I wanted to but feel it's jinxing it a bit. Also work in a public facing role and would hate for someone to find out before I can tell my boss.

LikeSomeKindOfMadness · 06/03/2021 08:34

Not saying you're jinxing it by the way. I just feel it's so early for me still with having barely missed my period. It's mostly the worry of someone knowing at this point though.

mrssunshinexxx · 06/03/2021 08:58

That's okay whenever you feel ready @LikeSomeKindOfMadness

Yeah I’d like to give it a few weeks. My period is only 2 days late and even though I had really strong positives and am exhausted with sore boobs - I really am expecting my period every time I go to the toilet 🙈

MissDaniB · 06/03/2021 09:06

I have insonmia! Didn’t realise this was a symptom. Thought I was going mad!

LikeSomeKindOfMadness · 06/03/2021 09:42

Thank you @mrssunshinexxx I definitely will join in a bit once I wouldn't feel too bad abut people knowing.

@MissDaniB mine has come back too. Absolutely shattered but wide awake for random hours in the night.

MissDaniB · 06/03/2021 09:48

Yes this! I’ve been up since around 5am this morning but I’d never normally be up that early, let alone on a Saturday!

mrssunshinexxx · 06/03/2021 14:54

@LikeSomeKindOfMadness oh yes the pregnancy insomnia it's so fun isn't it!!

Hello, due in November too. Smile xx

J300 · 07/03/2021 21:37

I have been TTC for 4months and I have tested positive on four tests now. ( i took several as I am paranoid it wasn’t real) this will be my first pregnancy.
So far the only symptoms is sore boobs and vivid dreams. I have also noticed I can’t seem to keep hold of things and I keep dropping everything. It is very annoying. I have taken a due date calculator which says due 10th Nov. I called docs last week who passed me details over to a midwife but I haven’t heard back yet. I hope this doesn’t take too long! Only my partner and me know so far and I’d like my mum to be aware as we are real close. But i don’t want to mention until I have been seen.

LikeSomeKindOfMadness · 08/03/2021 10:27

Hello @Jax27 and @J300 !

LikeSomeKindOfMadness · 08/03/2021 10:27

And congratulations. Sorry, posted too soon. Smile

Whuut · 08/03/2021 11:14

Hey can I join too? Got BFP on Friday, first month TTC and second baby. Nipples are so sore and tingly, doesnt help that I'm still breastfeeding DS 20m. So so tired and constantly hungry- like seriously want to eat everything! Sense of smell is so sensitive and the most random things are making me feel sick- most recently my pillow on the bed?!

mrssunshinexxx · 08/03/2021 11:38

@Whuut congratulations
We are similar also pregnant with no2 and still BF lo x

Im over a week late from period now.Very sore boobs which mostly affect me when I am trying to sleep. I keep waking in the night too where I am usually someone who can sleep right through until my alarm!

Whuut · 08/03/2021 21:00

@mrssunshinexxx I'm finding the feeding hard as my nipples are so sore, which I never got first time round actually. Does your first sleep well? My DS doesnt and I keep thinking we must be mad to donit again already 😂

I'm getting a bit of insomnia too, when DS(still in our bed) wakes up at night I'm finding it really hard to get back to sleep. Very annoying as he doesnt sleep well anyway so I'm knackered!

AthersB · 08/03/2021 21:42

Hi all, Hope you don't mind me joining? I got a bfp today at 10dpo so crossing my fingers it progresses!

mrssunshinexxx · 09/03/2021 07:08

@Whuut I sleep trained gently at 6 months because when the 4 month sleep regression hit she was waking every 50/60 minutes throug the night and I honestly thought I was going to die of sleep deprivation I did about 8 weeks of it and couldn't cope any longer. She now sleeps tbrough8-7.15 ish every night she's only 8 months but I hope it lasts. My nipples are normal so far I'm hoping to tandem feed d

I have cramps still just think it’s the baby settling in well I did ring the hospital and they said as long as there’s no blood then it’s nothing to worry about it’s probably your uterus stretching. I also have tender boobs and really tender nipples they seem a lot bumpier!

Can’t wait to go to my scan on the 26th March xxx

AthersB · 09/03/2021 12:23

Hi all, how soon after you bfp did you contact your GP/midwife?

Whuut · 09/03/2021 12:34

@AthersB Congrats and welcome! I rang my GP yesterday as I had to re register due to moving recently but also told them about the pregnancy and self referred to the midwife. I'd say give them a ring whenever you like and they'll book the appt for you when needed.

@KLR2019 I've had slight cramping too, same as last time. Your scan is soon, that's so exciting!

@mrssunshinexxx Oh wow that sounds like a dream! We tried most things with DS but have realised hes just not a great sleeper! Night weaning at 17m did help slightly and he now only wakes once or twice unless teething. At our worst he was waking every 15/45mins.. I also thought I was going to die! Sending lots of sleepy vibes to this new baby and praying it's some kind of unicorn but also knowing I dont make babies that sleep 😂

mrssunshinexxx · 09/03/2021 13:05

Straight away @AthersB

They are all so different so don't give up home 😉 there's definitely a few things I'll do differently with this little one but I think second ones are likely to be abit more chilled because they don't get that one to one that a first does (not loved any less of course !)
