I know!

Skyla01 · 15/05/2020 11:21

Hello ladies, another graduate here! Been ttc no1 for 14months so can't believe I finally got a bfp! I waited until AF was several days late, so I am 5wks today. Feeling a bit sick already- hope this isn't the start of morning sickness!

Glad to hear that others are also a bit anxious! Wishing us all healthy pregnancies. We won't be telling anyone until 12wk scan, just in case.

Congrats Skyla01, well done for waiting so long to test! I'm also feeling a bit sick on and off but not sure if I'm imagining it!

sachaf08 · 15/05/2020 11:27

@Skyla01 ^^

Skyla01 · 15/05/2020 11:30

@sachaf08 thank you! I've never been an early tester and after trying for so long I was so nervous to test as I couldn't face more disappointment. That's the first test I've taken for 11 months!

I know what you mean. I definitely have a bit of nausea but now I know I'm pregnant I might be hamming it up a bit!

BabyDust13 · 15/05/2020 11:48

@Skyla01 yay congratulations πŸ₯³

Positivetime · 15/05/2020 12:13

Ahh congratulations @Skyla01!

inthestars90 · 15/05/2020 13:05

Congrats @Skyla01 !! That is a super clear positive, do you know an estimated due date?

I know what you mean about the nausea thing. One of the reasons I thought I might be pregnant was I sniffed something to see if it was okay to eat (it wasn't) and I gagged where a nose wrinkle would have been more appropriate πŸ˜‚

Skyla01 · 15/05/2020 13:14

@inthestars90 19th Jan is what the nhs calculator said.

Anyone here had a baby before? Any tips for getting through the 1st trimester? I have a feeling the sickness & tiredness might hit like a ton of bricks soon!

Littlebump2018 · 15/05/2020 13:26

@Skyla01 we're on baby number 2 and no real advice lol apart from take each day as it comes. I suffered really bad with migraine and nausea so I just tried to survive each day lol specially when I had to be at work sometimes I'd have a nap at work on my lunch break :)

Littlebump2018 · 15/05/2020 13:28

Finally got my 3+ today! Currently 4 +5 so dates working quite well with each other :D

@Littlebump2018 nice to see it on a digital.

@including how far along were you when it started? I like the idea of seabands- I've used them before for travel sickness. Do you put on one wrist or both?

@unluckyducky don't know what happened to the tag before! Ah ok I'll look out for then if I need it. With social distancing & WFH should be able to keep it on the down low.

@BabyG123 thank you, super lucky thread!

BabyG123 · 15/05/2020 17:13

@Skyla01 sorry I skimmed through earlier. This is number 2 for me but had a easy ride with number 1. Had nothing at all. So tired and nauseous this time πŸ’€

Ladies my friend just had her lil baby boy and he's so cute can't believe that will be us soon πŸ₯°

CoronaBaby · 15/05/2020 19:00

Girls how are you all?!
@Skyla01 congratulations I am just over the moon for you!! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
Sorry I’ve been MIA the last few days I’ve been super busy at work/home, have hardly had a chance to even thing about the pregnancy, I feel so guilty in that regard.
Only 4 weeks today so still quite apprehensive but I did ring the GP today!
How are you all feeling?

BabyDust13 · 15/05/2020 20:10

@CoronaBaby hey I'm 4 weeks today as well still being cautious but feeling good apart from back ache I still haven't stopped peeing on sticks but I will I don't have many left πŸ˜‚

CoronaBaby · 15/05/2020 20:35

@BabyDust13 I have ran out of sticks to pee on, I would love to buy more but my husband would be very unimpressed with me 😬 he told me I can buy garden furniture instead so that will hammer the bank balance and in turn deter me πŸ˜… I am a bit nervous as I got my BFP 8 dpo and 7 days before my period but the GP said that’s a good thing not a bad thing! That was reassuring as with DD my nipples were on fire a few days before my BFP but this time round I feel no different, only tired πŸ˜…
How is your back pain?

BabyDust13 · 15/05/2020 20:40

@CoronaBaby well new garden furniture sounds nice in time for summer. It's good that you've spoken to your GP must be a bit reassuring. My doctors don't see you for pregnancy I just have to fill in a form online but I haven't done it yet. My back isn't to bad thank you I think it's a combination of this and an uncomfortable work chair.

CoronaBaby · 15/05/2020 20:55

Yes here is a mixture of care between the GP and the maternity Unit, although due to my last pregnancy I will now be high risk so most of my care will now be in the maternity unit!
Oh you poor thing, could you pop a cushion behind your back for support?

CoronaBaby · 15/05/2020 20:56

Oh sorry @BabyDust13 I forgot to tag you!
