@Mj2196 thanks that's really interesting to know as I was thinking of having my 4d scan at 28 weeks ish as I thought anytime before that would be to early. I also have anterior placenta.

@chocolate26 I've been having regular Braxton Hicks, uncomfortable and strange feeling but I've had no pain with it so I'd ring if I was you.

In regards to the motivation then I'm also with you ladies on that one! I seem to have zero to do anything especially work I've become so uninterested in it I've started counting down to my maternity leave... 9 weeks to go haha

@Blizy I'm so happy for you and your baby girl ❤️ Enjoy that feeling of relief! X

SearchingTheSkies · 12/02/2020 17:19

Lovely news @Blizy - congratulations!!

Magpiefeather · 12/02/2020 17:20

Yes Braxton hicks over here too, mostly when I’ve overdone it or not drunk enough water it seems (which at the moment is all the time, we are moving on Friday so trying to pack up the house around toddler means lots of burning the midnight oil!) I need a big sleep when we are in the new house!

Pegase · 12/02/2020 17:58

Congratulations @Blizy

Mine was all clear too and also having a girl! ❤️

APD1981 · 12/02/2020 18:08

@pegase lovely news x

LillianFullStop · 12/02/2020 18:15

Congrats on the scans @pegase and @Blizy!

I had another scan today and baby has gone down form 30th centile to

Blizy · 12/02/2020 18:53

Fab news @Pegase

UKtoSK · 12/02/2020 20:54

Congratulations @Pegase and @Blizy. My scan is this Friday, hoping for similar good news!

I’m also lacking motivation at work in particular. I only have five working days left and I thought it would get easier as I got closer to the end but it just gets harder and harder to go in each day. I only work for about two hours in the morning and yet still seems like such an effort.

Yesterday though the seven year olds were giving me name suggestions for the baby, everything from Julia to ‘Baby’. Some others were Emmy, Lily, Edie, Maisie. Their first language isn’t English so I was impressed that they came up with some actually pretty names. None I’m going to choose though I think... but it was so cute.

RPPs · 12/02/2020 21:14

@Magpiefeather I was due to be moving back into my house this weekend after 7 months but alas the bloody decorator hasn't finished. I'm desparate to get in but not looking forward to packing and unpacking.
Anyone find hoovering quite sore now?

Those with Eczema, I've had it most of my life. My got to when I get a breakout is Aveeno Hand Cream. Lay it on thick, especially at bedtime and it will start to ckwar in a few days. If its really itchy it could be liver related and you should contact a midwife.

RPPs · 13/02/2020 05:08

I've had horrid heartburn in the last day. Pharmacist said we can have the singke action Gavisgonor Rennies. I got liquid Rennies, although it was minging, it sorted out the burn immediately.

23weeks

MsMiaWallace · 13/02/2020 07:26

Got my scan today. Anyone else?

Zoey92 · 13/02/2020 08:41

Had my whooping cough jab & flu jab together yesterday, holy crap my arm where i had my whooping jab is killing me this morning!

chocolate26 · 13/02/2020 10:19

That's great news @Blizy @Pegase 😊

UKtoSK · 13/02/2020 11:17

Hospital called today and my anatomy scan has been moved from tomorrow to the 27th. It’s a bit disappointing because I would feel much more relaxed about buying baby stuff after getting the all clear and now I feel like I’m still waiting again.

peetieswie · 13/02/2020 17:25

Been getting big kicks you can feel from outside. I didnt feel much for aged but baby has defo had growth spurt. Husband hasnt felt it tho as it stops every time. Massive kicks all through year 13 lesson today!

APD1981 · 14/02/2020 09:03

@UKtoSK can't believe you have to wait so long! It's agonising waiting as it is! So sorry. I really hope it goes quickly for you.

@peetieswie I've been getting huge kicks a lot and even ones I can feel when teaching now. Husband has felt and seen them and I have videoed them too. Hope yours get more pronounced soon so hubby can feel!

I travelled down to London yesterday (from NW England) to see a show so my routine was all out of sync. I didn't have my usual kicking session whilst lying on the couch because I was at the theatre and, although I could feel movements there, I was less aware of them. Got back to the hotel and baby was really quiet. I was exhausted so fell straight to sleep. Woke a few times in the night... Still really quiet. So, I started to worry. I was desperate for hubby to wake up so I could move around and get a drink to try and get it moving. Anyway, after eating Haribo and drinking hot tea at 7am baby slowly started to kick and is now going bonkers again. Phew. They don't half make you worry, especially when your routine changes!

hjbows88 · 14/02/2020 09:09

I’m not monitoring my movements at all at this stage as I think it only leads to panic and the nhs are very clear that there is no pattern until 28 weeks. As long as I feel something each day I’m taking that as reassurance and not monitoring it beyond that!

APD1981 · 14/02/2020 09:19

@hjbows88 I'm trying to remind myself all the time that it's too early for worrying but I'm a natural overthinker so, in the middle of the night, it starts to get to me.

BabyBird20 · 14/02/2020 09:36

I'm still only feeling mine every few days at the moment and really trying not to worry each time I don't feel him but it's hard! The midwives reassured me that they wouldn't be worried until after 25 weeks but i keep trying the cold drinks and sugary snacks anyway... good excuse for some chocolate!! 😊

Magpie21 · 14/02/2020 11:01

I’m in the same boat movement wise. The kicks started last week. On Monday they were very pronounced and the every day since has been much quieter. It’s early, so trying not to worry.

20 week scan went well a couple of weeks ago - We are having a girl! Had to use the fizzy sugary drink trick to get her in the right position - Which was actually a treat as I’ve tried to cut down on the sugary treats during my pregnancy!

May I ask what people are thinking crib wise for the first few months? A lot of people have been mentioning the ‘Next to me Crib’ and then there’s the a Moses basket.

UKtoSK · 14/02/2020 11:04

@APD1981 thanks, that’s all pregnancy seems to be is waiting! Also I’m an over thinker just like you, and the middle of the night after falling asleep without feeling anything is the worst!

Thought I’d got away with not catching the cold my husband had at the weekend but last night it finally got me. Luckily I have Fridays off so I have a good three days to just rest it off.

chocolate26 · 14/02/2020 11:40

@Magpie21 we are getting the snoozepod, it is similar to the next2me but I prefer the look of it as it's more woody rather than material.

My baby's movements are also really random, some days they are really strong and some days they are fainter. I have realised in the last day or so that the kicks are higher now, I still get lots of low down ones but I've had a few more almost above my belly button. I'm 22 weeks tomorrow. I've noticed that when my routine changes I don't feel baby as much and then when I go to sleep without feeling it I generally wake up in the night worrying about it.

Smiffette · 14/02/2020 11:47

@magpie21 I will be using a Moses basket, my friend gave me theirs I just bought a new mattress for it
