@Positivetime I don't think there is much to achieve by doing lots of tests. If anything it can make things more stressful. if the worst was to happen there is nothing we can do to prevent it, and we would know by bleeding. So I would say unless you have any worrying symptoms don't test, and try and enjoy each day as it comes x

OrangeJ · 21/05/2020 16:17

Aw @Mrsi2020 don’t they say it can take a couple of days for it to increase? πŸ™

Congrats @TheLastStark! πŸ₯³

@Positivetime I’m by no means an expert but everyone’s different aren’t they? Maybe your boobs are just taking a rest today. I’m really not sure how long are you meant to have cramps for?

Can I ask what vitamins everyone is taking? I read just folic acid and vit d, but maybe not but d now it’s sunny? Such conflicting opinions out there. I’ve got folic acid and going to start but B12 as I read that can help keep fatigue at bay and omega 3 for brain development (probably babies, not mine! Although mine could do with it!)

I just did my last FRER today and I think it looks a nice bit darker than yesterday so kind of starting to feel real, but still not 100%!

Skyla01 · 21/05/2020 16:25

@OrangeJ I am only taking folic acid. After ttc for 14months I am so happy to finally have a reason to take it!! I know what you mean- it is gradually sinking but at the same time I feel like a bit of a fraud. Like am I really pregnant?! My boobs are getting bigger though, and I've been flat chested all my life, so that has to be a sign Grin

Have you told anyone else the news?

OrangeJ · 21/05/2020 16:38

Omg @Skyla01 I can’t wait! I’m barely a b cup πŸ˜‚

No! Only you girls! It’s killing meeee!! We’ve always made out to friends that we didn’t want kids only because we thought it would take us a while and we didn’t want to keep facing the β€œare you pregnant yet” questions! So I know when we tell anyone it will be a big shock πŸ˜‚ I also have no friends I would trust to keep it to themselves. They’re all awful with secrets lol! How about you? I did read through the thread but can’t remember who said what now.

TheLastStark · 21/05/2020 17:00

Thanks all to the congrats, still doesn't feel real 😊

I'm taking a mix of vitamins from boots I think their own pre pregnancy vitamins!

I've also told my family and best friend so far, I figured I'd want their support no matter what and I couldn't keep the news to myself

BabyDust13 · 21/05/2020 17:30

So just found out my SIL is 11 weeks pregnant and I'm so exited but so jealous wish I was already 11 weeks πŸ˜‚

BabyDust13 · 21/05/2020 17:32

@OrangeJ I'm taken the pregnacare vitamins

Positivetime · 21/05/2020 19:09

Guys I’m an idiot. I took one. And I don’t know what this means. It’s the control line that’s really light. I’ve measured in the evening and afternoon before and I’ve seen a line. What could this mean?

The May Group Graduates. RING HOOP BULLET.
BabyDust13 · 21/05/2020 19:23

So @Positivetime I googled it for you and this is what I found

They said that the reason the control line is so light is because your HCG levels are so high that it actually 'pulls' color from the control line.

So no need to panic πŸ₯°

Aimy1 · 21/05/2020 19:32

So today I'm 14dpo. Have had a sicky feeling all day and was that tired, I had a 2hour nap! Also I'm so thirsty all the time. Nothing can quench my thirst, is thay normal? I've got 2 children already but it seems like a lifetime ago! Af is due tomorrow so I'm hoping it doesnt and am going to do a digi test monday if it's a no show. Cramps have also calmed right down x

sachaf08 · 21/05/2020 19:47

@Positivetime that happened to me 2 weeks ago as well, from what I've read it's more likely to be a good thing as @BabyDust13 says

BabyDust13 · 21/05/2020 19:50

@Aimy1 fingers crossed they sound like good signs

Positivetime · 21/05/2020 20:15

@BabyDust13 @sachaf08
Thank you so much guys I’ve just read that too. I’m honestly driving myself mad and need to get out of the house for a walk or something! Lesson learnt!
My husband has officially banned me from testing anymore! I think he’s right to do so!

How’s everyone else feeling this evening? More sane than me I hope!

inthestars90 · 21/05/2020 20:15

@Positivetime I also did that with the same result. I understand the same -that the dye gets sucked into the positive line and comes up before the control ! I think it means you are too pregnant to be taking an early detection test πŸ™‚ can't pretend I wasn't worried before I realised-no more testing for me! I have attached mine with my first one next to it.

The May Group Graduates. RING HOOP BULLET.
sachaf08 · 21/05/2020 20:24

@Positivetime don't worry, it's so easy to get yourself worked up particularly when we're all spending so much time at home at the moment, there isn't enough to distract us! How are your cramps now?
My nausea is really ramping up now, had to cancel a morning of work today which was really annoying but I only felt ok lying down! I've also got zero appetite, it's not ideal πŸ˜‚ I was doing so well with eating well but it's all going out the window now that I basically can only stomach Tuc biscuits.

Skyla01 · 21/05/2020 20:26

@BabyDust13 that's great you can enjoy the journey with her in a few weeks!

@OrangeJ it'll be amazing when you can tell all your friend & family then! I've only told my best friend. I'm really looking forward to telling everyone else but definitely want to wait for scan first.

@Positivetime what an odd test. Sounds like good news though so yes time to stop testing! I am very tired & boobs are sore but feeling good. I'm still very excited to actually be pregnant!

Skyla01 · 21/05/2020 20:29

@sachaf08 sorry you feel so rough. Did it come on suddenly?

sachaf08 · 21/05/2020 20:33

@Skyla01 it's been slowly building up since the start of this week, at first I thought I was just imagining it because everywhere you look it says morning sickness can start in week 6. It's yesterday and today that it's been suddenly quite bad, just thinking of certain foods(salmon and sweet potato at the moment) makes me feel so woozy. How are you feeling? No nausea yet? My cousin just gave birth to a little boy and she had absolutely no symptoms in the first trimester!

Skyla01 · 21/05/2020 20:39

@sachaf08 I did have some nausea but it's almost gone for now. It's funny how each person reacts so differently to pregnancy. You nausea sounds awful, I hope i can be a lucky one who gets very little.

Positivetime · 21/05/2020 20:42

@sachaf08 oh I hope your nausea gets better soon! Don’t feel bad about taking time off work if you need it.
My cramps are slowly getting less I think. They still come and go but I think it’s less frequent. But the GP yday told me to do nothing for 24 hours. So that’s what I’ve been doing. Nothing and just watching tv and sleeping everytime I feel any pain

TheLastStark · 21/05/2020 20:42

Oh I've never heard of that about morning sickness! I must be making things up in my head then πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

sachaf08 · 21/05/2020 20:47

@TheLastStark have you already got it? I think it can start any time but week 6 is just said to be the most common time. Is that what you meant ?

sachaf08 · 21/05/2020 20:51

@Skyla01 fingers crossed! I hope this doesn't carry on till week 12 or get worse!

@Positivetime that's good, nice to have a reason to chill out! When is your scan, did you say next week?

Positivetime · 21/05/2020 20:58

@sachaf08 yep next Wednesday. The days are dragging !

TheLastStark · 21/05/2020 21:00

@Sachaof8 not sure if I would call it morning sickness as yet, but definitely not feeling myself. Also completely gone off food
