@Fourleafclover93 TMI but today my discharge is yellow?? Consistency of egg white but not as stretchy... is this normal after the spotting, did you have this??

Fourleafclover93 · 11/02/2021 17:20

@Fourleafclover93 I've had that for weeks, even before I had sex. No idea if it's normal sorry.

If you got a scan after you were bleeding and everything was fine I wouldn't worry

GummyBear91 · 11/02/2021 22:03

Hi everyone.

I'm 7w2d at the moment with my first. Due around 28th Sept. Trying to keep as level headed as possible at the moment. No signs that anything is wrong but it's a daily worry. I'm trying to hold off an early scan for now and wait it out until 12 weeks but the wait is so long!!

Tiredness and nausea is relentless. I really hope it eases once this trimester is overHmm

MWNI · 11/02/2021 23:11

@GummyBear91 congrats! It's my first too - I'm 10+5 - I'm holding out to the 12 weeks. I totally get why people book early scans but I was happy to wait and just see. Try not to worry too much and if you can't help it then maybe book it to ease your worry.

GummyBear91 · 12/02/2021 16:15

@MWNI congrats!!

I just can't wait for this exhaustion to pass. So tired all of the time... Also, I already look 12 weeks pregnant because I'm so bloated all of the time. Can you pop pregnant women with a pin?

MWNI · 12/02/2021 17:12

@GummyBear91 haha if only. My bloating comes at night mainly. Wake up with my normal belly and by the end of the day I look 5 months pregnant ha

I have the harmony test tomorrow! Then the 2 week result wait begins.

Fourleafclover93 · 15/02/2021 10:43

Just wondered if everyone's had a booking appointment? I'm 8 weeks and been told mine won't be for another 2-3 weeks because they are very busy. I'm now worried that my 12 week scan will be late. I know it can happen upto 14 weeks but from my last pregnancy they don't refer you until after a booking appointment so seems like it will be cutting it fine

GummyBear91 · 15/02/2021 11:24

@Fourleafclover93 I have my booking appointment on Friday so I would be 8w3d. This is also happening face to face which I understand is unusual as many are over the phone at the moment.

My doctor has also already requested a 12 week scan (date not yet known) but I know the request has gone in as I asked the other day at the surgery.

Sounds like it might be a county issue. Where are you based?

Fourleafclover93 · 15/02/2021 13:36

@GummyBear91 I'm in Scotland and it's over the phone. They phoned me 2 hours ago saying they had a cancellation and was it a suitable time. I was out walking with a friend so it wasn't. She then said she might phone me back later if not it will be next week.

So thats better than 2-3 weeks time. They don't give a day or time they just phone whenever suits them which isn't really ideal.

Thats good yours is in person I'd prefer that

Tipptopgirl · 15/02/2021 15:22

@Fourleafclover93 my booking app was at 5 weeks 3 days, I was an eager beaver šŸ˜‚ had it face to face (im in IRL). Got my bloods done then too to cut down on appointments šŸ‘
I had my scan at 10 weeks then again at 10+1 after the spotting and I got my date for my 13 week scan the other day which will be my real proper first scan so to speak and then after that Il have my anomaly scan around 21-24 weeks as far as I know. I have a doc app tho at 17 weeks which will be face to face too (doppler etc I presume) xxx

Fourleafclover93 · 15/02/2021 18:10

@Tipptopgirl very organised!! Mines late because they told me not to go through a booking appointment until I had an early scan and made sure everything was okay after previous mcs.

Midwife text to say she is phoning me later on this week so feel better now

Joanna1009 · 18/02/2021 07:58

Hi ladies may I join this group?

I'm due September 10th (my eldest's 16th birthday!) so I'm currently 10 weeks 6 days.

Had my booking in appointment last week (and came away a bit sad as I'm high risk for so much which takes away some of my choices). Also had a scan 2 days ago for a bleed from on top of my amniotic sac but baby is fine apparently thank goodness. Seemed to like waving arms around! Any idea where my placenta is?? Thank you!

Hi all,

Could I join this group too please?

I’m 11 weeks today due early Sept.
First baby so all very new, exciting and terrifying haha.

Had my booking appt last week and because I’m over 30 and a high BMI ive got to have many more tests etc. Does anyone else find BMI a bit outdated? Like I’m very healthy, eat well, exercise, low blood pressure etc but because I’m a bit chunky I’m high bmi haha. But better safe than sorry and more tests can only be good thing! Just feeling blue that because I’m not thin to begin with I’ll probs be a whale 🐳 at the end haha

I’ve got my 12 week scan next week and nervous about the screenings. But can’t wait to start telling people soon!

How’s everyone feeling? I’m very bloated all the and sooo tired xxx

Lexie88 · 18/02/2021 10:28

Hiya! Aww I went for early scan too as had some bleeding, it’s such a relief isn’t it seeing the little one! Aww yeh they’re waving hehe xx

This was meant to reply to @Joanna1009, must have done it wrong :)
FTEngineerM · 18/02/2021 10:32

@Lexie88 yeah totally, with my last DC they recorded high BMI 34.5 (I think and 35 puts us at high risk) at booking then it wasn’t mentioned other than one consultant I saw for something else saying ā€˜ensure bmi calculated at 36 weeks as highly likely will be over threshold’ but I wasn’t, I not that anyone checked the bmi of a massively pregnant woman Grin. It didn’t change anything at all, I did go doctors early this time to get extra folic acid though, just in case.

AdventuresAwait · 18/02/2021 10:36

Hi everyone. Can I join too please?

@Joanna1009, I'm due 10th September too! 10+6 today with first pregnancy! Great pics. I had one last week, it's so lovely to see little one isn't it? They told me my placenta was at the front. I'm not sure by looking at the pics, sorry!

AdventuresAwait · 18/02/2021 10:39

@Lexie88 I'm over 30 and have a high BMI so was told the same. Taking more folic acid and given aspirin for when I get to 12 weeks.
I feel the same...

Ahh good yeh as can just imagine BMI will just go up and up throughout it. Nice to hear that doesn’t really change many things

Tipptopgirl · 18/02/2021 14:11

Girls has anyone had orange coloured gluey stretchy discharge???

Tipptopgirl · 18/02/2021 19:09

Went to the doctors and she wasnt concerned but done a swab to rule out any infection. Twice today I have had 2 small bits of brown and im really hoping it stops soon there isnt much and its only every few loo trips but its clearly old blood and I just want it to be finished being cleared out asap so i can relax!!

FTEngineerM · 18/02/2021 19:13

I don’t know how far along you are @Tipptopgirl but it’s definitely common to have brown ā€˜old blood’ type discharge at this stage. I had it at 11.5 weeks last time and panicked turned out to be nothing.

Tipptopgirl · 19/02/2021 09:35

@FTEngineerM im 11+3! So it should be pretty ok then. Did you cramp with it? How long did it last? Xx

indigo27 · 19/02/2021 10:15
