Graduate thread for all the amazing ladies who have endured infertility and are hopefully now starting a new chapter🤞

@Littlelot @Viletta @candycornlover @FlapJackered @Wimbledon1

I got my BFP on Tuesday the 28th and am feeling pretty symptom free today (so obviously panicking that it's all going wrong! 😣). 7 week scan due to be Tuesday the 18th and it feels like a long way away with symptoms going awol! 😥 POAS this morning and it looks spot on for where I should be, so trying to take some comfort from that 🤞🤞🤞

Thinking of you as well this morning @MrsLouB and sending you all the luck. 🍀

@Minster2012 I think the furthest along person is 8 weeks here but it does seem symptoms are starting to crop up. But honestly everyone will be different so I would go ahead and make your plans.

I had my first unpleasant (and quite weird) major symptom incident last night while I was having dinner with a friend. The side of my vision went blurry and I felt out of it for no reason. Obviously I panicked that I've contracted some brain illness at the exact time I've got pregnant and it's going to hurt the baby, but when I looked it up, vision problems are actually a thing in early pregnancy due most likely to hormones and low blood pressure (which I've always had) so in fact think it was caused by the pregnancy. Was a bit scary though and have a mild headache this morning. So that might be the end of me having evenings out after work!!

Nice to hear everyone's stories of who they've told, and interesting that everyone is doing this differently. All about what you are you comfortable with isn't it. But yes @Viletta that does make total sense, when someone else is worried about something it can definitely help you calm down and be rationale for them. Just at the moment I'm getting WhatsApps from MIL about what great parents we'll be etc so it's less worry and more bounding enthusiasm that scares me 😂😂

Lily999 · 25/02/2020 10:46

Keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you @MrsLouB for today!

@Wimbledon1 that is a scary one, hope you are ok. I have also had low blood pressure since forever so better look out for that. We are telling immediate family next Thursday right after the scan, it was so spooky that MIL called DH this morning saying "I don't want to pry, but when am I having a grandkid?" :)
Can't wait to tell them, they have been waiting for this for maybe longer than we have. :)

I am crossing the 6weeks line tomorrow and not having much symptoms apart from the excess saliva (looked up it's apparently normal, but a weird one), I can only eat small portions of food as if I eat normal meals I feel super full and it's not great, but then despite of that I get extremely hungry a few minutes later. Bloated, tired and emotional as usual, a bit freaking out about the 6weeks mark as for some reason I hear most MC's happen around this one, but of course trying to keep my cool.

rainbow178 · 25/02/2020 10:50

Thinking of you today @MrsLouB

I feel queasy constantly today but Better than yesterday. I have also had feelings of light headed ness and feeling ability dizzy and 'out of it'.

Isn't it crazy, you wait all this time for something and then it gets real and it's not amazing after all!

MrsLouB · 25/02/2020 11:38

Thanks ladies back from the scan they couldnt see a yolk sack or a heart beat and measuring 6 weeks 1 day and hasnt grown since last wednesday. As today was my official scan they want to re scan friday and took bloods just to make sure before they tell me to stop the meds x

DobbieFreeElf · 25/02/2020 11:46

Really sorry to hear that @MrsLouB, sending lots of love and hugs x

Wimbledon1 · 25/02/2020 11:55

Oh no @MrsLouB - gutted to hear this. But still measuring at six weeks, so that was the day you went in? I know there's nothing they can do but it just feels so sad that there wasn't a solution then. I guess all hope isn't totally lost but you can at least process a little bit now (which it sounds like you were doing anyway.) Be very kind to yourself, take lots of time, you deserve it. So sorry 💕

Chooklass · 25/02/2020 12:23

Oh I’m so sorry @MrsLouB 💐. I hope you are able to take some time off and have plenty of support around you xx

Lily999 · 25/02/2020 12:29

Sorry to hear that @MrsLouB am I naive thinking they wouldn't scan you again on Friday if there was no hope? Flowers

MrsLouB · 25/02/2020 12:47

Hi all well they said as today was my official first scan day they would take it from today and see where that went. But as we measured around 6 weeks last wednesday and today around 6 +1 and im 6 +4 plus bleeding and no yolk sack viable they said they didnt want me to stop meds just uncase. I assume there have been cases where its a late in planter and even tho heartbeat should be viable for some its not till 7. I am holding onto a little hope its so hard not to but i would like to know 100% either way. I am supposed to be back at work tomorrow but not sure how thats going to go.

I want to wish you all the best and a happy and healthy 9 months xxxxx

Lily999 · 25/02/2020 13:09

We are here for you whatever happens @MrsLouB. Flowers

DH didn't let me put air in my tyres over the weekend as he says it's too much, told him he is being overprotective, but now he said he thinks he should put petrol in my car from now on as I shouldn't smell fuel. Do you think he's got a point?

BambiOnIce80 · 25/02/2020 13:38

I'm so sorry that they couldn't give you a 100% answer today about what's going on @MrsLouB 😔 Like @Lily999 says, we're here for you.x

I think it's lovely that your DH is being overprotective @Lily999 , but then I love a bit of chivalry! 😍 My DP told me last night that he found himself moving seats on the tram because a couple of Chinese tourists sat next to him and he had me "to think about"!! 😷🤦‍♀️Maybe going a bit too far there!! 😂

Minster2012 · 25/02/2020 13:48

@MrsLouB so sorry you didn’t get your answer, we all have everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Lily999 that’s so cute!! But I really don’t think you need to worry about the fumes being harmful but if you feel nauseous it’s not ideal to fill the car up so maybe try top up when he’s around

I’m just totally carrying on as normal currently, cooking cleaning etc though I haven’t done a load of “extra things” and tried not to fall over!! 😂

Lily999 · 25/02/2020 14:27

Yes, I would agree, he is being overprotective and I appreciate he is trying to help, but I still believe getting petrol is just fine. Plus I only have to get petrol once a month as it's a hybrid, so pretty sure it'll be ok.
That's so sweet about DP @BambiOnIce80, he is already becoming the responsible parent!
We are going to the movies tonight to watch that Harrison Ford & dog film and told him spoiler alert I will cry my eyes out whatever happens in that movie for sure as I am super emotional today :)

Viletta · 25/02/2020 14:56

@Lily999 I'd let him do it, one less thing for you to worry about:)

Chooklass · 25/02/2020 15:06

What should I expect tomorrow @BambiOnIce80 ?! It’s an internal scan? And do I need a full bladder?

That is sweet @Lily999! My OH has been doing most of cooking and cleaning, but he often does during the week as I commute and he doesn’t. It’s hugely appreciated as I’m so tired just now! X

Lily999 · 25/02/2020 15:41

Ah, that's so nice, mine does all the cooking as well, but I can't trust him with the cleaning. He's on rubbish and hoovering duty, but I just know he would do a terrible job with the bathroom and dusting.... I know I need to be less of a control freak, will get there I am sure. At least I hope I will.

Good luck for tomorrow @Chooklass, what time is your scan?
