@May2311 it’s funny what the mind does! I have felt so sick since waking and kept telling myself it was all in my head. Did a test just to stop myself overthinking and nope, definitely a line!

Soexciting · 27/03/2021 19:25

@ButtonTum I have told my parents and brother. My mum didn't react but dad and brother were excited. I think we will tell in laws tomorrow or over Easter.
It's my second but reactions were the same last time. My mum is weird...DH also has the mildest reactions ever. They both dote on DD now she is here though.

BeastOfBODMAS · 27/03/2021 20:19

@ButtonTum I haven’t told anyone yet, my parents are in the middle of moving house and stressed out so I want to save the news until they’ve got the brainspace to be excited

3rd is exciting, don’t feel awkward you don’t have to let on it was a surprise!

I feel I need to start preparing witty responses for lockdown baby comments. Anyone got any ideas?

May2311 · 27/03/2021 20:56

@ButtonTum no we haven't told anyone yet. We will probably tell my parents around 8-10 weeks ( think we did it after booking in appt last time). Try not to feel awkward as I'm sure they will be thrilled for you but I know what you mean as my best friend has been trying for ages and I'm worried upsetting her. Xxx

Rebsy1991 · 28/03/2021 07:38

I’ve told my two best friends. My mum has a brain tumour (incurable) so I’m not sure how she will take the news. She will be happy for us but she will be very sad that she won’t get to spend the time she would want with new baby. I’ll have to speak to my dad first to see how to approach it.

We will probably tell other half’s parents after 8 week scan xx

@Rebsy1991 I'm so sorry to hear that. I think that's a good idea seeing if your dad has any ideas first.

On the mention of 8 week scan - is anyone else having an early one? I didn't last time and probably won't again unless I get worried about something.

Xx

Rebsy1991 · 28/03/2021 09:41

@May2311 yer I will just to put my mind at ease! And make the wait until the 12 week a bit easier!

I did another test this morning and compared to the one I did Friday it’s much darker! Think this one is sticky 🙏

Looks pretty solid @Rebsy1991 !

@May2311 I'm booking one tomorrow for when I'll be 8w, I had lots of scans with DD after a MMC in between DS and her. I guess I'm superstitious and a natural worrier (I know early scans can also do the opposite of putting mind at ease!)

KJJD · 29/03/2021 07:07

Morning all, does anyone track their BBT? I've continued to, and temp been consistently high at 36.9, but today I've had a sudden wee dip to 36.7. Making me nervous that it's an early sign of miscarriage :(

Rebsy1991 · 29/03/2021 07:25

@KJJD no I’ve never done that! Maybe do another test to make sure the line is still strong? Try not to worry I’m sure it’s nothing!

OP posts:
KJJD · 29/03/2021 08:10

@Rebsy1991 I did another test just yesterday, one of the CB how many weeks ones. It was a definite preggo at 2-3 weeks :( hoping it sticks

Rebsy1991 · 29/03/2021 08:28

@KJJD ah don’t panic then! Maybe stop temping if it’s making you more anxious. Just try and enjoy it.. I know it’s easier said than done!

OP posts:
Soexciting · 29/03/2021 10:54

@KJJD I stopped temping. It's not a reliable indicator of miscarriage and it causes so much anxiety. Try to forget about your temps. Even so a 0.2 drop is nothing. If you are using FF and you are above the cover line you are golden.

Soexciting · 29/03/2021 10:58

@KJJD I use the Ava bracelet and it turns the temperature off after a BFP.
I had drops all over the place between implantation and my BFP. I hope I wasn't dismissive in my first message I know how scary it all is. But I think when you are pregnant your hormones mean it's not reliable anymore.

KJJD · 29/03/2021 11:35

@Rebsy1991 @Soexciting you're right, (and definitely not dismissive, clear and to the point is good!) thank you. I have put the thermometer away and will just take things as they come. What will be will be

Rebsy1991 · 29/03/2021 11:53

@KJJD there’s so many tinges and cramps and any little thing that gets our minds racing. Best to keep them at a minimal!

I’ve booked my scan for 23rd April I’ll be 7+6 , we are meant to have a girls day 24th so I figured if I get the scan then and all looks okay I’ll just tell them so I can enjoy my day and not have to pretend to be drinking ect ect!

Hi! December 1st here.

Just catching up on the thread. I have a one year old already. We had an early scan last time at six weeks but it caused more worry than it did good as they couldn't find a heartbeat at the first appointment. Went back a week later and there it was and clearly everything was fine as he's sat beside me right now! So if anyone is planning an early scan be careful with just how early you go (or be prepared for an internal scan) Blush

No one knows our news yet, will keep it to ourselves for a few weeks. Not looking forward to the nausea assuming it's the same as last time Confused

Rebsy1991 · 29/03/2021 19:09

@flowersatthecastle congrats!

I had one at 8 weeks last time so baby was a bit more developed! I can imagine that would of been very stressful not seeing a heartbeat!

Would anyone be interested in joining a private Facebook group? It’s a bit easier than navigating this site and can ask any questions or worries in there?

I’ve set up a Facebook group so if you want to join send me a DM with your full name and a rough description of your profile photo so I can find and add you 😊

Hi everyone! I found out on last week I’m expecting number 2, due December.

I’d love to join Rebsy, I’m in one for my DS and it’s been an amazing support! I’ll message you

ButtonTum · 29/03/2021 20:32

I'd love to join a Fb group please @Rebsy1991 :) not sure how to dm on here though Blush

flowersatthecastle · 29/03/2021 20:57

@ButtonTum I don't think you can on the app (if that's what you're using). You'd have to go on the website and then click the three dots on one of Rebsy's posts then "PM" Smile

BeastOfBODMAS · 29/03/2021 23:23

Ooh yes please I have sent you a DM

Rebsy1991 · 29/03/2021 23:35

@ButtonTum I’ve sent you a PM, just reply :)

Hey 👋
Joining you all as I’m expecting number 3 around 2nd Dec. Still feeling very tentative as I’m an ahem older mum, will be 44 by the time Dec rolls around. I have two DD aged 13&14 😱 I’m just catching up on the thread now... any other over 40s here? Am I mad?!?

I’ll DM you to join the FB group @Rebsy1991!
