The bacon butties have to be made at home though and the bacon grilled. And lots of brown sauce....that's tonight's tea sorted out again then!

LipstickMum · 02/11/2004 12:05

lol

Cobweb · 02/11/2004 12:05

I was heaving loading the dishwasher this morning, the smells of old food are making me feel pukey!

I love crackers and cheese atm with pickle and crisps.

Not eating a lot of chocolate but still eating the kids chewie sweets LOL.

A fish finger sandwich sounds divine and so does a bacon one dashes off to raid the fridge

mrsflowerpot · 02/11/2004 12:08

Hi everyone
Glad everyone is OK if sick.
Had a lovely time at my mums last week, then MIL was here all weekend and I actually cried yesterday morning when I realised I was going to have to look after myself again!
Feeling horribly sick now, pretty much all day long, in fact it's worse in the evening. although not been sick thank goodness, I hate it. Can't touch hot drinks, not even fruit tea, am living on water and orange juice. Most food is pretty evil (except crisps and chips ), although I am managing cereal and fruit at brekkie. I was hardly queasy at all with ds, god I was lucky! Although that bacon sandwich does sound good, I must say...
Not seeing the midwife for another 2 weeks, when I'll be 10 weeks, and when I got all the paperwork to fill in it says there are no routine scans before 20 weeks. That's different from last time, so much for all the extra cash in the NHS.
Otherwise, I'm just massively weepy - really pathetic - anyone else?

MrsWednesday · 02/11/2004 12:22

Hello mrsflowerpot, I wondered where you'd been. Sorry to hear you're feeling so rough - join the club, it's a right sickly bunch on here .

Also feeling weepy and pathetic - was up for an hour crying in the middle of the night last night. Can't seem to get a grip at all.

Please, please, please STOP talking about bacon sandwiches - it's all I can think about now!!!! Was going to have an avocado salad for my lunch but that is not going to satisfy me now. Oh the hunger, I feel like my stomach is eating itself...

Quick question - is everyone getting cramps? I'm still getting AF-style ones, is this OK?

sweetheart · 02/11/2004 12:23

I'm still getting cramps - and I'm so hormonal that I'm sitting at my desk at work crying - how sad is that!!!!

mrsflowerpot · 02/11/2004 12:25

yes, me too with the cramps, not as badly as a couple of weeks ago though. I do remember them for about 4 months with ds, they really freaked me but the midwife was really reassuring about htem so they aren't worrying me this time. I had a CS last time, and I'm getting scar twinges now, if I cough or sneeze unexpectedly in particular.

MissTuesday · 02/11/2004 12:30

hi everyone
hope you are all well (ish)
I've had cramps on and off as well, nothing too serious but I think they are pretty normal, especially around the time you would have had your period (thats what I was told last time anyway)
Surely we must be getting close to that magical 12week mark now, I'm sooooo desperate for this morning sickness to end.
I think we won't recognise ourselves in a few weeks, all of our posts will be full of joy and energy (I at least hope to stop moaning one day soon anyway!)
On a lovely note though, ds has just started walking and looks like a little zombie with his arms out in front to keep him balanced. sooooooooooo sweet.
xxxxx

MrsWednesday · 02/11/2004 12:32

Your message about your DS brought a tear to my eye Miss Tuesday. It's so lovely when they start walking - I thought my DS looked like a drunk coming out of the pub when he first did it!

teabelly · 02/11/2004 12:38

Miss Tuesday how lovely about your son - there'll be no stopping him now!

All this talk of food has got me very hungry indeed...I think the roll I brough in with me just isn't going to be enough!! I find that so long as I'm eating I feel fine, doesn't have to be anything in particular, just food!! Although cheese is high on the list - esp stilton which I can't have but love - oh well saved inches on the hips I guess!

LipstickMum · 02/11/2004 12:49

Back again, Hi Mrs W, Mrs FP and Miss T. I'm afraid I brought up the subject of food am deciding what to have for lunch. Had the chicken noodle, it was ok up to a point then, had to throw it away. I think I am going to have fried potatoes with salt and pepper That will fill me up!

Why is it than during these early weeks we all seem to crave the most un-nutricious stuff? Greasy stuff, crisps etc?? And salty stuff for a lot of us too. I still eat fruit and veg, because I have to but I dont crave it in the same way as the other stuff.

I am still having ocassional cramps too Mrs W, as I did with dd. I was so worried about it first time round because none of the books seemed to mention it except for the "best-friends guide". I still worry about it, but realise that it's 'normal'

I'm not emotional though, thank the Lord!!! Not yet, anyway

Am off to make my fried potatoes waves

Cobweb · 02/11/2004 13:24

I had a fish finger sandwich. I fried the FF in butter and I tell you what it was blooming lovely

sweetheart · 02/11/2004 13:32

cobweb!!!!!

I'm sooooo

Cobweb · 02/11/2004 13:35

Sweetheart it was all the talk of food that did it LOL

I have resisted diving into the sweetie tin

sweetheart · 02/11/2004 13:36

I've got a ww lasagna - when I can be bothered!!!!!

LipstickMum · 02/11/2004 13:43

Fishfingers fried in butter!!! OMG never done that before! Personally, I like mine grilled I ended up having potatoes with curry spices (Nigella recipe) and 2 fried eggs. I could just about handle the eggs, up to a point.

Feel great though!

MrsWednesday · 02/11/2004 14:04

Stop it - this is food torture!!!!

Well my salad was exciting as you might expect (i.e. not very) but I'm waiting for a meeting at work to finish, then I'm going to dive into the meeting room and scoff as many left-over sausage rolls as I can fit in my gob (which will be a lot). There will be tears if there aren't any left!

sweetheart · 02/11/2004 14:08

hee hee!!!!

MrsW, are you eating a salad to be good???? If so then doesn't the sausage rolls defeat the object - just pig out girl!!!!!!!

You know you want to

GeorgesMummy · 02/11/2004 14:47

Hello everyone,

It sounds like people aren't feeling that sick today judging by all the food talk! When I was pregnant with DS crisps were the only thing I could have for breakfast as everything else made me feel sick. Oh and I was also addicted to curries!! Very unhealthy I know but my DS was born a very healthy 8lb 11 ozs so it didn't do him any harm. I am 7 weeks today and once again crave unhealthy stuff like chips, crisps etc but have gone off chocolate which is odd. Thank God for that though otherwise I'd be huge. I must admit I do always give in to my unhealthy cravings as this is the only time when putting on weight is exciting!

I am finding looking after my DS exhausting at the moment and find myself getting really irritable with him as I am so so tired. I feel really guilty about it. Does anyone else have this problem as my DH thinks that I making up how tired I am?

My Stats are;
Age 21
Married to DH who is 29 for 2 years
Have DS 13 months
Am 7 weeks pregnant today.
Conceived 1st Month with DS1 and 2nd Month this time.

MrsWednesday · 02/11/2004 14:55

Sweetheart, the salad was a feeble attempt to be good. But the sausage rolls were free and free food doesn't have any calories in, so they don't count

Georgesmummy, yep I'm the same with my DS. I wasn't the most cheerful of mummies at 5am this morning when he wanted to get up and watch the teletubbies.

LipstickMum · 02/11/2004 16:05

mmmmm sausage rolls, M&S do pretty decent ones. I hope you hoovered up the lot Mrs W

I am STARVING again, after my huge lunch... ok I must stop talking about food zips lips

GeorgesMummy, my dd, 17 months is quite clingy right now. When I sit a the kitchen table she demands to come up onto the bench and see what's going on. I dont get a minutes peace, plus being sahm it feels even worse BUT, she is totally gorgeous. But, yes, I am tired too and find myself getting a bit short tempered, poor baba, I hope she wont be too traumatised!

sweetheart · 02/11/2004 16:14

Georgesmummy - YES!!!! My dh thinks I'm exagerating about how tired I feel!!!

LOL!!!!! MrsW!!!!! If only free food had no calories - oh what a wonderful world it would be!!! Reminds me of a comment my boss made yesterday about Vodka being free from calories!!!! I WISH

ALSO - DUN DUN DAAAAAAAA!!! Shock Horror Gasp - My dh just rang me and said SORRY!!!!! What a bloody miricle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He asked if I was still upset and then in a huffy voice went "well, I'm sorry" sort of how you'd expect a teenager to - but who cares!!! At least those 2 little words passed his lips!!!

Wooohhhoooooooo!!!!!!

JennyWren · 02/11/2004 16:48

Hello! I haven't been on for ages as I've broken my home computer - long story, but it was all my own fault - pregnancy brain already! However, now I've managed to figure out how to use my work laptop at home, without going through the server at the office. I'm still trying to keep it a secret at work, so I didn't want anyone in IT commenting on the sites I'm accessing!

Mind you - I've had to take the day off work today, I was feeling so rotten. I have had mild nausea since week four, but the last couple of days it has got a lot worse, and I was so tired as well - I wouldn't have been able to do anything productive in the office anyway! I haven't actually been sick, so it could be a lot worse. I was thinking that I was getting off lightly, but now I suspect this may just be the tip of the iceberg! I know that morning (that's a joke to start with!!!) sickness is supposed to tail off by 13 weeks, but does anyone know when it is supposed to peak?

GeorgesMummy · 02/11/2004 16:51

Sweetheart,I'm so pleased you got your apology at last. I really wish men could experience pregnancy, I bet they would stay in bed all day everyday and still moan whereas us women have to juggle kids, work, housework, cooking, you name it, the list goes on!! And if we winge every now and then we get told that we are 'exaggerating'. Sorry, for having a rant but when my DH said that to me last night I nearly exploded. He is lovely most of the time but he has his moments so I know exactly where yuo are ocming from Sweetheart, Men find it very hard to say the 'S' word.
LipstickMum - I am also sahm and as much as I love my DS dearly I do sometimes wish he would sleep more as he doesn't sllep at all during the day and is on the go constantly from 6.30 am to 7pm!

teabelly · 02/11/2004 17:01

Jenny most of us here seem to be getting nausea from about 6 weeks onwards. I'm 10 weeks on thursday and mine's starting to tail off now, not feeling half as bad or for as long...for me the worst weeks were 8 & 9, hth
