Just had my glucose tolerance test. Went ok. Drink tasted alright actually. Should be finding out the result on Tuesday. I'm quite nervous for some reason.
Otherwise, the fundal measurement was normal. Heart was pumping away fine. Urine was fine (a bit of sugar, which she said was normal because of the sugar I drank for the GTT).

Ladies, please crop out your name when you post pics. Anyone can access this forum. Sorry to be that guy! Lol

Some of us have been thinking about and asking about TwittleBee and how she's getting on. I've just seen a post from her on the Premature Birth topic. I can only assume that this particular thread might be too hard for her to keep up with now.

TwittleBee - if you do read this, then please know I'm thinking of you and wishing you all the very best for you and your baby x

Mj2196 · 13/03/2020 23:11

Has the busiest week at work for Cheltenham to end it Suffering horrendously with thrush. Just sent dp to late night chemist who was refused canesten Cause “it is an absolute NO For pregnant ladies so dangerous” apparently even though I’ve been prescribed it before !!!.. Midwife is always unreachable over weekend so now I’m to suffer till Monday till I can even see when the next gp appointment will be 😭 could honestly cry !

Gigitree · 14/03/2020 05:46

@APD1981 thanks for the update. I had worried that might be why.

@Twittlebee thinking of you and your baby and I hope everything goes well for you both ❤️ Xx

mrssunshinexxx · 14/03/2020 07:10

@Mj2196 have you got thrush ?

I had it in first trimester and midwife said absolutely fine to use cream and peccary but NOT the oral tablet and don't put the peccesart in with the applicator just use your fingers hope this helps x

Mj2196 · 14/03/2020 07:37

@mrssunshinexxx yes thank you !! I had the soft gel pessary and the cream last time at about 14 weeks & it was fine . But the man at Asda pharmacy last night wouldn’t sell it to dp once he said I was pregnant . Now he thinks it’s dangerous and I’m not allowed it 😩. Going to try my luck at supermarket today x

mrssunshinexxx · 14/03/2020 07:39

@Mj2196 I got mine in boots x

newbyxx · 14/03/2020 08:01

@Mj2196 I got turned down at two different pharmacy's once I said/ they saw I was pregnant, midwife said it's fine as long as it's the pessary or cream so I just sent my mum in to get it instead.
Hit the 3rd trimester milestone 😊 only 11 weeks left until being induced!
28 weeks x

I had an interesting email from bounty today if anyone else has the app I’m sure you received it too around the Coronavirus! It breaks down information in certain situations.
I also noticed however today the youngest patient being a baby at 11 weeks has been diagnosed today which makes me worry more.
My antenatal classes have been suspended until further notice so I now feel I’m on my own. ☹️

APD1981 · 14/03/2020 10:01

@Busylizzie85 try to rationalise it and take comfort in the fact that pregnant women aren't seemingly suffering adversely from it and that any infants that have caught it have been OK. It's likely we'll all catch it at some point in our lives (our babies included) so keeping as fit as and healthy as is in your control is the best thing to do.

Missgemini · 14/03/2020 10:15

@Mj2196 sorry to hear you've been suffering. I remember having thrush and it is so damned uncomfortable. I hope you can sort something this weekend.

I was also told by my midwife that antenatal classes and physiotherapy for SPD will be cancelled shortly.
So sad to be pregnant and not have the experience of going to antenatal classes, but I totally understand the reasoning.
They are planning to make videos instead.

MissisBee · 14/03/2020 14:39

I'm fairly sure you can buy pessary and cream in the supermarket.
I've been buying omeprazole OTC for the past few weeks. Now too visibly pregnant to go and get it myself, so will be sending DH to get the next supply.

Also thinking of you @Twittlebee and sending you love

Liveforholidays · 14/03/2020 17:00

Hi, hope you don't mind me jumping onto this thread. I'm due 1st June so wanted to find ladies going through similar things as me.

Gigitree · 14/03/2020 17:20

@liveforholidays - hi 👋🏻 new people are always welcome here 😀

Is anyone else avoiding public places at all due to the coronavirus? I’m wondering if I should stop going swimming/to my aquanatal classes? I imagine at some point the aquanatal classes will get cancelled like the NCT classes probably will. But I love being in the water as it really helps my SPD so I don’t want to stop going until it’s necessary, but obviously I also don’t want to put myself at risk.

Liveforholidays · 14/03/2020 17:43

@gigitree thank you! I'm starting to worry a bit about coronavirus now. Am a teacher who goes into lots of different schools which means I'm exposed to lots of gems. Seems silly to avoid public places when I'm surrounded my germy children 4 days a week. 😱

pollysproggle · 14/03/2020 17:54

Hi everyone! New to the thread and due 21st June although I'm likely to be induced early.

Was wondering if you've had the whooping cough vaccine did you suffer any side effects? I have a dead arm but also feel like the baby hasn't moved as much since, is there a connection?
I do have an anterior placenta but I feel the usual pattern is off since I had it yesterday afternoon. I still feel him moving but the kicks are definitely less.
26 weeks tomorrow with DS3

Mj2196 · 14/03/2020 18:05

Thanks ladies I sent dp in boots I waited outside 😂🙌🏻 X

Was surprised the baby show went ahead today but we decided to go for it and picked up a couple of bits, ordered our snuzpod 3 for delivery at the end of may as I was too scared to have it in the house before that 🙈. But we had a fantastic day !

Cornishbumpkin · 14/03/2020 18:44

Welcome @pollysproggle. Definitely had a dead arm for couple of days, was 16 weeks when I had mine so not sure about the movements but I wouldn't have thought it would be connected. Suggest a call to your midwife/ triage if your worried

So tonight my SIL came round, she's a nurse and I know she works in a hospital but she was talking about how she works on the respiratory ward (I didn't know this) and how she has people in with suspected Coronavirus! She said she's been testing them and having to wear protective clothing. None have tested positive yet. I got extremely scared about her being in my house but I didn't say anything. I'm thinking of speaking to DH about her not coming round at the moment or us being near her whilst she is working with these people, AIBU? What would you lot do in my situation? Feeling really nervous 😟

MissisBee · 14/03/2020 20:12

@pollysproggle may not be related to the vaccine at all, but if you're concerned about movement, I would give them a call.

@chocolate26 if your SIL feels she's safe to come round, then I would accept that. HCPs seem to be taking this most seriously of all (speaking as one too).

We've reduced our activities, mainly toddler groups and things, also decided to put my Guide unit on hold. Not so much of fear for myself, but for our relatives, especially MIL, who is going through cancer treatment and is very anxious. Also, don't want to risk catching even a normal cough, and having to miss antenatal appointments because of it - getting towards the anxious part of pregnancy now, when it all started to go wrong last time. Not completely isolating, going for walks etc and will do trips to shops when needed. Still at work for another 4 weeks, but being well protected by my colleagues.

BabyBird20 · 14/03/2020 20:55

Hi all, been away for a while but just catching up! This coronavirus situation is so stressful isn't it. I'm a teacher surrounded by germy children who are in contact with so many people then come to school to share their germs, it's really scary! Specially now a newborn has caught it, will be watching for news about that for sure!!

Has anyone heard anything from NCT about classes being cancelled? Mine are booked for April but really worried I won't get all the info I need if it's cancelled and the NHS ones are too! 😬😬

Rinoa · 14/03/2020 21:10

@BabyBird20 mine is beginning of April and have not hear anything yet ! But have a midwife appointment before it so maybe she can tell me!

Rinoa · 14/03/2020 21:12

@chocolate26 YANBU I would talk to your Hubby and I bet he'll agree. DH has been really protective because of this and we don't really care if ppl think we're being over the top. Better to try to take as many precautions as you can.

Rinoa · 14/03/2020 21:18

@Missgemini I just got referred to the physio for PGP last week and have not had a call yet 😭 you think it may have been out on hold? I'm a first timer so have no idea what I should do for the pain. Ive read conflicting exercise techniques online that can help or make it worse so I've refrained from doing any. 😖

chocolate26 · 14/03/2020 21:43

It's all so hard isn't it! I've got a couple of hospital appointments coming up and I'm wondering if they will be cancelled. One is to decide if I can give birth naturally or not due to my heart condition so I'm worried about that one being cancelled.

I swing between this virus is awful and we are all in trouble to thinking it's just a virus like a cold or flu and the majority of us will be okay and it's getting blown out of proportion.
