They are letting my husband come back down with me which is good

BabyDust13 · 09/06/2020 13:42

@Hopefulmummie sorry to hear this. Sending you hugs

Fluffkins14 · 09/06/2020 14:01

@Hopefulmummie I'm glad they're letting your husband go, it's truly heartbreaking my PM is always open πŸ’–

The lady needed to get a consultant, they've ruled out eptopic but the sac was a bit small for 5/6weeks and no heartbeat, there was also another area that he wasnt sure if was another sac but nowhere near as developed I now have tilo wait till the 25th to go back to the same consultant and be rescan for viability

Skyla01 · 09/06/2020 15:09

@Fluffkins14 I'm sorry your scan wasn't reassuring. It can be so difficult at this stage as everything is so small. Fingers crossed the next week or two go by quickly until your next scan.

Hopefulmummie · 09/06/2020 16:16

So I'm being kept in overnight for observations as the sharp pain has came back
The Dr rescanned me and is happy enough that I don't need surgery and is going to give me injection and see how it goes x

@fluffkins14 I'm sorry you didn't get any reassurance. But hopefully it's just too small to pick up on in scan and you will be able to see it in your next scan x

sachaf08 · 09/06/2020 17:55

@Hopefulmummie I'm glad they're keeping you in overnight, better to be safe than sorry. Fingers crossed you don't need surgery and they can resolve it with the injection. I'm so sorry this has happened to you, I couldn't believe when I looked and saw how common ectopic pregnancy is. I hope they're looking after you well in there, I'll be thinking about you tonight xx
@Fluffkins14 really sorry you didn't get the reassurance you were hoping for, fingers crossed things will be much clearer on the next scan! Hang in there

Hopefulmummie · 09/06/2020 18:13

@sachaf08 I know I would probably prefer than to be sent straight home as I'm still having pains. The midwives have been so lovely. I'm just waiting on transport to be taken over to the main hospital now x

Hopefulmummie · 10/06/2020 10:39

So I've to stay in hospital until Sunday at least :( I really thought I was getting out today but because I'm in pain they have to keep an eye on me incase I need surgery. I got the injection last night and They'll do my bloods tomorrow and Saturday and if the injection is working I'll be allowed home on Sunday

Made worse cause no visitors allowed not even my husband

Positivetime · 10/06/2020 10:46

@Hopefulmummie I’m so sorry to read about your sad news. I hope you’re doing ok and I’m glad the hospital are looking after you. Really am heartbroken for you. Sending you lots of strength and good wishes.

Positivetime · 10/06/2020 10:50

Hi everyone. Haven’t written in a while as I’ve got completely gone off screens. I can’t wait tv, struggle with my laptop and fone. Didn’t even know this was a symptom. Nausea is constant and the sea bands aren’t helping unfortunately.

Completely on a beige and unhealthy diet so really worried about the lack of nutrition the baby is getting. But midwife said to just eat when and what I can.

@BabyDust13 I think pregnacare is also causing me stomach burns but I’m worried I won’t get nutrition so trying to stick with it but I think I might have to stop it aswell soon for folic acid.
I have felt really down too recently. I spend all weekends in bed sleeping and crying cos I feel so alone. My husband is trying so hard but I don’t want him to miss out on life cos of me and I’ve been making him go out for exercise etc.

I feel I should be happy and grateful but I’ve never felt this low before. I’m constantly worried about everything and tired of feeling like ok hungover and not being able to talk to friends or family about it.

Aimy1 · 10/06/2020 11:09

@positivetime sending you hugs! Fingers crossed that it passes after 12 weeks. The first few weeks can be horrendous.

@Hopefulmummie sending you hugs too x

BabyDust13 · 10/06/2020 11:30

@Positivetime I was feeling all of these things and honestly since I stopped taking pregnacare I feel so much better. My cramps have settled right down at one point they were unbearable. I have more energy and in general I just feel more positive.

I have gone back to taking just folic acid and trying to add more fruit and veg instead.

I stopped taking them Sunday's and it's taking until now but honestly I feel more like my old self

I really hope you feel better soon. From my own experience I wouldn't use them again

Sending hugs

MoonW · 10/06/2020 11:35

@Hopefulmummie I’m sorry that you’ve got to stay in for so long without your husband Sad sending you lots of hugs x

@Fluffkins14 I’m sorry you didn’t get the reassurance at your scan, fingers crossed everything will be as it should at your next scan in a couple of weeks x

@Positivetime I hope your nausea eases a little for you soon at least, and sending you hugs with you feeling so down x

Skyla01 · 10/06/2020 11:43

@Hopefulmummie sorry you have to stay in hospital so long! But at least they are looking after you well and being extra careful.

@Positivetime I'm so sorry you feel so rubbish. I'm not as bad as you but I have spent lots of time in bed and sometimes just felt like crying. It's horrible when you feel so awful all the time. I can't wait until I feel normal again. Have you tried phoning the gp to get an anti-sickness drug if the nausea is really bad? I would stop pregnacare just in case, maybe get a cheap multivitamin instead? I also feel sorry for my DP- I've been on such bad form for weeks. Just know you are not alone and there is light at the end of the tunnel, although the thought of a few more weeks of this is horrible too.

I always wanted 2 kids but after the last few weeks I'm not so sure I want to go through this again :(

sachaf08 · 10/06/2020 21:25

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing ok today. I've been using the travel sickness wrist bands and I do think they're helping at least a bit, I was still sick this morning but didn't feel sick for most of the day. Might have been a coincidence though. @Positivetime I'm so sorry you're feeling so rubbish, please don't fret about what you're eating, the baby will be fine and will get the nutrients from the supplements whichever ones you take. I've been eating absolute rubbish because I genuinely can't entertain the thought of most veg. I've found soup quite useful for a veg injection. Don't beat yourself up, it's a really hard time in the first trimester as we're all discovering, just be kind to yourself! Definitely tell the midwife how you're feeling if you haven't already, they might be able to give you some support xx

Hopefulmummie · 10/06/2020 22:50

Hi everyone thought I'd gave a bit of an update .

I've had a tough day today firstly finding out I'll be here to Sunday. I've been in a lot of pain from about 12 today .. the worst pain on my left hand side where pregnancy is.. Dr said its to be expected once injection starts working I guess it's made worse knowing what's actually happening and bleeding more.
They gave me something stronger as I was in agony but I'm not great with strong pain relief and it completely wiped me out and made me feel horrible then I threw everything up :( it was a horrible few hours.
Still in pain but hoping to get something stronger soon to help me sleep. I slept ok last night woke up about 5 am today but think it will be different tonight as I had no pain last night

No visitors allowed up into the ward which is shit but I've been able to go downstairs to meet my husband and mummy and sister it was nice seeing them for the 1st.

I'm in a side ward so even more boring but think they'll be moving me to the main ward once my covid results come back clear.

Again thank you all for the thoughts and hope you are all doing ok x

Skyla01 · 11/06/2020 10:38

@sachaf08 glad you are feeling slightly better, I hope it continues. I'm doing ok but symptoms can be so variable, I'm worried about having another bad day. So just taking it 1 day at a time and not making any plans.

@Hopefulmummie I'm sorry that sounds really rough. I hope today is better. Painkillers can really knock you for six.

Positivetime · 11/06/2020 11:10

Thank you ladies. I appreciate your support.
It’s been horrible. And I feel so guilty for not being more happy during such a wonderful time.

I came down with the worst migraine ever Yday. I have never had one before. My vision went blurry and the head was pounding. Went to bed at 7pm and it’s still hurting. Called the midwife and she said to just take paracetamol and it’s hormones yet again causing this! Really doesn’t help with nausea and vomiting!
Hope the rest of you are doing ok x

Skyla01 · 11/06/2020 12:15

@Positivetime this is the first time I have been pregnant and tbh was not expecting it to be this tough at all! It's grim. But I'm hoping in a few weeks as we hit 2nd trimester we'll be feeling much better again and then we can finally start to enjoy pregnancy!

Positivetime · 11/06/2020 12:27

That’s what I’m hoping too! I said the same to my husband. No one told me it was going to be like this!

BabyG123 · 11/06/2020 12:49

I was given a false impression with my first child. Breezy pregnancy, no symptoms.
Also a angel sleeper. 😳 opposite
Pregnancy 😳

Skyla01 · 11/06/2020 13:58

@BabyG123 hopefully this one will still be a good sleeper!

I think this thread makes depressing reading just now, but it's nice to know many of us are in the same boat with feeling rubbish. In another 4 wks hopefully this will be a much healthier & happier thread!

BabyG123 · 11/06/2020 15:55

@Skyla01 it's always the way in the first trimester. Last time I signed out over the scans as some bad news does make you think a lot. Preying for all good news obvs!

Fingers crossed for happy healthy pregnancies

Apologies guys don’t think I helped with my messages yday! But definitely hope it gets better for us all! x

CoronaBaby · 11/06/2020 18:12

Hey girls! How are you all? I commented on the last thread but can’t remember if I have commented here! I had been having a fair bit of spotting and was quite anxious so have just kept up with you all but was lurking!
Currently 7+6 and feeling good, a bit tired but DD is 11 months and I went back to work last week, today was the first day I had to go for a nap!
I had an early scan at 7+3 in the EPU due to the spotting which showed a heart beat and everything as it should be although she said I was more 7+1 but as it was an abdominal scan I’m not going getting too hung up on it!
I hope you are all well! @Hopefulmummie sorry to hear what you are going through xx
