pregnancy no 2
Currently 5 weeks 3 days I think
LMP 01 May 2021
EDD 05 Feb 2022
No idea when I ovulated really as first cycle of mini pill so dates could be wrong
No scan booked .. yet

Sunshine8888 · 08/06/2021 19:59

Oh and I am exhausted!! My brain is foggy. Plus fluctuating between starving hungry and needing to eat like every hour and then feeling a bit sick. Exactly like with my first except this didn’t happen so early!
