How far along were you when you got scanned? I'm worried if I do get a scan they won't be able to see much anyway as I'm only 5 weeks

Just off the phone to the gp who wasn't that helpful. Just said if I went for a scan now they probably wouldn't be able to see anything and normally they only scan after 6 weeks. She said she would refer me anyway and if anything changes or bleeding gets heavier to go to a and e

@Hopefulmummie I hope everything is ok for you. Unfortunately at this stage there isn't much that can be done because as your GP has said a scan may not show anything anyway. Fingers crossed.

I also feel bad for my DP he's trying so hard and I am grouchy in return. Poor guy. The first trimester is rough though! Hope we all start to feel better soon...

So my hospital isn't taking anyone in for scans due to coronavirus :( just said I'll have to wait it out and they will ring me back next week to see how things are

I'll be 6 weeks on Saturday so feel like booking a private scan just to put my mind at ease

@Hopefulmummie I was 5+5 when I had my scan x

@BabyDust13 was there much to see? Were they able to tell you things were ok

@BabyDust13 was your partner allowed to go with you or did you have to go alone x

@Hopefulmummie just a round blob but I could see the heartbeat but it was tiny. They said everything looked good

@Fluffkins14 my OH wasn't allowed in he waited in the car he was gutted and they didn't give me a pic not that you could see much

Hey ladies, hope you’re all well.

At @Hopefulmummie I had some spotting Saturday night through to Sunday morning. I called me GP first thing and I got referred this afternoon for a scan. They make me 6 weeks and I saw a blob with a heartbeat. She said the spotting is really common and that when it’s not associated with pain or red blood it’s often just old bloody coming away. I have too been so anxious but always felt better when I saw people who had been spotting have a positive scan! Hope you get some reassurance from someone soon x

@Littlepeas2 really glad you were able to get some reassurance and all is looking ok.

This is my first & never realised the 1st trimester would be so hard- loads of anxiety & feeling rubbish! Fingers crossed all goes well to the 12wk scan and then we might be able to enjoy pregnancy a bit...! At least my feeling rough stops me worrying too much.

It’s so strange, this is my 3rd and I really thought I’d be fine yet I think this is the most anxious I’ve felt with any of them! Have you a date for your 12 week scan yet?

My nausea is so bad today it only goes when I'm eating but only mainly rubbish nothing healthy of course 🙄

@BabyDust13 I feel your pain. Really not feeling good. Just got the husband to pick up ginger biscuits. 🤢

@Hopefulmummie I hope you're ok, I know it's really hard but try and stay calm. Chances are it's totally normal and it's not that long till you can get a scan (though I know it'll feel like ages)

@BabyDust13 and @BabyG123 I'm really struggling with nausea now, I only feel ok when eating but it's such a struggle making food in the first place. I've been surviving on Heinz tomato soup the last few days, I guess at least that's veg but not particularly nutritious!

@Littlepeas2 not yet but I have booking appointment on Wed so might find out more then. Hope it's sooner rather than later.

@BabyDust13 same here. My OH can't believe what I'm eating my diet is normally so healthy. It's weird I don't want to eat but know it's the only thing that will help... until I eat too much then I feel ill again!

@sachaf08 tomato soup sounds good! I am doing zero cooking, only microwave

@littlepeas2 I'm glad you got some reassurance. I was a but crampy but nothing major and blood still seems to be brown and not getting any heavier which is not worrying me as much. Though think I will book a 6 week scan just to know for def .

@sachaf08 thank you I know I'm alot better today but you can't help but just worry eh.

It was our first wedding anniversary today so we've been out most of the day which has been nice to take my mind of it

I have my midwife booking appointment tomorrow. Was surprised to learn I actually get to go in person! Will let you all know how I get on.

@skyla01, I've got terrible lower back pain today. I've always struggled with my back but it's quite bad today spent a few hours over the park yesterday though sitting on the floor without back support so think that may be why. Also sickness and tiredness is in full force. I have my appointment on the 10th of this month. How are you and everyone else?

@Skyla01 that's good you get to go in person I really hope I do too.

DH just said he is getting anxious for the first scan. Glad he is honest as this was me last time

I’ve been feeling incredibly anxious today and just can’t seem to shake off that anxious unsettled feeling tonight but hoping it settles down soon

So I caved and booked an early scan for saturday as I'm still bleeding. Just praying everything looks ok
