Anyone else out there?! Very excited but super early days so haven’t got anyone else to share this news with!

My second pregnancy and birth didn't go to plan but was handled fantastically. I had moved between pregnancies so it was a completely different hospital and the care, staff and the hospital itself was amazing so looking forward to going back there again.

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 21:14

@buntingandstarcharts I have two boys aged 5 and 7 so 2.5 years between and same pregnancy (well apart from my failed vbac).
Errm.. the one thing I wanted a lot of was sex on both pregnancies ☺️☺️ up to the night before I went into labour I had sex (sorry tmi). I was two weeks late on first and nine days late on second.

Now my boobs/nipples are sore, constant background cramps not serious but still there around my left side, funny taste in my mouth, I only want to eat rice or nothing. This all started or got worse around 6 weeks. I'm exhausted but that can be explained by the blood loss. And no I DO NOT want to have sex 😆😆
My husband is so relieved as I guess he was probably thinking oh dear another eight long months 😂😂

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 21:15

@buntingandstarcharts I went to St. George's open day 10 years ago and loved it. Great to hear it is a fab hospital.

KJ1984 · 16/10/2020 23:27

@buntingandstarcharts I’m around 6 weeks and no symptoms yet, except a dry mouth ALL the time!

ExcitedFirstTimeMummy · 18/10/2020 11:21

Hey!!

I found out 2 days ago I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant, according to the NHS calculator I'm due on 14th June 2020 Smile

The only symptoms I've had is extremely sore boobs! I got my coil removed on the 21st July and I wasn't expecting anything this quick!

Excited to share and see everyone's journey along with mine Smile

Mishmased · 18/10/2020 11:47

@ExcitedFirstTimeMummy many congratulations. Pregnancy is a really exciting time and first time is just so exciting.

binkybunny · 18/10/2020 17:44

Congratulations @excitedFirstTimeMummy it is lovely and definitely enjoy it as much as you can. We are due date buddies at the moment too, but I'm not entirely 100%!

binkybunny · 18/10/2020 17:47

I am having serious cramping and lots of discharge today. I had to take paracetamol for the stomach pains as we went out for a walk for DD1s birthday and couldn't bear the thought of walking so far without.

I think this is normal ish at 6 weeks though isn't it? I seem to remember having similar with DD2 probably around the same time but guess I just need some reassurance. I'm so scared I'm going to MC again Sad

Garman · 18/10/2020 19:00

It is normal to have some cramping but so difficult to relax with it at the time!

binkybunny · 18/10/2020 19:36

Im just fearing the worst, I have back ache too and these were the first signs last time. It may of course be nothing but I just feel so worried. DD1 guessed i was pregnant as she heard is talking. I don't know how to tell her if we lose it. I really hate this very early stage!

Mishmased · 18/10/2020 20:21

Try and rest. Hope it settles soon.

binkybunny · 19/10/2020 06:39

So the cramping stopped last night but has started again this morning and I have lost the sickness I felt for the last 2 mornings and my boobs are no longer sore, so I guess it's just a matter of waiting now Sad

buntingandstarcharts · 19/10/2020 13:12

Hi everyone, I had an early scan at what I thought was 7 weeks. They've dated me at 6 weeks and 1 day. It just doesn't make sense as I know when I ovulated (I should I say I know when I had my lh surge) due to tracking my cycles for 6 months. Can anyone shed any light on this? Any info greatly received! All it says online is how accurate early dating scans are!

KJ1984 · 19/10/2020 18:21

@ExcitedFirstTimeMummy welcome and congratulations! 😃

@binkybunny I know it’s so easy to read into symptoms, or lack of, but things like morning sickness and cramping can come and go, and every pregnancy is different. Is there anywhere private near you that you can book for an early scan? I’ve got zero symptoms now and for peace of mind, I’m going to get an early scan next week.

@buntingandstarcharts my dating scan in my last pregnancy dated me a week later than I’d calculated going by my ovulation, and I was tracking it closely. I think it can also be affected by when implantation happens which can vary by around a week or more!

North1982 · 19/10/2020 19:41

Hello! Hope it’s ok for me to join the thread- I’m 7+1 with baby three and really struggling with nausea and sickness 🤢😕.

Mishmased · 20/10/2020 15:04

@buntingandstarcharts are you 7weeks from your LMP?
@binkybunny how are you today?
@North1982 hello 😁

Garman · 20/10/2020 15:16

Hi everyone, hope you're all good Smile

I went to my gp, spoke with a nice senior midwife I know from my last pregnancy and am feeling a lot happier about the situation for now. Head of midwifery is arranging a meeting for me with a specific midwife and we'll go from there to see how they can help me. Gp is contacting the maternity psychologist there also to get them on my side too. It's a definite weight lifted for now.

Symptoms wise I'm fine, not quite nauseous yet but gone off everything except toasted sandwiches which is standard for me in early pregnancy Grin Dying to tell someone, but will wait until after a private scan at 6/7 weeks.

Mishmased · 20/10/2020 15:59

@Garman that is so good to hear! Hopefully this time round is a much better experience all the way!

Garman · 20/10/2020 16:37

Fingers crossed anyway @Mishmased!

stickytoffeepud1991 · 20/10/2020 20:45

Excellent @Garman that’s very positive!!

How is everyone doing?
I’m only 5 weeks and don’t feel any different apart from my boobs are on another level of soreness! And I’ve gone of tea xxx

buntingandstarcharts · 20/10/2020 22:36

@Mishmased I am 7 weeks based on the day I ovulated which I am pretty certain of as I was tracking using opks and clearblue ovulation digital. Like someone has said it could be a long implantation time but who knows🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

buntingandstarcharts · 20/10/2020 22:37

@Garman same here / gone off anything with a strong taste, aka most things! Except toast and bread sticks! God help the weight gain 🤪🤪🤪

Mishmased · 21/10/2020 01:39

@buntingandstarcharts I think hospitals usually go by your last period. If you use the date of your last period how many weeks are you?
They do tend to move your dates back and forward sometimes.

emwantsbiscuits · 21/10/2020 06:42

@buntingandstarcharts I had an early scan too and it measured me earlier than I thought (6.4 rather than 7.2). I read on some mumsnet forums about early scans that from the pp’s experiences they often push back your dates because the baby is so small it’s hard to measure and that the 12 week scan is more accurate. Fingers crossed we are pushed forwards again at 12 weeks haha :)

buntingandstarcharts · 21/10/2020 06:57

@Mishmased of you go by my last period I would have been 6+5 so I guess a few days out. Thanks for everyone's support ❤️
