Anyone else out there?! Very excited but super early days so haven’t got anyone else to share this news with!

I've only realized on Wednesday night after waking up again in pain that I have SPD/ pelvic girdle pain. I'm only 9 weeks. I had it around 30 weeks on my last pregnancy but it wasn't too bad.
I went to an osteopath on Friday and had a great sleep on Friday night. I'm back to osteopath on Wednesday and once I go to hospital I will request to be seen by physio team. I'm not looking forward to this pain at all.

BurningBenches · 01/11/2020 08:58

Congratulations @raebo and @BellaKaur and welcome xx

BellaKaur · 01/11/2020 17:51

@BurningBenches thank you. Still sinking in. Cant wait to tell my daughter. Think i should at least wait until the 12 week mark. I'd love to take her with me but with Covid can't see that happening 😢

BurningBenches · 02/11/2020 11:14

@BellaKaur I'd planned to go alone to my 12wk scan. My letter does say you can bring someone but we have no one to watch baby DS or get the older ones from school so DH will need to stay home.

That's fine if all's ok, not sure about driving myself home if not, but will just cross that bridge if it happens.

I'm a little concerned that my letter also says that they may not be able to offer the down syndrome screening and so will have to hope on the day there is someone available as I'm 41 so high risk based on age, but with DS last year I was actually pretty low risk based on NT and bloods (1 in 1607 for DS and 1 in 100,000 for Edwards or Patau) If they can't they say to do the quad blood test at 16wks with MW.

NiPT/harmony etc are just so flipping expensive but I'll prob see if we can do that if NT not available.

charlottebs1988 · 03/11/2020 11:40

Hello, please can I join? I found out a couple of weeks ago that I am pregnant. I have an early scan tomorrow due to 3 previous MMCs so have severe scan anxiety 😬 xx

charlottebs1988 · 03/11/2020 11:41

Have you ladies set up a Facebook group?

BellaKaur · 03/11/2020 12:51

@BurningBenches omg i would be nervous too about the downs test as i am older too. Fingers crossed all will be fine.

@charlottebs1988 🙏🏽 praying and 🤞🏽that you will be fine 🥰. Not sure about a Facebook page?

I quite like we are anonymous on here, especially with it being early days.

Fuzzbuzz86 · 03/11/2020 17:20

@charlottebs1988 congrats, hope all went well with the scan today!

We don't have a FB group, I'm happy to set one up if any of you want to join? My last group was great for bump updates and questions and general support. It can also be on private setting so no one knows your part of the group.

@BurningBenches I'll also be going to the scan alone probably, they did say I could brink OH and DD (she's only 6 months) but i't would be a headache as they have to wait in a separate waiting room and then leave straight away. This whole Covid situation is crap.

Bella678 · 04/11/2020 21:57

How r u all getting on?

Changed my name (it weren't anonymous enough).

Raebo · 05/11/2020 17:19

Thanks @BurningBenches!

How's everyone doing?
I had an early scan out of the blue yesterday, due to some cramping that came on in the early hours. Having suffered an early miscarriage with my first pregnancy, and not being able to contact a GP or midwife for love nor money, I've been absolutely terrified!
Thankfully all seems well, and I'm just a little anaemic, so no dramas 😅 I'm also a week further along than expected...who knew?!

Sitchervice · 06/11/2020 15:34

I've started spotting again. Really worried

BurningBenches · 06/11/2020 15:58

Oh no @Sitchervice have you called anyone? How far along are you x

Sitchervice · 06/11/2020 16:13

@BurningBenches
I'm now around 9 week's this is the second lot of spotting I've had.
Last time I called my doctor they told me to stop worrying and to... Get over it.

Mumoftwo84 · 06/11/2020 16:56

@stitchervice if you call the maternity assessment unit or early pregnancy unit (can't remember what it's called) at your local hospital they should hopefully let you have a scan if you're bleeding & especially if you're around 7 weeks & have pain on one side as they'll need to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. My friend had spotting throughout early pregnancy & it stopped about 14 weeks. She now has a healthy two year old so it can be completely fine but worth getting checked if you can.

BurningBenches · 07/11/2020 09:09

How are you doing this morning @Sitchervice? X

Sitchervice · 07/11/2020 09:25

@Mumoftwo84 I've had two scans already so they won't do anything

Sitchervice · 07/11/2020 09:26

@BurningBenches no blood this morning so I think this might just be somthing my body does. I have no cramps or anything

grayman · 07/11/2020 09:30

hi

Nesski · 07/11/2020 15:47

Hello all, can I join? First baby due 26th of June 2021 and so far have has all the works except the actual throwing up. 24/7 nausea due to hunger or due to having eaten (can't win), headaches, exhaustion, aversions to everything but dry food (on chinese noodles atm), nose of a bloodhound, awful taste in month. Constipated for a week now I have diarrhea (sorry TMI!), wearing a mask makes me feel even more sick so avoiding going to shops. Please tell me it's better as I am literally miserable!!! And I can't tell anyone at work either! I was thinking of letting them know after Xmas? What's everybody else doing? It's all a bit unreal at the moment as all I have going for me are 3 pregnancy tests, have a f2f booking in appointment in 2.5 weeks time!

Bella678 · 07/11/2020 17:06

@Nesski i think mine is due 25/26th June 2021. My first appt on the 16th. I did 3 tests too 🤣.

I won't be telling anyone until the 12 week scan however my immediate family know. This is my second pregnancy and the nausea this time round is much worse. I never even had an issue with smell last time but now everything turns my stomach. My boobs are agony. Feel light headed and weak too. Hoping this will all pass quickly and then i assume my pelvic girdle pain will return, last time it started at wk 14.

Hope u start to feel better too, i know what u mean about starving and still feel sick and then u eat and prob feel worse 😩

Bella678 · 07/11/2020 17:07

Hi @grayman 👍🏽

Nesski · 07/11/2020 17:56

@Bella678 looks like we will be due roughly the same time! I haven't told anyone but my husband (obviously) and sister! Makes me feel nervous but at the same time it's so hard with work, someone has already picked up that I've been 'dropping the ball' but in reality I'm just too exhausted and ill Sad

Bella678 · 07/11/2020 18:04

@Nesski aaaaw i feel for u. I couldn't be working with the way i feel right now. I've been off sick for a while now, prior to the pregnancy.

You could tell just your boss in confidence. I did the first time round. I just thought if something happened at work then they'd be in the loop. Xx

Mishmased · 07/11/2020 20:37

@Bella678 my pelvic pain started at 8 weeks this time but I didn't know what it was. I'm 10+4 and I'm seeing an osteopath, I also got support belt from
Lola &Lykke. It came on Wednesday and has been a lifesaver. My pelvic pain started around 30 weeks last time so it took me a while to recognize it. I have my booking scan in two weeks and hopefully be referred to physio.

Mishmased · 07/11/2020 20:39

I keep saying I'll tell my boss but then we got anew boss last week. I'm back to work on Tuesday and will be 11 weeks so maybe I'll tell him then. I work shift so only see him max twice a week.
