hiya folks!
At work clock watching just now, just want to get home to dh and dd. Knackered, coz wee one didn't sleep well last night, we swapped our rooms around so that she's now in the big room which will eventually become nursery for both.... and wee soul didn't know where she was when she woke up (she's usually a good sleeper). Anyway, had very broken night and been yawning all day.. and got visitors coming tomorrow night... eeek!
Lulubump, she sounds a bit.. em.... challenging??? agree with everyone else about the "is she really up the duff" idea... keep us posted, and no, YANBU!!!
have a groovy friday everyone, lolo xx
ps.. I like the new format.. i was too thick to understand the other one, it was like reading everything backwards!!

beller · 26/10/2007 15:57

Mrsmcspooky - i hope you get loads of help with the xmas dinner, will be good to be at home though

Neuro - glad you got signed off...kick you feet up and chill out..you will have your energy levels back in no time! xx

Mixedmamma- im almost dont now...!! only about 2 left to get! woo-hoo!

Also really annoyed at my mate..like i said before i was supposed to go to the wine show tonight with a bunch of friend. I told them at the beginning of the week that i didnt think i would be going as i had double booked and it was a)wine and b)would be on my feet most of the night...I know of 3 people that had asked my mate if we had any spares..and i overheard her saying no..so took it that she had sold my ticket. She has just come up to me and said she hasnt managed to sell it and wants the money?!?! Eh? She told one girl she couldnt have it as it was for her bf and she didnt want him coming..and told another one no..as shes not keen on her...not my fault! Shes been out to lunc and is a bit drunk, so cant be bothered to row..just really peeved off!
sorry rant over! hahaha

mixedmama · 26/10/2007 16:01

That is a bit ridiculous isnt it. What did you say to her?

beller · 26/10/2007 16:11

well just said that why did she say she didnt have one? she said..well she wasnt sure as she hadnt heard back from the first person, well just give it to the first person that said they def wanted it? Not rocket science.....oh well ...

MrsMcSpooky · 26/10/2007 16:22

Mixedmama ? I know but still worth a try I?m yet to pay a bank charge, even when I was a student, I appealed them all so I had nothing to even consider asking for back when the whole thing about charges kicked up!

Neuro ? nice to hear from you sorry to hear things have been getting on top of you lovely to have 3 weeks off but if it were my employer, they?d insist I start my mat leave if I was signed off now. Enjoy the time and do lots of nice things

Battymamma ? your poor DD, hope she recovers soon and sorry you are missing the night out

Ladies, I need help, I?ve just been told I have a christening to go to on 11/11 ? what the hell am I going to wear? The only smart things I have are a short black cocktail dress and a long one ? not really appropriate for a church at 10am on a Sunday morning

Have fun Gingeme

Hope you have a better night tonight Ayrshirelolo

Your friend sounds like a bit of a pain Beller

Oohhhhhhhhhh my Boots mammoth order has just arrived

beller · 26/10/2007 16:29

sorry your dd isnt feeling well battymamma, hope shes better soon.
Who else is coming mixedmamma?
Im with all the other clock watchers! xx

MrsMcSpooky · 26/10/2007 16:30

Oh meant to say ? consultants told me this morning that I need to have an appointment with anesthetics so that they are aware of me and my blood issues and also, I?ll have to see them when I come into the labour ward ? it?s going to be my ex isn?t it?! He?s great and we are friends but there is still something there for both of us so we don?t catch up much, I?d be mortified if he saw me in labour!

beller · 26/10/2007 16:40

oh dear Mrsmcspooky! Sometimes the wold is far too small eh?!

mixedmama · 26/10/2007 16:44

That would be so embarrassing.

Beller it you and I, nicky6 and toomanyshoes. There was someone called cressida at the beginning but have not heard from her since and cant remember if she was this thread or december thread.

fluffymummy · 26/10/2007 17:12

Mrs Mc - there's some lovely stuff in Mamas & Papas that isn't too much money (I might have popped in there at lunchtime as well today!) - in particular there's a really pretty, slightly dressy wrap-around cardigan that's knitted (sort of Missoni-style, if you know what I mean) with purple, gold, grey, brown and white stripes. So its a tiny bit glitzy but would look ace over a pair of black trousers or black skirt (knee length or long)and you could just stick a cheap vest underneath in one of the matching/toning colours. Actually, you could possibly wear it over one of your dresses...

It cost £30 (and yes, I might have bought it on impulse!!)

MrsMcSpooky · 26/10/2007 18:14

thanks Fluffy will check it out.

FrankAwenstein · 26/10/2007 23:19

Good morning ladies. How did the meet up go? Hope you all didnt suffer with too bad heartburn last night after your currys

mixedmama · 27/10/2007 13:15

just thought i would say hi....

nicky6 · 27/10/2007 14:45

Really nice to meet last night we wont hear from beller yet she will be catching up on her Heroes dose.
Curry was lovely although i absolutely stink of garlic!!!
Glad everyone got back safe.

Naetha · 27/10/2007 15:31

I could murder a curry!!

sabinar · 27/10/2007 15:39

glad to hear curry was good. Sounds like a fun night

i have a very boring weekend of working ahead of me... snuck out to yoga this morning which was good, but now firmly entrenched behind the computer working away, listening to DH watch rubbish on TV.

hope you are all having much more relaxing and enjoyable weekends!

toomanyshoes · 27/10/2007 20:39

Hello, curry was great but have spent all day today vomiting so not sure the baby was so keen! Can't keep anything down and DD has spent entire day jumping on my head and pinching my emergency throwing up bucket! Ah the joys of being ill when in charge of a toddler
Hope you are all feeling much less grotty than me x

Naetha · 27/10/2007 22:13

Sounds like you had a fun night - all this talk of curry made me absolutely crave one so much I had to have a takeaway tonight, and I've been having BH contractions ever since! I hope I haven't set anything off lol!

Babato · 27/10/2007 23:19

Evening ladies
I know it is quiet on here at the weekends but I haven't had a chance to chat before now!!
Had very infuriating day with Mum, Aunt and cousin who decided to ask what names we were thinking about for the LO. We have pretty much decided on Chloe for a girl or Aidan for a boy and while Chloe was popular with the family members they all poured scorn on Aidan...very frustrating since I did not actually ask for their opinion. Is it just me or is it not quite rude for people to pass judgement on such a personal thing??? Oohh rant over!!
Anyway it was then quite funny as they asked me about middle names and when I said Craig for a boy my mum asked what the relevance of that was which is quite bizarre as it is my brother's name surely that relevance should have been self explanatory!!
Anyway cheered myself up by going shopping - DH clearly not too impressed with me spending on maternity clothes which he pointed out I will only be able to wear for the next couple of months...but sometimes a girl just needs to shop.
Counting the days til I finish work on Fri, although my boss did mention in passing the other day that I could just come back for a day to help interview for my replacement One of my colleagues joked that I won't be able to go on mat leave until I have found my own replacement. The thing is I have harped on about it for months and my boss kept saying 'plenty of time'...guess that's come back to haunt them now!!!
Sorry ladies...I have gone on for ages tonight. Hope you have all had a fab weekend...esp the extra hour we are getting in bed (if we can actually sleep)
Sounds like you London ladies had a blast on Fri night...Enjoy your Sunday
