Fantastic news LT!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many weeks are you now?

I'm 10 weeks today, it feels great to be into double figures. Another frined of mine just announced she is pregnant so that three of us due in the summer.

sophiewd · 02/11/2007 10:44

Oh Looney, so happy for you and your family. Good luck with the rest of pregnancy and Oftsed.

looneytune · 02/11/2007 10:59

Thanks

G43 - I'm measuring 6+5 which is exactly a week more than last Friday My little bean measures 9mm and has a little heartbeat, quite amazing really

Off to eat as been hungry but not been up to eating so need to make up for that

josey · 02/11/2007 11:13

Looney Congrats very very happy for you, hope all goes well with Ofsted. Sorry to hear about you DH.

Debs wow have a fantasic time looks like bliss.

G43 what a beauty your DD1 is you must be very proud.

I feel completely yuck today, its like something is at the back of my throat making me gag and nothing tastes nice. I had a falling out with DS on the way to school and cryed my way back home. My have a face like and award winning piza this morning, so looking forward to kids in bed me on the sofa with lots of crisps and chocolate if they taste any good by then!

ChinaSurprise · 02/11/2007 11:51

Woooooooooo! LT that's fantastic! Am so pleased for you. It's truly wonderful news.

Thanks to all for the congrats re the job. It's going to be more work just at a time when I'm knackered, but I'm so looking forward to it I don't care. Not sure my new boss will feel the same when I give him the news after Xmas... although, like TS and needahand , I'm already struggling to fit into my clothes so hiding it's going to be fun.

Finally, to all worrying about mc I read something last night which cheered me up no end. After a heartbeat has been confirmed on a scan, statistically the chance of mc drops to 3 per cent. That's right 3 per cent. It was buried in this book.

Oh, and had my pre-booking group chat at the clinic today and the midwife was utterly lovely.

Har · 02/11/2007 11:56

Looney - what WONDERFUL news!!! Posted on the old thread by mistake this morning and was very nervous that you weren't saying anything, but here good news was waiting hours ago!!! So pleased for you!!!

Josey, so sorry about your horrible day. Fingers crossed the chocolate is as delicious as you need it to be!

Hello to everyone else , congratulations on job promotions, healthy babies, spa visits , new nicknames and very pretty Monsoon model daughters! Haven't time to go through everything properly as just popping on (and was catching up on the old thread instead .)

xxx

looneytune · 02/11/2007 11:58

Har - I saw it but it wouldn't let me post a reply as the thread has got too big (never seen that before )

Thanks to EVERYONE for all your support, seriously, I'm sure your good vibes helped my little bean fight

needahand · 02/11/2007 12:31

Looney congratulations, you must be soooo relieved. I can't wait to have my scan as my pgy doesn't really feel real. It is only when I see the scan that the penny might actually drop.

sophiewd · 02/11/2007 13:44

With you on that one needahand very at all the ladies who have been scanned have between 5 and 7 weeks for mine which will be first one.

looneytune · 02/11/2007 14:11

needahand - I know, it's weird isn't it. Well, I DID feel pregnant and then all symptoms just vanished nearly 2 weeks ago and then the next day is when the bleeding started. I'm so relieved to FINALLY see all is ok!

sophiewd - I only got my scan early because of bleeding, pains, loss of symptoms and previous mc. I had to wait all the way til 20 weeks with ds which was very worrying as straight after mc but didn't show signs of problems so that was it. Luckily I think they scan in this area at 12 weeks now so I'm hoping for another scan in about 5/6 weeks.

looneytune · 02/11/2007 14:17

needahand · 02/11/2007 14:41

Looney I didn't realise we are due on the same EDD! Are you showing at all yet are any of the other mners due at about the same time showing yet. I think I am and I promise I didn't eat all the pies.

dylansluckymum · 02/11/2007 14:49

so pleased for you looney and echo everything har said about "job promotions, healthy babies, spa visits (double ), new nicknames"! and g43 your dd looks gorgeous as always! it's lovely to come on and read so much happy news.

one of my best friends in canada that i grew up with has not such great news... she has aggressive melanoma and is dying of cancer. obviously we've known for a while but it's getting a lot worse in the past week or two. she has an 8 month old daughter and they think the pregnancy possibly sped up the spread of the cancer. she's only 31. if anyone is interested in taking a look at her website and maybe signing the guest register, it's www.loveforcrystal.com. i think she really likes to have people she doesn't know give her some well wishes as she likes to think that at the very least she's making others aware of the dangers of the sun and melanoma. if anyone wanted to send some positive vibes and prayers from england i'm sure it would brighten her day. (my name is susan if you want to say how you found out about her story).

it would be wonderful if everyone gives your little ones (and/or your bump-to-be) and partner an extra special hug and kiss today and think of her and i'm sure she'll feel all the extra love flowing her way.

on a more positive note from my side i'm feeling really good, ds has been sleeping great since we changed his cot into a bed, my energy levels aren't too bad and although my skin isn't quite as lovely as it was (i knew i shouldn't have bragged about it!!) it's bearable. i've been on a healthy eating kick and it's amazing the difference it makes. anyway off to the park with ds... hope to read more happy news when i check in later!!! x

PiggyPenguin · 02/11/2007 14:51

hey all, haven't posted for ages as haven't managed to get head out of toilet for long enough. Feel sick all day long but actually am sick in evening - also totally sympathise with Josey as also have horrid lump in back of throat making me feel even more sick - lovely.

Anyway, enough of my moaning, Looney - what totally fabulous news, am so relieved for you

dylansluckymum · 02/11/2007 14:52

sorry that was such a novel! crystal

goingfor3 · 02/11/2007 15:47

DLM I'm so shocked to hear your friends story. I never would have believed that skin cancer could be so aggresive. I really hope that a way to treat her and releive the pain her and her family are suffering can be found. I asume she is the friend you visited quite recently.

systemsaddict · 02/11/2007 16:14

So pleased for you looney - have tears in my eyes here, have been thinking of you today but this is the first chance I've had to log on. Saw other threads from you this week - what a week it's been, you needed good news today!!

digitalgirl · 02/11/2007 18:47

looney glad the scan went well today! Hold tight little bean!!

debinaustria · 02/11/2007 19:26

Looney YIPPEEEEEEEE, I'm so pleased for you, sitting here with tears in my eyes. You were so convinced weren't you, but that little bean is strong and wanted to be here! Are you still smiling?

DLM - So sorry for your friend, I will look at her site in a moment, and send her my best wishes, how terrible for her husband/partner.

everyone else, sorry I made you but I had a great day, shattered now though!!I did what I said though, wandered around, moaned to myself quietly, cooed over new babies, looked at mums with pregnant tums, floated in lovely warm water, swam a bit, played with the boys, and fell asleep on the water beds - woke myself up snoring on my back - in a room full of people!! We live on a winding road , managed to get in before I was sick, then just had to run again now - aargh!!!

ps dreamt about my 1st gynae appointment which I'm having on Monday. I've been to him before but in the dream I couldn't find the surgery, then he just talked to me, didn't examine me, didn't scan me and I was so upset!!

Huge huge huge congratulations to Looney I am soooo pleased for you after the rollercoaster of a couple of weeks you have had.
I bet you and DH are really relieved that your little bean is still there. Now you can relax and take it easy (as much as you can in your line of work). Hope DH is OK also with view to his impending redundancy. Let me know if I can offer any advice.
LL xx

imopop · 02/11/2007 20:01

Looney-Thats fantastic news!!!

sophiewd · 02/11/2007 20:03

Looney - sorry didn't mean to be insensitive, just don't feel pregnant, as all symptons disappeared after 4 days. Even took another pregnancy test before seeing midwife just incase had got it wrong.

DLM - your message just brings homw how lucky we all are on this thread.
