@umabb yeah apparently it will make him move his feet out of my pelvis area, I'm going to try it tomorrow if he hasn't moved or if the pressure hasn't relieved at all. Tell me about it! X

hjbows88 · 18/02/2020 21:16

Glad you’re all ok ladies, the little buggers do like to worry us don’t they! I get pain on and off, often feels like a stitch but it’s in my groin and often on both sides. Also get heavy pains and occasionally cramps/feeling like I need the loo! All of these come and go and I got checked for them earlier in pregnancy and was reassured all normal!

LillianFullStop · 18/02/2020 21:38

I find I get that pain when I walk for too long or too fast - but a belly support band helped in my last pregnancy so I've started wearing one again now. I take it off at home but wear it out when I know I'll be out and about.

Anyone tried belly supports yet?

Cornishbumpkin · 18/02/2020 23:10

Had a bit of a scary time yesterday, had a small bleed in the morning then didn't feel him move all day, went to the DAU and they listened in. So good getting reassurance that he's ok! Does anyone else work night shifts? I think I may have just overdone it with shifts this week, worked 61hrs including 2 night shifts :/ need to learn to rest more lol

AmyMaria2 · 18/02/2020 23:43

@LillianFullStop that's a good idea, I've heard of the belly support bands, I might try one, where is yours from? Pressure and pain I'm getting low down is pretty constant atm!

@Cornishbumpkin ah that must of been so worrying, glad you heard baby and all is okay, maybe you could do less night shifts or swap with someone x

umabb · 19/02/2020 07:28

@LillianFullStop I've got a belly support band which I tried on once twice when I was out walking at the weekends. It does help reduce the soreness in the back. Haven't got the habit of wearing it daily even though going to work involves quite a bit of a walk. I don't think it'll be very comfortable to sit down with and I have a 30mins train plus 15 mins underground journey to get in work.

@cornishbumpkin so glad to hear your baby is OK. They don't half like to scare us! X

Doubl · 19/02/2020 10:38

Suggest a pillow between legs in the night for those with pelvic pain, something to do with aligning your bones (I can't remember Grin) but helped slightly with DC1. Tbh the only thing that prevented the pain was lack of walking, just one of the pregnancy joys!

@LillianFullStop
Considering a pregnancy band! Find if I'm walking a lot, my bump really starts to hurt unless I walk extra slow, which is great Confused

LillianFullStop · 19/02/2020 11:07

@AmyMaria2 I'm just using the ones from JoJo Maman Bebe - real easy to wear and soft fabric. It says to wear the same size as pre-pregnancy so I got the small but it is feeling quite snug now haha I might get the medium when I get bigger.

@umabb do you have the heavier duty ones you fit with Velcro straps? I have one of those but never found them comfortable either and they look terrible under clothes! Try the softer pull on ones - they're more like shape wear or compression tights in how they feel on so definitely a lot more comfortable.

Last pregnancy when I got to 38w it wasn't quite enough and needed the heavier duty one for support but definitely at this stage it's perfect!

Glad to hear all ok @cornishbumpkin!

LillianFullStop · 19/02/2020 11:09

They've got a few options:

www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/maternity-clothes/maternity-support-belts.html

I went with the £12 bump support maternity band

Busylizzie85 · 19/02/2020 12:04

I have just ordered one of those @LillianFullStop hopefully I’ll see a difference in walking and at work!

Cornishbumpkin · 19/02/2020 22:30

Thanks for the support ladies Smile they certainly do keep us on our toes.

Weird thing I've noticed today... my bellybutton is shallowing out Confused just me??

AmyMaria2 · 20/02/2020 07:28

@Cornishbumpkin omg I was going to say the same thing! My belly buttons so shallow it's almost level with my tummy 🤣 I suppose this is normal and probably just because I have got a big bump! X

TwittleBee · 20/02/2020 07:52

Belly buttons pop out too for some women btw!

Zoey92 · 20/02/2020 08:49

Not having a good week, so tired & groggy!
Everything seems a chore, which is no good as i deal with the public on a daily. Anyone had weeks like this?
Probably doesnt help lil miss kicks away till 11:30 every night atm.

I'm ment to be going dress shopping for my best friends wedding dress on sunday, she's wanting to go at 9:30am all day i honestly don't think i cant handle it

LillianFullStop · 20/02/2020 10:07

Hope it works for you @Busylizzie85!

My belly button is stretching out too! Last time it was completely flat/inside out by the time I was full term and it didn't go back to normal for a couple of months. So odd!

@Zoey92 anything "all day" is impossible now!

umabb · 20/02/2020 10:52

@LillianFullStop not those not quite heavy /stiff so not so comfortable sitting down. Will try it again but properly only for walking at weekends.

umabb · 20/02/2020 10:52

Mine has flattened out and looking ready to pop to an outside soon

AndddddHerewegoagain · 20/02/2020 16:25

My belly button has popped. Makes me feel sick everytime I accidentally touch or brush past it Envy

chocolate26 · 20/02/2020 17:49

My belly button is staring to pop out too! I usually have a very definite innie but it's pushing out now.

Does anyone have low blood pressure? I fainted on Tuesday night and have been feeling so dizzy and lethargic for a while, went to the doctors today and my BP is 80/50! Very low.

newbyxx · 20/02/2020 18:57

Such a stressful 24 hours my phone, credit card and PayPal got hacked 😩, have felt so stressed and have cried etc and then worried about the baby because I've been so stressed, midwife let me pop down to see her and listen to heartbeat as he's not been very active, he's all good! Just such a worry all the time. Still not feeling much but I've heard his heartbeat nice and strong so at least I can relax this evening! Hope everyone else is ok. X

hjbows88 · 20/02/2020 23:20

Yes @chocolate26 - I was 79/50 on my last check. Lower than normal but I’ve always had low BP and fortunately not fainted or had dizziness etc. Hope you’re ok!
