Hi ladies! Hope you're all ok today. I just had my scan and it turns out I'm actually 8+2 rather than 7+3. Everything in the right place so I'm very relieved. The scan itself was pretty painful though, not when he checked the baby but when he looked at my ovaries - anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure if I'm just being a total wuss but at one point he pressed down on my left side from the outside while scanning and I almost had to ask him to stop! I know they have to to rule out ectopic but I wasn't expecting it to hurt!

OrangeJ · 02/06/2020 21:01

@Skyla01 oooh how exciting that you get to see an actual real life person! That’s hopeful for partners at scans etc. 🀞

Aw sorry you girlies that are feeling cruddy.

@Hopefulmummie I think just for your peace of mind that an early scan is definitely the right thing to do. When are you booked in for? Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you. X

I was so tired this morning and could not get out of bed. Also having some I guess heavy spotting this evening.

OrangeJ · 02/06/2020 21:03

Missed the messages on this page! @sachaf08 ah pleased that your scan went well ☺️ but pants it hurt. I remember when I had a scan for PCOS it was really uncomfortable only because of how full my bladder was!

sachaf08 · 02/06/2020 21:16

@OrangeJ yes tbh I think that might have had something to do with it, I had gone to the loo when I arrived as requested but had also drunk a lot of water so after waiting 20 mins for the scan I needed a wee again! He didn't seem remotely surprised that it hurt though..! Ah well, hopefully external scans won't be so bad

MoonW · 02/06/2020 21:19

Just been for a wee and noticed some light pink tinge when wiping and now feeling terrified. I know spotting can be normal but I’m terrified of going to the bathroom and it being heavier.

Hopefulmummie · 02/06/2020 21:20

@OrangeJ it's on saturday. I'll be exactly 6 weeks so not sure if there will be much to see but hopefully it reassures me. Thank you

BabyDust13 · 02/06/2020 21:25

@Hopefulmummie good luck for your scan πŸ₯°

MoonW · 02/06/2020 22:17

@sachaf08 glad your scan went well, but definitely sounds painful!

@Hopefulmummie not long until your scan which is good, everything crossed for you! x

sachaf08 · 02/06/2020 22:51

@MoonW thanks. Just seen your post- how are you doing now? I know it's hard and I know I would also be worried, but there are already so many stories just in this thread of people having bleeding and then a positive scan. Let us know how you're doing!

Hopefulmummie · 02/06/2020 23:00

@MoonW thank you. How are you now?
Try not to worry I know easier said than done

sachaf08 · 03/06/2020 08:24

Morning all- just spent 20 mins with my head in the basin, it's awful vomming in the morning because there's hardly anything in there to get rid of!(sorry if TMI) I've got to work for a few hours later, luckily I teach children one to one over Zoom so can always stop my video and mute myself in an emergency! Hope everyone's doing ok today x

MoonW · 03/06/2020 08:39

@sachaf08 & @Hopefulmummie thank you, that’s what I’m holding on to at the moment so just keeping everything crossed it’s all ok. There wasn’t anything when I went for a wee first thing but just been again and there’s definitely a slight β€˜orangey/yellow’ tint where it’s hard to determine if it’s more pink or orange. Don’t think I’ve had cramps but have had continuous discomfort/bloating but that’s been since before I even found out.

@sachaf08 oh that’s awful when you just don’t have anything to bring up! Hopefully your lessons all go smoothly without any emergency breaks 🀞

Skyla01 · 03/06/2020 08:48

@sachaf08 congrats on your scan! That's lovely & reassuring. Sorry it was painful though. The 12wk scan should be external so a lot more comfortable. Your sickness sounds horrible- I feel really rough but no actual vomiting yet. I wish I was working from home just now- getting up for work in the mornings can be quite hard.

@Hopefulmummie I hope you can get some reassurance on Saturday. My booking is today, I am 7+4 according to lmp.

@MoonW so sorry about the spotting, that must be such a worry. If it stays light that is a good sign.

sachaf08 · 03/06/2020 09:41

@MoonW that's good that you've not had much overnight, maybe it's slowing down/stopping? Fingers crossed, even though it can be totally normal it's still worrying! Yes I hope I can get through it, I've already had to cancel a couple of days because of feeling ill and they're all going to start guessing soon!

@Skyla01 thanks! It was quite nice to find I'd skipped a whole week- but yes definitely looking forward to an external scan! Oh god I shouldn't be complaining really,I know I'd be struggling so much more if I was having to go out to work! Don't know how you manage it!!

Skyla01 · 03/06/2020 16:36

Had my booking appointment this morning. Lots of questions to answer, bloods taken and urine sample given too. Now just to wait for the 12wk scan appointment in the post. No partners allowed at scans yet.

@sachaf08 I was feeling awful over lunch time today. Fortunately have few days off but worried for next week that I might have to bail from work. Will just have to see how it goes. Would prefer to be wfh for sure.

Hopefulmummie · 03/06/2020 16:44

@skyla01 that's good you got to go in for your booking appointment. I think its terrible they're not letting partners into scans when they've started to lift other restrictions

sachaf08 · 03/06/2020 21:29

@Skyla01 definitely don't feel bad if you have to take some time off, I honestly don't know how you're coping. I basically have to lie down every time I feel sick!

Aimy1 · 04/06/2020 11:46

@Skyla01 I'm glad your appointment went well. I'm booked in for an emergency scan this afternoon as I'm having terrible backache with mild cramps and I'm spotting ever so slightly. Quite worried x

Positivetime · 04/06/2020 13:45

Hi all, how is everyone doing? I’ve not written in a while but was wondering if anyone had any advice.

I’m 7+2 today and basically I’ve felt horrible nausea since Sunday, along with the same period like cramps since week 4.5 everything was fine at my 6 week scan last week with hb and I shouldn’t worry. However today and yesterday the nausea has gone down a lot my cramps are picking up again and I’m not sure if it’s my eyes or what but I think I saw a slight brown/yellow twinge discharge.
I’m worried something is wrong and I’m going to miscarry. I’m feeling so upset and anxious. I keep fearing the worst. I feel this weird foul taste in my mouth all the time even after I eat something sweet. It’s just weird how my symptoms keep coming and going and still not heard from my midwife so I feel so lost.

Aimy1 · 04/06/2020 14:13

@positivetime I'm pretty much the same as you right now. My sickness the last few days has been horrid, not actually throwing up but feeling sick constantly. Today I've had quite bad cramps which have been on and off since before I found out and I'm struggling to walk with my back. I've also noticed the slight redish/brownish tinge when I wipe. I've got an emergency scan in an hour to see what's going on x

Positivetime · 04/06/2020 14:16

@Aimy1 best of luck. I hope all is ok

MoonW · 04/06/2020 14:47

@Aimy1 wishing you all the best with your scan and fingers crossed everything’s ok for you x

@Positivetime I don’t have any advice as this is my first pregnancy and I’m only 5 weeks, but I’ve been having on and off stomach/pelvic pains and cramps since before I got a positive and they still come and go and have been told that it can be normal to have cramping, but if you’re worried can you call your midwifery team and get some advice and they may then be able to looking at getting your appt booked too? x

BabyDust13 · 04/06/2020 15:41

So here is my little blob just the one I'm a bit relieved to be honest measures at 6+2 which I thought was weird because exactly a week ago it was 5+5 but they said they all grow at different rates still has a strong little heartbeat

Don't have another scan now until 20th June which feels like forever away

Super excited now I've got a pic it seems so much more real

Hope you are all ok today πŸ₯°

Aimy1 · 04/06/2020 16:13

@BabyDust13 congratulations! That's lovely!

I've just had my scan, I'm 5-6 weeks so a week or 2 ahead of what I thought. Baby is absolutely fine and heart beat is strong. They've said the pain in my stomach could be due to not eating properly so my bowels are all over the place. Bleeding could just be implantation but it's nothing to worry about and I could bleed for the next few days/week but all is ok 😊

sachaf08 · 04/06/2020 16:21

@Aimy1 I'm so glad everything is ok, and it's quite nice to be further on than expected isn't it?!

@BabyDust13 that's lovely, so nice to see a pic. How are you feeling?
