I second cheeky breast pads. And their cheeky wipes. Used for everything round here!!! We've had a set for 3 years they're not as bright as they used to be but still as absorbent/ helpful

peetieswie · 01/02/2020 08:07

After I bought cheeky wipes set they sent me a 15% off code if anyone wants to use it. cheekywipes.refr.cc/9MHKLKF

MsMiaWallace · 01/02/2020 09:23

Does anyone else's partner find your new bump sexy?
My DH is so turned on by me being pregnant, I am grateful as I know some don't like it but the last thing I want right now is sex!!

APD1981 · 01/02/2020 09:52

@MsMiaWallace yes! My DH is always 'in the mood' but he loves my pregnant belly. Bless him, he's been really understanding when I've said I can't face it!

AmyMaria2 · 01/02/2020 11:07

My poor partner isn't getting any action at all, last thing I feel like doing atm 🙈

Had a scan this morning, second part of 20 week scan, face and heart all looked normal (that's what they couldn't see before) he is above average for height weight and head circumference, so maybe a big baby but very happy!! Just can't wait to feel him moving 🤗 x

Bikbikmum · 01/02/2020 11:16

@AmyMaria2 do they do w20 scan in two parts?

APD1981 · 01/02/2020 11:24

@Amymaria2 so glad they got to finish off the scan and you got another sneaky peak. I'm sure it won't be long now before you feel him move - then you can worry all the time about how long it was he last moved! I had that this morning so resorted to jumping, eating grapes for sugar, and drinking fizzy apple juice. Did the trick and baby gave me a couple of kicks!

AmyMaria2 · 01/02/2020 11:35

@Bikbikmum no, only if they couldn't see everything they needed to in the first scan, like because of baby's position!

@APD1981 thank you, aw really 🙈 at least sugar gets the baby going lol, I think I feel something when I'm in the bath but not 100%!

Smiffette · 01/02/2020 12:28

@msmiawallace yes! My DH loves my changing body! I am grateful but I don't either feel as sexy or in the mood as much as before!

Smiffette · 01/02/2020 12:28

Oops

21+5 🤦🏼‍♀️ time is flying by

MissisBee · 01/02/2020 14:13

Another point about breast pads, as my friend found out to the disadvantage of her washing machine filter - ALWAYS put them in the mesh bag to wash!

Blizy · 01/02/2020 15:24

AmyMaria I'm the same in the bedroom department, poor dh!

I very cautiously bought a couple of wee romper suits last night in Boots, they were only £2 each! They had loads of wee summer rompers if anyone is looking.
I have a consultant appointment on Monday to discuss my care, I have a 1:6 chance of the baby having Down's syndrome, I had two failed attempts at the harmony test and have declined any invasive testing.

APD1981 · 01/02/2020 15:34

@Blizy I'm dying to go to Boots and stock up on baby things as I've been given £££ of Boots gift cards. If I can finally feel well enough to go out tomorrow, that's what I'm going to do! I'll look out for the rompers! Hope all goes well with your appt on Monday. I can't believe 2 of the tests haven't worked! That's just shit! Hopefully consultant will be able to give you some peace of mind x

Blizy · 01/02/2020 16:31

APD1981 just my luck! I am quite calm about it now that it has sunk in. If my baby has Down syndrome, so be it. He or she will be loved the same and is so very wanted.
You'll go mad in Boots, my local (big one) had loads of lovely things!

I can't wait to find out the sexy of my baby, I'm waiting until the anomaly scan on
The 12th to find out.
I started to feel proper baby movement yesterday which was lovely, it's helping me to bond with the baby.

mrssunshinexxx · 01/02/2020 17:32

@MsMiaWallace yes, mine is finding me v attractive which is super nice I thought I would struggle with getting bigger but it's the most confident I've ever felt

APD1981 · 01/02/2020 20:41

@Blizy I'm so pleased you've managed to make peace with any potential diagnosis. I think it's amazing ❤️ Your baby is so lucky to have you as his mum x

APD1981 · 01/02/2020 20:42

Oops I meant to put his or her mum 😂

Blizy · 01/02/2020 20:53

Thank you, that's a lovely thing to say, i think it's a boy!

UKtoSK · 01/02/2020 22:11

I’m so glad I’m not the only one in this position! My husband also seems to find pregnant me sexier than regular me but pregnant me doesn’t have any interest at all and doesn’t enjoy it either. I’m too uncomfortable and worrying about the baby. Anyone else hear stories about how great pregnancy sex is before getting pregnant? I feel misled 😂😭

AmyMaria2 · 01/02/2020 23:39

@Blizy that's so lovely, he or she will be a very lucky baby ❤️

@UKtoSK yes I feel very misled, I'm avoiding it completely atm!🙈 x

So the 5am insomnia has now fully kicked in! I thought I was supposed to feel better in the second trimester but am feeling horrendous! Now developed full blown sinusitis and the doc won't give antibiotics yet so suffering though with just paracetamol 😢 Sorry for moaning, just feeling sorry for myself!!

On the plus side my BP has come down slightly so isn't critical just elevated, so just need to monitor at home which is a relief!!

RPPs · 02/02/2020 06:24

@BabyBird20 you are not alone, I am here with you. Ha ha although Im not feeling sick. Bless you, that must be horrible. I have felt nausea when moving from one side to the other and couldn't get back over. I just get up now and watch the previous nights Love Island. Watching the emotions on LI makes me feel normal.

I'm feeling most kicks down below. Mostly when sat cross legged on the sofa eating. Cold drinks also get them moving. I talk to Bambino when it Kicks.

Have a lovely Sunday all

BabyBird20 · 02/02/2020 06:32

@RPPs it's so rubbish isn't it! Though guess it's a lack of sleep we need to be prepared for come June anyway!! I've just lost myself in the depth of MN for the last hour and a half, reading all the random threads about Maltesers, baby sleep and cheating husbands!!

Busylizzie85 · 02/02/2020 06:57

@BabyBird20 @RPPs I am awake also since about 5:30 😴 I have been suffering from rhinitis since first trimester, some days are better than others but it wakes me up not being able to breath, then once I am awake a million things go through my head about the baby and that’s it I’m awake for the rest of the day!

Magpiefeather · 02/02/2020 07:30

It’s so annoying isn’t it that so many people love to tell you “sleep while you can!” When you would dearly love to and can’t.

I do think it’s to get us used to having less sleep in preparation for baby!

I remember with my first, one of the strangest things to get used to was that I never slept deeply anymore once she was here. Always kind of on high alert. Maybe that was just me but I did find it strange as I usually sleep like a log!
