Also, almost all my stuff: car seat, pram, snuz pod etc is at my parents house as I've been too scared and superstitious to have it at our house (previous loss) when do you think is sensible time to collect and build?

@Ginfilledcats sorry for your previous loss but this little baby girl is coming and soon ! :) I would get the stuff from your parents anytime now before you are too big and uncomfortable to build it all etc x

@Pegase I really want my other one to leak I'm paranoid it doesn't work 😂

I found one side always produced more milk than the other last time weirdly.

@Pegase and @mrssunshinexxx no colostrum here yet at 32+6 - I had one side that was more generous than the other last time too

I haven't had any leaking either, I'm 31+3 but then I had a breast reduction 12 years ago so it's highly likely I won't be able to BF. If I can it will be a bonus and I will definitely try!

Hope you're all enjoying the lovely sunshine! I'm certainly making the most of washing more baby clothes and blankets in readiness!

No leaking for me yet, although my boobs have been very itchy over the past couple of days. In my previous pregnancies I was leaking from around 25 weeks, I'm 28+1 and nothing so far.

I'm getting leaking from both sides, sometimes it's clear and occasionally it's yellow. Is it just the yellow that is colostrum?

Mine haven't been leaking on their own but I have squeezed them a few times to see and colostrum comes out then! More from my right though, my left doesn't seem to be producing as much.

A heads up guys, aden and anais have got 40% off on lots of items on their website. Apparently their Muslins are the best and massive so I've bought a few, and a sleepsuit. I also googled 'aden and anais discount code UK' and found one that gave me some money off so worth doing that too. Can't remeber which one I used but one worked for me. Also, had midwife appointment today. No signs of pre eclampsia, just big fat ankles 😂

No leaking yet, but I get colostrum if I give them a squeeze. With #1, didn't get a trace of any till he was born. Then had to immediately start expressing for him in NICU.

Do you have to bring your own breast pump to hospital when baby is born? I have one but never seen one included in a hospital bag.

Oh also I had my phone appointment with midwife a few days ago. I asked if water births are still available. She said yes but they advise not to as this Covid can spread via feces . They are not banning it right now but was just her advice.

To add to the poll no colostrum here either, I give them a squeeze every now and then to check! 😂😂😂

Had our first NCT class over Zoom tonight and it actually was quite good, they have also refunded us 15% of the course price as it’s now online instead. So worth still going ahead with it I think, if anyone is on the fence about it.

No leaking yet here either but lots of recent mum friends sending me links to colostrum harvesting which I had no idea about!!

@Rinoa no I never known anyone take a breast pump . Normally actual milk doesn’t come in till after birth so unless your staying in for a while I wouldn’t bother . (But If your planning on breastfeeding I wouldn’t pump straight away anyway)

I had a tiny leak from one side once a few weeks ago and since then nothing.

This video has lots of info about first time breastfeeding and colostrum harvesting (i heard it’s not recommended until at least 37 weeks as it can bring on labour?)

Seconding Aden&Anais muslins. I obviously haven’t used them yet but I bought a pack of four and then got one second hand from a friend of a friend and the second hand one which has obviously been washed several times is SO SOFT. they’re also really pretty which, you know, is just as important 😄

@Rinoa I'm having a water birth come hell or high water ! why would the birthing pool not be completely sterile ?! Or does she mean from your own poo?! I'm confused
