I don’t really have a defined ‘bump’ due to the fact that I already had a big stomach. But I still feel all of her movements down low & im also experiencing pelvic pain!

Love all these updates. I was just saying to my husband how helpful they are because the similar experiences set the mind at ease.
Bambino was moving and kicking, probably dancing too all day Saturday, probably because I was on the go all day. But yesterday I had to coax Bambi to kick. I literally give my tummy a wee rub and ask Bambino for a kick. 9 times out of 10 I get one just to reassure. I talk to the baby all the time now. Was so emotional on saturday and the whole thought of actually carrying a real live human in my body
It is really overwhelming.
I've noticed severe lower back pain and sore feet (heels) if Im on my feet for long. Also hip pain gets so bad I move every hour. I agree the preg pillow makes it worse unless you put it between your thighs. But im waking up in sweats.
Loving the bump pics. You all look blooming lovely.

umabb · 02/03/2020 11:02

Ohh nice to see all the bump photos. X

I stayed home today but the husband went to carrying in a mask in the bag but said nobody he saw wearing one on train or underground. Will be interesting to hear what they will conclude in today's cobra meeting. @Rinoa did the HR get back ?

The baby's kicks have been less strong in the last week or so. I can still feel the movements every couple of hours but definitely not as strong as he did at 24wks. I looked at a few posts online and people say it might have something to do with baby facing my back, or he's going through a growth spurt. Not sure if worth to talk to midwife again because as of last Friday heart beat sounded all fine, and the at usual busy hours (eg 8-9 pm) he still gives quite a lot of kicks - lighter but lots. Not sure if I need to act on it 😧

@umabb
So long as you feel movement, I wouldn't be overly concerned! It is probably a case of baby changing position like you say, they're still small enough to have plenty of room but if you're concerned, always speak to your midwife! Smile I think I had a day last week where his movements were not quite as fierce as usual but he's back full force so I assumed he's turned back!

@RPPs aw I talk to my baby girl all the time too especially when I'm driving in the car alone x

chocolate26 · 02/03/2020 12:10

My movements vary so much, some days they are really strong and I feel him/her pretty much all day and then some days like Saturday just gone I only felt him/her very slightly and nothing for a good few hours during the day! I think it's where baby turns around and is kicking the other way Smile yesterday and all through the night he/she was kicking away constantly.

My DH works in London but he drives in so he doesn't have to get on the trains or tubes. I am concerned about the Coronavirus with him being in London everyday and have told him to make sure he's washing his hands all the time and using hand sanitizer. I'm trying not to worry too much as there's not much we can do about it apart from keep good hygiene and not get too close to people out and about.

Magpiefeather · 02/03/2020 12:46

Love seeing the bump pics! My bump size and shape seems to change all the time, must be baby’s position etc and whether I’m constipated or not!

Saw MW on Friday and she measured me for the first time, said I’m measuring bang on which is a relief. It was so lovely to hear the baby’s heart beat too.

I’m 24 weeks now which was a big milestone in my head, now I know if baby decided to come early the medics would try and save him. I know hopefully he’s still got a lot of cooking to do and it’s a bit of an irrational thought but it does feel very good to be past this stage!

mrssunshinexxx · 02/03/2020 12:59

@Magpiefeather couldn't agree more the 6 month milestone is a big one

Also .. constipation! I feel your pain

Rinoa · 02/03/2020 14:06

@umabb yes they got back today and said it's sensible to wfh for me and to speak to my supervisor. Which I did and they are going to try and get a plan to sort me out to wfh !

umabb · 02/03/2020 15:04

That's great! I think I'll need to have a proper conversation with my managers too. They told me previously that I can work from home as much as I want when I had complications in the first trimester - they are generally very good - but i have not really discussed with them about this potential outbreak which I'm getting more and more worried about when I get on public transport each day. @Rinoa
@chocolate26 I hear you and same with my husband. His work is planing for some of the people work in the business contingency site, some work from home and some remain current location so in case one of the sites had to lockdown it doesn't impact bau, which is sensible - but don't know when it'll kick into action. I really don't trust the boris Jonson government to do anything in time so we can feel safe - it'll be too late. We'll need to do something for ourselves like Rinoa did....

@Doubl @chocolate26 today seems to have quite a lot of kicks maybe just because I'm not going anywhere - sitting in front of my desk, no commuting! So I feel him a lot more. Some are strong kicks that I hadn't felt for a few days! Thanks ladies x

25+1 today

Gigitree · 02/03/2020 16:31

@KLS02 same here! I get such strong kicks when I’m in the bath!

Just had my 25 week appt with the midwife! All well and the bump is only 1 Cm above average which is great as I was super paranoid I'd just got really fat with all the biscuits I eat! 😂😂 Asked midwife about position and she said it's too early to worry as they move so much at the moment. Also she said to start monitoring a pattern of when he kicks not how hard which is good to know as he varies so much! Some days I barely feel him but can tell he's there and other days I get a massive boot in the belly button!! 😍😍

25 weeks today!

Magpiefeather · 02/03/2020 19:29

@mrssunshinexxx a right pain in the bum isn’t it!

Zoey92 · 02/03/2020 19:46

Apologies for the comfys 😂 first thing i throw on when i get in 😂🤦‍♀️

Smiffette · 03/03/2020 09:32

Loving the bump pics!

I'm just waiting following my first set of blood tests and the glucose drink.... which wasn't actually as bad as I was expecting!

Back in at 10:45 for second set! Can't wait for food, I packed a little lunch so I could eat when I'm done!

APD1981 · 03/03/2020 10:13

I'm loving the bump pics too. I keep trying to upload a photo via the app and it tells me it's done it but then it doesn't appear. Annoying!

I've got my 25 week MW appt this afternoon, despite being 26+2. I'm really looking forward to it as I have loads of questions and I would really like reassurance about the bleed I had on Saturday. Baby is moving loads so looking forward to hearing the heartbeat, too 😊

LillianFullStop · 03/03/2020 12:22

I'm WFH this week as well until there is more clarity on the guidance - I suspect I will WFH as much as possible unless I need to be in for something specific.

Anyone else feeling really big all of a sudden - bump feels higher and pushing up against the ribs (ouch) and I definitely find it harder to get up from lying down now.

26+4 💙

LillianFullStop · 03/03/2020 12:24

Hope all goes well @Smiffette - mine is in 2 weeks and I am planning to have a burger across the road right after!
