Anyone else out there?! Very excited but super early days so haven’t got anyone else to share this news with!

Hi everyone congrats! Lovely to see a lot of June 13 due date. It is a lovely day to have a baby and happens to be my birthday Grin

I'm coming up to 8 weeks and due date is June 1st just under two weeks before my 35th birthday, so geriatric pregnancy 😆
This will be my third as I have a 7 year old and a just turned 5 year old.

Maybe it is being a geriatric gestation but I've been having pains since getting pregnant. Never had hiccups or heartburn in the last two pregnancies. Also spotting on and off. Went to epu last week and I've got a sub chorionic hematoma so hoping it bleeds itself out or is reabsorbed in the body.
Gosh I'm exhausted just typing that out!
Hello again 😁

binkybunny · 15/10/2020 16:40

They do play lovely now but it can be very one sided with my 6 year old calling the shots and my youngest just running around squealing. It's very sweet though. My eldest is very patient but sometimes gets fed up, as I guess all siblings do.

Hi all, very tentatively joining in here. I'm just about 4 weeks, af would have been due tomorrow, got bfp on Monday, but I knew since last week tbh. We already have dc and didn't have any more planned because I had very traumatic experiences with hospital staff during both, so to say I'm terrified is an understatement. I'm going to see my gp tomorrow to see if they can offer any solutions, suggestions or comfort to me, so that I could actually start to be happy about this.

Feeling fine after an incredibly sick and crampy implantation last weekend! Sleeping badly but that's more to do with sheer panic than any physical symptoms keeping me awake.

I'll be 36 when this one is born (if it sticks around, it's still so early!), my dc are 5 and 3.

Mishmased · 15/10/2020 18:45

Hi @Garman congrats!

stickytoffeepud1991 · 15/10/2020 19:19

Hi everyone 💓

Just wondering if I can join? Very very early BFP at 11dpo 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I have a DD who is 3, 4 in December. If I am right il be due like 29/30th June so on the border!

Hope everyone is well xxx

binkybunny · 15/10/2020 19:39

Hi @Garman I've had two not great births so understand some of your concern. I had a debrief before getting pregnant last time which was really helpful and made me decided on travelling a bit further for a smaller town hospital than going to our main city ones. Neither experiences were related to the hospital staff as such and even though my second birth was a bit scary in the end, the staff were actually amazing. Hope you get some answers and find some comfort x

Garman · 15/10/2020 19:45

Thanks @binkybunny. I turned down a debrief because due to my experiences I don't trust the staff tbh, and unfortunately there isn't another hospital near enough that I could make it to for appointments with school drop off and collection. So I'm unfortunately kind of forced into choosing this hospital, whatever options there are will be tied to there Sad

KJ1984 · 15/10/2020 20:51

@Mishmased sorry to hear you’ve been having pains, as you’re 8 weeks now, could you get an early scan to check everything is ok?

@Garman congrats! I had a horrendous experience with my last birth at our local hospital so I’ve asked to have all my antenatal checks with the home birth team with the view to have a home birth if sally looking ok!

KJ1984 · 15/10/2020 20:52

*all looking ok, I’ve not named the baby Sally! 😅

KJ1984 · 15/10/2020 20:53

@stickytoffeepud1991 welcome and congratulations!

Garman · 15/10/2020 22:54

@KJ1984 a homebirth, the dream! Hope you get it, a few of my friends have had them recently. Unfortunately I'm not eligible for one otherwise I would definitely be going that route!

stickytoffeepud1991 · 15/10/2020 23:44

Thanks girls.
Going to say I do not envy any of you who have young ones at the moment, it’s taken me at least 3 years to think about having another as I had borderline psychosis with my DD which I think was caused by birth trauma.
Otherwise I probably would of just bit the bullet sooner.
She says as currently in DDs double bed cause she won’t sleep by herself 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
Xx

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 06:12

@KJ1984 thanks so much. I did have a scan last Friday and it showed I have a hematoma and that is what is causing the bleed/spotting. It should bleed out or be reabsorbed but it is so annoying as it randomly starts and stops (so pantyliner all the time) not to mention the low ebb pain. I told DH this is my punishment for deciding to have a third after two uneventful pregnancies haha.

Had to take my 5 year old for Covid test yesterday eve as a child in his bubble has Covid and he sits next to him. Should have result this evening or tomorrow.

How far along are you? Is this your first?x

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 06:15

@Garman sorry to hear about your experiences. Is it possible to request an elective section if you decide you want one?

Garman · 16/10/2020 06:21

@Mishmased yes I could request that, I previously have only had csections, not by choice. But its the entire process of dealing with them for the guts of a year I dread, not the birth itself. They had absolutely no time or concern for my mental wellbeing when birth trauma made my second pregnancy terrifying from the start.

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 06:27

@Garman that's tough. Can you talk to someone like a liaison person in the hospital? That must be awful, try and focus on the end result. Take one step at a time.x

Garman · 16/10/2020 06:33

@Mishmased thank you, yes I've emailed someone there but haven't heard anything back yet and am going to try another midwife who was very helpful to me during the birth last time. Fingers crossed.

SkittyKat · 16/10/2020 06:34

Hi can I join? I’m 4+6 after having a frozen embryo transfer IVF. This will be my third, I’ve got an 11 year old and 9 year old from a previous relationship. Due on 19th June.

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 07:14

@Garman that's great to hear. Also try to look at this experience in a new light. Hopefully they have had feedback and taken them onboard.

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 07:15

Hi @SkittyKat congrats and welcome.x

Garman · 16/10/2020 08:06

@Mishmased unfortunately that's what I did with my second, hoped for the best and explained what had happened and that I had ptsd after it, and they were actually much worse!

Congrats @SkittyKat Smile

Mishmased · 16/10/2020 09:42

@Garman that is worrying.x

MotherOfCrocodiles · 16/10/2020 16:24

@Garman that's awful, do you think you would feel better if you got booked in for an elective section? Might take away some uncertainty? After multiple sections they shout each willing, it is definitely the safest option (although I fear I will have a battle on my hands getting one biked here as my hospital are very anti c section)

MotherOfCrocodiles · 16/10/2020 16:25

Should be willing I mean!
